Better off doing it yourself. Went in for an oil change came back with a busted oil cap and a disconnected sending unit.

Why were you working on the car yourself while at the shop?

My…read morehusband and I witness the Service Advisor Jim Lohr Jr, handle an irrational customer with professionalism and gave the customer many options to consider to get her oil change completed. She became very verbally abusive towards Mr. Lohr, but he responded better than most under that kind of situation. Her poor husband was embarrassed and we could tell he was uncomfortable with the situation but had no control of his wife's verbal "displeasure" and that this was not the first time she tried to intimidate others. Tidelands Ford has a keeper in Jim Lohr. He kept his head while being attacked. He did not allow her to be put in front of other customers that were already waiting in the waiting room in front of her. Well done Sir!

Went to see a vehicle on Sat that was listed online. Drove the whole lot at 11am looking for it…read more Didn't see it, parked then walked the whole lot without a single sales person coming out to help. Walked into the dealership, didn't see anyone until I got to the sales desk area. 3 sales people were talking amongst their selves. Again, no acknowledgement....saw the vehicle in the showroom. Walked around it twice looking at it throughly. Again no acknowledgement. I finally spoke up and asked if it was unlocked to look at. 5 min later a salesman came out from a diff side office to help. We went through the spiel and talked about financing. I saw they had a tracking device listed on the terms for 799.00. Sales person stated "they won't let us remove it". I asked what if I finance it myself? Same answer. Now why would I need Ford to charge me 800 bucks for a tracking device that I cant use and only Ford has access to?...after going back and forth about it. And the salesman not knowing how to ask his finance manager what we should do to make deal..the salesman stood up at his desk while I was still seated and trying to make a deal. He said, "well if you change your mind, lmk" as in he was trying to dismiss me from the dealership. For these reasons, I'll never buy or recommend this company to any other locals in the area!!! They're lucky I cant give a no star review!

I have not actually had my windows tinted yet , waiting on medical exemption( my previous one…read moreissued in another state does not work here) . This review is for the incredibly helpful and pleasant women working the day I went in. They explained SC tint laws with exemption to me ( totally different than other states I've lived in) the benefits of the tint they apply and the cost wasn't too bad. When it's time to get my windows done I will be back.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this one wrote itself. Buckle up…read more I went in to get my front windows tinted and a windshield strip. Right away, they tell me: "If you want the illegal tint, it's cash only and no warranty." Ah yes, nothing says "legit business" like whispering cash deals for shady tint jobs out of the back room. What's next, do I need a password and a trench coat too? Since I didn't have cash, I went "legal" with 35%. My mistake. Totally on me. But I also asked for the windshield strip down to the AS1 line. They said sure. Spoiler: they didn't. It stopped two inches short, like a bad haircut you can't unsee. When I called, I was met with the enthusiasm of someone being told they had to work a double shift. The owner gave me the classic "I just want you to be happy as a customer" speech -- which would have been touching if it wasn't delivered with enough attitude to power a reality TV show. I brought the truck back the next day. Sean, who was Mr. Nice Guy the day before, greeted me like I'd just insulted his mother. Then the owner jumped in, and it became clear: they weren't fixing a mistake, they were doing me a favor. She even let me know she wasn't charging me the $50 to take the tint off. Wow. How generous. Honestly, if being respectful costs $50, I would've happily paid the surcharge. By the time I picked up the truck, I was hit with another gem: "I looked at the AS1 line and it would have been too low and in your face." Thanks, but after tinting every car I've ever owned that way, I think I can handle the wild inconvenience of shade. So now I'm out $400+, and I still have to take my truck somewhere else to get it done correctly. Meaning I'll be spending $500+ for the privilege of having The Tint Shop not do the job right. Moral of the story? If you like attitude, secret cash deals, and paying twice to get the work done once, this place is for you. For me? Never again. Their best skill was disappearing my money faster than my tint warranty.
