We started the relationship with our plumber who provided Family Floors as a recommendation when I mentioned that we needed to do a bathroom remodel. I called Family Floors and Chuck came out and talked to me and took a lot of measurements saying he would provide an estimate the next day. The work was for removal of the current tub and tub wall, installation of ceramic tile, new tub, and vinyl flooring. I didn't receive Chuck's estimate the next day, I got it via email that night! Wow! I got a follow-up copy of the estimate in the mail a couple days later. We hired Chuck and I went to their store to pick out the tile and flooring. I worked with Kelly and we managed to pick out a lot. I came back to the store after doing some thinking and to view some additional samples after trying out the ones Kelly and I picked in my bathroom. This time I met with Chuck and he was terrific too. He listened carefully to what I explained, the kind of look I was after, and he made some suggestions himself. We honestly had fun with it all. He and Kelly are both very personable, and you can tell they have years of experience doing this because they stay very professional as well. The job is complete now. And it is absolutely beautiful. To attempt to do a quick summary: Chuck was ALWAYS on time, did the job in the amount of time he told me he had scheduled, he worked steadily from the time he arrived at our house until he was done for the day, he was very, very neat and cleaned up very well at the end of each day. I don't think he realized I saw him, but on the first day, I was planting flowers next to our sidewalk and hadn't swept up all the dirt. The next day, he pulled out his brush and swept off that little corner so that he wouldn't track the dirt into the house during his trips in from his van. His prices are very good and there's no having to wheel and deal. He gives you a good price, the right price, from the get go, no games. I loved that too. Thank you Chuck and Kelly!!

Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. Had Mr. Steimer come out last summer and do estimate for leaking roof/top of fan had come off,…read moregutters terrible and wanted downspouts rerouted. Estimate seemed reasonable but had some unforeseen circumstances and never had the work done. This summer, knew work couldn't wait and luckily, I had kept his estimate. I called him and instead of being annoyed or rude about me not calling him back last year, he was more than kind and told me I should have called him and at least he could have put something over the fan until it could be replaced. I have to say, his sincerity and concern was refreshing! I am a single woman and have had so many BAD experiences with contractors, it isn't even funny. Mr. Steimer was out within 2 days to reassess the problems and honored the year old original estimate. And then had his workers come out the same day because he said he knew rain was coming. The gentlemen, and I mean gentlemen that came to do the work were kind and hardworking. They worked without much of a break in stifling heat until dark set in, cleaning up as they went and my gutters they had to clean were terrible! Also, they covered the fan before they left just in case it rained before they could return. It was a good thing because it rained all day the next day. The following day, they came out early to replace the fan and finish everything. The rerouted downspouts look great and here's the best thing... I had been up late the night before, and these guys worked quiet as church mice and never woke me while they were working or woke me to pay them! This is class! So as soon as I finish this review I will be calling them so I can compliment and pay them. I don't write a lot of reviews... My mom taught me, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all". Well, I have nothing but good things to say about Paul Steimer Roofing -and would highly recommend them!
