Their payment for service is terrible. Their invoice clearly states that they accept credit cards without any indication that they charge an extra 3.5% for service fees. They don't accept credit cards unless the person can come by and physically swipe your card. They will accept checks and Zelle but not Venmo or PayPal. In addition, I kept waiting for an ETA for when they would stop by. They mentioned that it would be later in the day. They never texted or called and just knocked at the door. I had to scramble to reschedule a work meeting that was supposed to start 20 minutes after they arrived. It seems like they would do good enough work but the hassle of scheduling and payment will have me looking elsewhere when we have future needs. read more

I initally requested a quote from Dawn for my sprinkler repair. We were scheduled to meet Friday afternoon, (afternoon temp was 108), but the heat made it non viable for everyones safety. So, she came on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM, before the heat. Dawn quoted me 2h hours to fix my sprinkler and replace a few heads and get the pressure up in my system. She also disengaged my rain sensor, since it was non functional. She told me her hourly rate was $95 an hour, and that's what she charged me, plus parts from her vendor. I had to leave before she was done with the repair, and she left me an invoice to pay when I got home. She quoted me about $225 when she found the problem, plus parts. Final total for everything was $290, parts and labor. She did let me know there was more work that needed to be done on the system for my sprinkler, but it wasnt an emergency and she could come back and do it another day. I do highly reccomend Dawn and all she did for my system and repairs was resoanble and very well done. She also sent me a paid invoice about 5 hours after I paid, per my request. Will be calling on again for more repair work on my sprinkler system. read more

I expected a quality chain fence professionally installed. What I got was a never ending parade of Dawns personal drama about her estranged boyfriend / work partner Eve, a horrible fence, and a mess to clean up. Fence looks looks terrible. They even took some of my left over concrete pads and used them to fill the final 2 ft. of fence. Don't be suckered by this couple. Scam artist! read more

I really had my hopes up for this company and wanted to use them for some stonework in my front yard. I had contacted Dawn and was asked to communicate via text. After briefly describing what I was wanting, she set a date to come out to my house to take a look and to meet me. Initially, she said she could meet me at my house on 12/31. Then the day of 12/31, she texts and asks if there's any way we can meet the next day on 1/1. Understanding it was the holiday season, I thought nothing of it and told her that was fine. Then on 1/1, she says she can't make it and asks if she can meet on 1/2. Then on that day, she asks if she can postpone and meet on 1/3, stating everything will be back to normal then. Once again, on 1/3, she states she cannot meet and will definitely come by on 1/4 while I'm at work, but will take a look at everything and give me a quote. The evening of 1/4, I text to confirm whether she actually stopped by and she said she did and will provide a quote the next day (1/5). It is almost midnight of 1/7 (i.e., about 48 hours has passed since she's supposed to send me the quote), and nothing. This has been an utterly horrendous and unprofessional experience. If communication is this horrible, and it's that hard for her to do as she promises (to meet on dates she specifies and to send a quote), I'm not sure I can trust her with anything more complicated such as landscaping. I would not even bother with this company. read more

I wrote a review in 2012 but most people write a review when they first start using a company and it leaves you wondering if they are still satisfied with the service. The answer is yes! Let me start by saying I do not have a green thumb, a sprinkler system, or time to spend on my yard. So it says a lot that Daybreak can keep my yard looking good. I do use their mowing, fertilizing and shrubbery maintenance so I can tell you without a doubt they do a great job. If I could give it 10 stars I would! This is the only Landscaping company I would recommend to anyone. We went through several landscapers and they were way overpriced. Dawn is a kind and easy person to work with. We needed a dog proof backyard with no grass. She made a stunning rock/mulch combo with ornamental grass and desert type plants in our backyard making it mud free for the dogs. She also added irrigation on top of it. I found Daybreak Landscaping last year at the State Fair. The design work was wonderful so I called Dawn to get her to re-landscape my front flowerbeds. The work was done quickly, the plants she used were so healthy and beautiful and when one plant didn't make it through the hot summer she quickly replaced it. She also installed a fountain that I could see it from inside as well as outside. Although I called her for flower beds, she now handles the lawn mowing, treatments and fertilizing, trimmed our giant pecan trees and repaired sprinkler problems when they come up. I appreciated Dawn's promptness to respond to inquiries regarding an estimate on an initial clean up for a home and was hoping to use Daybreak Landscaping for all my home's needs (initial clean up, sprinklers, weekly maintenence, etc.). Unfortunately, I received a citation for the lawn during the time I was waiting for Daybreak Landscaping to complete/start their services. I waited for two weeks for services (late October), of which I was told was going to begin during the middle of October.
