BUYER BEWARE I hired James Pryor, owner of JP Gaseline and Excavations from Turtle Creek, based on the recommendation from HomeAdvisor. I gave this contractor a deposit of $500 (in the form of a check, which he quickly cashed the same day). He took my money and did not provide the service. I never saw him again. He was supposed to start the job the next day, but he was a no-show and said it was due to a business problem. I gave him 2 more opportunities to get the job done, but again he was a no-show both times and did not call to cancel or reschedule. He stopped answering my phone calls and did not respond to text messages until I sent him a text message telling him to return my deposit. He quickly called me and agreed to do so. but true to his nature, he lied, and after that call, he again refused to answer any more of my phone calls and did not respond to my voicemail and text messages. He lied about returning my deposit when both my son and a representative from HomeAdvisor spoke with him. The bottom line, James is a very unreputable person that I have found to be dishonest and cannot be trusted. What a disgrace he is to his field. I have yet to be refunded my deposit (one month later)... and, of course, no communication from him. I do hope he responds to this review because I would like to know why he feels justified to steal $500 from a senior citizen. Leopards do not change their spots. BEWARE read more
