After calling, emailing and texting we received a response that the waters were too rough and they needed to cancel. While I appreciate the commitment to safety, we never received any notification of the cancellation. Perhaps they entered the phone number incorrectly... but attention to detail is necessary in business dealings. An email, phone call and/or text would have been appreciated. To date, we have not received a refund for over $500. My last two text messages to inquire about the refund have gone unanswered. We go to AMI often, and will not book with this group for any future trips.

Booking was super easy and the rental process was thoroughly explained. We invited two other couples to join us and found the pontoon boat that we chose to be spacious and comfortable for the six of us and one dog. We arrived around 8:45am to check in and carry our belongings down to the dock where everything was loaded into the boat for us which was nice. We were then given an explanation of the area map and a tour of the boat. We had an amazing day on the water where we saw several dolphins, found dozens of sand dollars, parked at some sandbars and caught a few fish. We arrived back at the dock at 5:00pm and unloaded our stuff onto the dock where it was loaded into a cart and wheeled to our vehicles for us which we really appreciated. The fine folks at Cortez Watersports were friendly and catered to us beyond our expectations. We would definitely visit them again and highly recommend that you consider them for your next on the water outing.

If youre coming from Anna Maria, it's the first left over the bridge, so be ready to turn. We rented a fishing pole and bought some shrimp from Annie's bait shop next door (didn't catch anything though). If you fish, I think you need a Florida fishing license, which non residents can get for $17 online and it's good for 3 days. Dale programmed dolphin and fishing and sandbar spots into the GPS. It was easy to find them and stop. The only reason I gave 4 stars is price. Currently, other companies say they will deliver for a full day rental for the same cost as 4 hours at H20.

Boat rental gone wrong: we cannot imagine what ppl new to boating would have done when faced with…read morethe multiple scary moments we had when renting from Island Jet Ski rental on Casey Key. We are frequent boaters and wanted to try renting a boat while visiting our Florida home. We were joined by friends who have also boated in the past. We were told to arrive no later than 8:40 am, (arrived @8:30) but had to wait around for the employee to show up around 9. Their website advertises $299/4 hours or $399/8 hours but when we checked in we were told it was $399 for 6 hours or $499 for 8 hours. We agreed to rent the boat & when we returned the cost issue would be resolved after employee spoke w/owner since he wasn't able to reach her. Employee quickly showed us where safety equipment was stored and we were off. The boat, however, was not mechanically sound: we discovered that the storage compartment area under the floor was flooding to the point that the water was leaking onto the deck. It looked like the hull could be leaking. Imagine our surprise when we saw that! We were worried the boat could sink! The fenders were literally floating in the storage area. Thank goodness we were able to use the bilge to pump all of that water out. We frequently checked on and pumped out the water several times. The boat ran very slow because there was so much algae growth on the bottom of the boat which,in turn, caused it to guzzle gas. We had to stop for gas twice on our return for fear of running out! No sure why they would rent a boat for 8 hours that runs the risk of running out of gas? The engine repeatedly cut out while we were traveling the Intracoastal Waterway. Not sure why I but that just added to the stress and anxiety one feels when they are facing the possibility of being "adrift" and having to get their boat towed. We called them to let them know why it was taking us so long to return and that we might be late, but had to leave a message. On our return we showed the employee the condition of the boat and shared our experience with him. He discovered that the "live well" wasn't draining properly and it was flooding the boat. After calling the owner, she agreed to reduce the price of our rental by $50 and reimburse us $50 for what we spent on gas. It didn't feel like adequate service recovery to me but we took what we could get. We will never return here and if you are smart, you will rent elsewhere.

His boat was clean and a center console ( just getting into the boating scene, so not sure what else to write about it?!) We had an absolute blast, so I got his card ( I wasn't the one who booked him) for future use... which was one month later. My son and his girlfriend were visiting from out of state, and had always wanted to jet ski. We easily booked on line and finalized location via text. Carlos was extremely accommodating :he met us down the road where there was a marina and was punctual (he early, we almost late). His 2 jet skis were beautiful, well maintained and ready to go. Full briefing on safety and usage ( 2 different kinds), and off we went! Tons of fun. No problems. Bottom line: I am sure there are plenty of other people to rent from, but Carlos made each outing more fun. A nice guy, and a veteran, which is exactly why you should go with Patriot!
