The 1st visit culminated in nothing being done. I picked it up after 2 days and decided I would bring it back when maybe they had more help. They claim to have a special machine that can determine exactly what the issue is with the top. Haha. Okay 2nd visit 5 days crickets! I'm so frustrated that they say leave it 1 more day and we will get to it. This time they give me a loaner to drive. I get 25 mins away almost back to my home in murrells inlet and the fill in for the manager says your car is done. It cant be fixed. Top is a total loss. Replacement is $21,500. I pick up a car with the top kind of closed but not really. There is an alarm screaming, a warning light flashing, and the wind whistling through the back which is also not truly closed. They thought that was acceptable. I put the top up manually myself after watching a YouTube video on how to do it prior to ever bringing it in to be looked at so I knew it could be done. I expected them to give me my car back in at least drivable condition. I had to fight to get this corrected. My saving grace was an upper manger named Kristen who heard me and responded exactly opposite of the service manager and said yes we will put your car back in the same condition it was in when it arrived. Never will I return to this dealership.

My…read morehusband and I witness the Service Advisor Jim Lohr Jr, handle an irrational customer with professionalism and gave the customer many options to consider to get her oil change completed. She became very verbally abusive towards Mr. Lohr, but he responded better than most under that kind of situation. Her poor husband was embarrassed and we could tell he was uncomfortable with the situation but had no control of his wife's verbal "displeasure" and that this was not the first time she tried to intimidate others. Tidelands Ford has a keeper in Jim Lohr. He kept his head while being attacked. He did not allow her to be put in front of other customers that were already waiting in the waiting room in front of her. Well done Sir!

Instead they charged me over $200 for a redundant diagnostic test that had already been performed. I owned a business for 30 years And I learned very early to put the customer before the buck, but I was treated only as a transaction. so beware!

I WAS PAYING 3 MONTHS FOR 2 CARS. It took SEVERAL (and I emphasis several) Phone calls, emails to get this fixed. I paid for DMV registration upon purchasing the vehicle, which they also failed to register, causing me to pay again at DMV. Waited months for this to be adjusted and payment refunded ($700). They mailed the check to the wrong address, after I have an email chain which CLEARLY states the mailing address. JoAnne, in Accounting, is HORRIFIC, NASTY human being, she shouldn't be allowed to interact with the public in any manner. They lost the Title to the jeep we traded in and requested (demanded) we get another one or they were suing us. IT'S A MASSIVE SHIT SHOW!

Right away, they tell me: "If you want the illegal tint, it's cash only and no warranty." Ah yes, nothing says "legit business" like whispering cash deals for shady tint jobs out of the back room. What's next, do I need a password and a trench coat too? Since I didn't have cash, I went "legal" with 35%. My mistake. Totally on me. But I also asked for the windshield strip down to the AS1 line. They said sure. Spoiler: they didn't. It stopped two inches short, like a bad haircut you can't unsee. When I called, I was met with the enthusiasm of someone being told they had to work a double shift. The owner gave me the classic "I just want you to be happy as a customer" speech -- which would have been touching if it wasn't delivered with enough attitude to power a reality TV show. I brought the truck back the next day. Sean, who was Mr. Nice Guy the day before, greeted me like I'd just insulted his mother. Then the owner jumped in, and it became clear: they weren't fixing a mistake, they were doing me a favor. She even let me know she wasn't charging me the $50 to take the tint off. Wow. How generous. Honestly, if being respectful costs $50, I would've happily paid the surcharge. By the time I picked up the truck, I was hit with another gem: "I looked at the AS1 line and it would have been too low and in your face." Thanks, but after tinting every car I've ever owned that way, I think I can handle the wild inconvenience of shade. So now I'm out $400+, and I still have to take my truck somewhere else to get it done correctly. Meaning I'll be spending $500+ for the privilege of having The Tint Shop not do the job right. Moral of the story? If you like attitude, secret cash deals, and paying twice to get the work done once, this place is for you. For me? Never again. A quick review showed good used cars but we were looking for something a little more reasonably priced. That was not present here at the time that we came by although we had a good salesman Steven (from the main dealership) who was showing us through and showing us around. The car that we had come to look at was one that they had just been sent to auction. I would think that the better cars would be left at the used car lot and not sent to auction, so maybe it was a good thing as it turned out. Kudos to Steven, not so much on the lack of updates on their website.
