We were in need of a tree service company to remove some trees close to our home and some that were…read morediseased. We also needed some old stumps grinded and a bit of tree trimming. We contacted a number of companies in the area and four companies provided quotes for us. One of those companies was Sierra Pacific Tree Care. We have only the best things to say about this business. From the very beginning, the company was super responsive and came out in a timely manner to give us a quote. The office manager, Liz was an excellent communicator. She was patient and always was able to answer our questions or get back to us quickly with an answer. We were told by the owner, Mauro that some of the stumps may not be able to be grinded but he would do his best. On the day of work, Mauro showed up with six workers, heavy equipment and trucks with trailers. To our absolute delight, Mauro's fleet of men were super hard working, running up our hill at a quick quip to get the job done. Some of the men were high up in the trees cutting down branches and piece by piece logs. We must mention that there were power lines tethered to two of the trees needing to come down and the men were very careful and skilled so that the power lines remained intact. We also have to give kudos to Mauro. He is not one of those owners who sits back and watches the work being done. He got his hands dirty, literally by working the grinder and removing numerous stumps. It was an all day job and the crew broke for a 30 minute lunch before getting back at it. When all of the work was done, the crew cleaned up all of the debris, sawdust and logs. Their work ethic was truly admirable. We were very impressed with the work and will use them in the future. We highly recommend Sierra Pacific Tree Care for any tree job.

The first time they were here they took out a small group of 4 tall, skinny oaks that were on a small slope so our Internet will work. And two other dead trees next to our house. They took the trees down, cut them into 16" logs and were done by early afternoon. The second time we had a VERY large, VERY old oak with a hollow, twisted trunk that we discovered (late in the afternoon) had cracked and was in danger of falling onto a busy road. they came out the next day to assess and quote, and rescheduled a previous appointment of theirs, so they could take it down the next morning, since it was potentially dangerous. The tree came down, and was cut and stacked in under 3 hours. The whole end-to-end took less than 30 hours to complete, averting what could have been a very tragic event. I'm thankful for their quick response.

In august I walked to one of the workers to ask for a number to get ahold of someone to pick up this downed tree. For reference, I just spent $2200 for a landscaping company to clean up my yard for fire season on July 3. As they were cutting down another tree at a different neighbors yard, we approached the general Foreman, who had us sign a form to pick up the tree STAT. He apologized that it was not picked up sooner. He mentioned the grappler truck was sent to Tahoe but it will be back in two weeks. I watched as my neighbors trees taken down were quickly cleaned up within a matter of days. Two weeks passed and the debris and tree were never picked up. It is now September, last week I called the foreman's number and he was shocked to find out it still was not picked up because he says he put in a STAT order for fire hazard to have it picked up. He mentioned after talking to the grappler that they were in Camino and it would be picked up in a day or two( this was Wednesday September 4th). September 9th I called the number I was given and asked for a date for this fire hazard to be picked up. He was unable to give a date or time and said he has done everything he can. He apologized again and was shocked to hear it hadn't been handled yet. I have called TSU and left a voicemail around 8am, it's now 4pm and never received a call back. I am trying hard to work with this company but I don't know why I am being treated unfairly and left with a fire hazard in my front yard. Attached are photos of my front yard currently. Amazing and accurate work…read more All companies should be this good. Their equipment was all clean and in great shape. They arrived on time and were finished in just one day. I felt when they arrived I had chosen the right company. Chuck, James and crew took down our huge 40 year old, 85 foot tall pine tree in short order (just one day) all while avoiding the fragile garage roof, close knit fencing / gate, and avoided all the fruit trees, grape vines and vegetables planted right near it. This tree was a monster that shaded our garden and delivered tons of needles and pine cones that littered the yard and roofs. At the base, the pine tree trunk was 2.5 to 3 feet diameter. They had the job completed in less than four hours, including clean up. It was impressive to watch how organized and efficient they were. We particularly appreciated that any time there was the slightest question about what we needed done, they made sure to ask before proceeding another step. Many of the trees were located at the periphery of our inner yard area which is surrounded by wooden rail fencing and they took particular care to ensure no damage was done to the wooden rail, the flower beds or grass. After agreeing on the original estimate and start date, I contacted Kevin later to add a couple of trees which he did without hesitation for a bargain price. I don't know most of their names as there were probably ten or more working under Kevin's direction and all, to the man or woman, friendly, especially Daniel, who loves animals and even "hugged" our 2,000 lb pet Angus steer, Bosco.
