They falsely advertised an in store giveaway featuring scratch off stickers for the chance to win a variety of prizes including a 2 day festival ticket. They updated their Instagram channel a few times to update how many they had left but between all the friends and myself we'd update each other. When it came to nearly the bottom of the pile, they started recording each contestant in hope to get the winner recorded. Fast forward now and they have yet to update or posted a winner. After much discussion with other friends I decided to give a call and was met with a rude attitude and a lie that the winner won weeks ago. Mind you we were in there just a week and a half ago with scratchers still there. They said they had posted it to which I responded with we've been all been watching the story and saw nothing. I brought up how the "giveaway" drew in a lot of people willing to hopefully win something when in reality it was a waste of time and money which led me to ask if we could return stuff and was met with no returns or exchanges and sorry I felt that way. Big mean girls vibes and very disappointed any of us ever gave them a dime.

I'd been aware of this shop online for a long time and was excited to finally visit in person and…read moretry things on (especially since their online shop says no returns), and I ended up buying a pair of shorts. I absolutely did not expect what happened when I entered the store. Instead of a normal welcome, the owner, Cory, who I had never met and did not recognize, immediately started talking about my past. She said she remembered me from over ten years ago being out with an ex and asked what that former boyfriend did to me, all in front of her friend, without even introducing herself. That relationship was sexually, emotionally, and financially abusive, and being put on the spot to talk about it in front of strangers felt intrusive, humiliating, and misogynistic. For a business that markets itself as feminist and inclusive, pressuring a survivor to discuss domestic violence in a casual way upon entering the store did not feel trauma‑informed or supportive of women to me. On top of that, the in‑store selection did not feel worth it to me. As I went through the racks, the items looked like leftover pieces that didn't make it onto the online shop, and the prices for basics (like denim shorts) were closer to double what I usually pay for similar items at other vintage or thrift stores. For me, the combination of the pricing and how I was treated made the experience not worth repeating. Later, I recognized one of the shop's regular models, Sadie (their "resident redhead" model, as Cory calls her on social media), as the same person who approached me at my workplace after this store encounter. She came up to me in an intense, passive‑aggressive way and interjected while I was in the middle of helping a customer. We do not know each other and I did not recognize her. Having someone who represents the shop insert herself at my workspace like that felt intimidating and boundary‑crossing. Having my traumatic former relationship brought up by strangers while I was just trying to shop, and then being approached again later at my job by someone associated with the shop, has had a real psychological impact on me. The repeated boundary‑crossing and the sense that strangers were acting like they know me when I did not recognize them at all has been upsetting and destabilizing. This is not what I expect from a business that promotes a feminist brand image.
