All were emphatic about us using him to fix all our fencing. Eric is an upright guy who takes pride in his work. His crue has been with him for years. We got bids from a couple of other companies, and Eric came in at nearly the same $ amount. The difference was the other bids were quoting "Pine" (which is cheaper and doesn't last as long) vs. Eric using Cedar (which lasts longer). His bid also included a Kickboard at the bottom that prevents wood rot at the bottom (required by Timmarron SOUTHLAKE HOMEOWNERS Association HOA). Also, Eric is aware of HOA fence color requirements and was included in bid. Since the weather was favorable, it took two days to both remove old fences, set new metal poles in cement, and build a new fence. One extra challeng... my neighbors yard sits higher than my yard and we had built a concrete wall to improve drainage. The concrete wall was built against the old fence. Eric was able to blend the new fence better than the previous fence. Just an excellent job. Eric is a great guy to work with, and his crew are professional and polite. We were…read moreimpressed by the fact that the steel posts are set deeper into the ground and we could choose pre-stained boards to be installed. We decided to proceed and were added to the schedule. The old fence was removed, and new posts were set in anticipation for the boards to be installed after the concrete was set and dried. Our fence was installed in May, 2017 and it is still standing straight! We love our fence! We did have a problem with one of our side gate doors that was warping a few months after installation. This gate door is right off the driveway and used frequently to access our trash and recycling. We contacted Abe and after meeting, it was decided that we would need to add a metal door frame to keep it straight. We paid to add the metal frame in September, 2017 and haven't had any other issues with this gate door. The work crew was very efficient and professional and got the entire board on board fence completed in two days! We're so happy we chose the pre-stained boards. We decided to add the slanted horizontal pieces that deter anyone climbing on the fence. They did have to stain that after it was installed. Everything still looks great 4 years later!

I texted him the next day and called the office number to which I got a message that call wouldn't go through. He still hasn't responded. The fence as it sits and as it has sat since we purchased the home in 2016 is completed from what we can tell as the bare minimum as could be done. Boards randomly tacked up horizontally across the bottom all the way around. I wouldn't have accepted it personally as a job I paid my hard money for but I wanted to give the original builders the opportunity to put in a gate to replace one they originally built as, well, the gate worked and that is all I am looking for now, a new functional gate. They don't want your business apparently. The sign they hang on the fencing is for decoration I guess, because they refuse to answer or contact back, guess they have too much money. Most of those areas were behind the metal posts, however they still managed to slop paint on many of the posts. The entire top rail was also missed. We expect professionals to protect our property, but they heavily stained our grass. It would not have taken much time to throw a tarp down. I had to take a half day off of work to point out the issues. There was no apology or reason for the shotty work, just "Well that's why we are here to fix it.", I called and asked that the owner call us. We received no call. This job cost us over $900, but not worth half the amount. They lack respect for property and seem to care less about quality work. We do not recommend this company. I was introduced to Housewright Fence by a neighbor. Our shared fence blew down in a storm, due to…read morethe original wood posts rotting. We all hate to replace fences and I am particularly bad at procrastinating about it, but after propping the old fence up for a few months, I had to cave and share the expense with our neighbor. Being frugal (i.e. cheap) I only replaced the shared fence, delaying the rest of the fence replacement for later. Housewright replaced the old wooden posts with metal posts and installed a beautiful red cedar fence. All the wood was prestained, before arriving at our house, allowing Housewright to stain ALL surfaces of the wood, to prevent decay for as long as possible. We opted for a horizontal "rot board" as well, so that the fence's pickets could be raised enough to prevent having their ends submerged, even in the heaviest rain. Again, this is done so that the fence lasts as long as possible. Have I mentioned I HATE replacing fences? They did such a great job on the first fence section, that when I was ready to replace the rest of our fence, I didn't go out for quotes. I just reached out to Housewright Fence to do the job. It took a while to get on the schedule, but with supply chain issues, we were able to get the job done within a few weeks of placing our deposit. The crew worked hard in a day so hot, I didn't even want to step outside. They were courteous, careful to not damage our plants, patio furnishings or garden trellises and their post-construction cleanup left nothing behind. We've been doing LOTS of work, to transform our backyard from a place just for the dogs to poop, into a place for peaceful reflection and relaxation. Our new fence was the final touch in our backyard's transformation and I'm grateful our neighbor found Housewright. Need a fence but procrastinating like me? Go ahead and call Housewright. We had about 200' of 6' cedar fence installed in about 2 days, from start to finish. They also put a gate in a section on wrought iron fence where we needed one, and it works perfectly. Our neighbors on one side did not want a new fence, complained about us removing our trees, and were generally not fun to deal with. The crew had to put up with their complaining as well, but did so with a smile and even filled the gap between their old, falling down, chain link gate and the new wood fence. Even they are happy with the fence that they didn't want! Jay was extremely responsive to my emails and texts and they even billed my side neighbor separately for his half of that section of fence so that we didn't have to deal with that. He took care of everything from start to finish. We are so happy with our new privacy fence and will definitely look to Housewright Fence when we need to address the fence on the other side of our yard.

The head person threatened us, saying they'd tear down this $hi**y fence, would throw it in our yard and leave all of it for us to clean up. This was unnecessarily aggressive and highly unprofessional. If you're considering hiring this company, I encourage you to read their many reviews, which describe the owner as verbally aggressive and hostile, plus the business's replies calling their customers liars. We witnessed this first-hand yesterday and the owner unleashed with vitriol on Nextdoor when we shared the facts about our interactions, and then deleted all of their comments (which is also telling, as their accusations were inappropriate). Buyer beware and make sure to read the Fence Boss reviews and do a background check before you decide to go with these folks-- this wasn't an isolated incident, but a pattern of behavior with past customers. However, if you want to move forward and tear down your neighbor's fence without their approval... these are your guys!
