    6. Sushi and Sashimi Combo
    Erica R.

Definitely worth your time! JP's Hoise is conveniently located in a shopping center near Harris Teeter. They have plenty of seating options but I opted for takeout. Ordering was super easy and so was pickup. The staff were all very friendly and it was super easy to just walk in the door and walk right out with the food. No wait at all! The food was really great. I did the sushi and sashimi sampler. I traded the regular tuna in for a spicy tuna roll and it was super tasty. The salad was a little sad and the miso was just fine but the sushi was fresh and on point. I definitely recommend this place for great sushi takeout.

I wanted some Asian food and wanted to try something different. We decided on JPs and ordered pickup. The order was done quickly though the pickup process seemed off. We arrived and went in and were greeted at the hostess stand. The hostess/waitress came to me and I told her that I had a pickup order. She walked to a table in the small dining area to the right of the door, looked at the name on the bag and confirmed it was mine. Then, she went and sat down to continue wrapping utensils or something. I had to go to the table to get my food. When I walked in there was a man sitting at the table with her and he thanked me. I just found it to be poor customer service from the hostess. Maybe that's their process? Anyhoo, the food: We got the mango chicken with steamed rice, chicken fried rice, beef yaki soba, California roll, and steamed edamame. Everything was hot and fresh, and mid. The California roll was poorly constructed as you can see it from the pics. I'd eat here again, maybe eating in to see if that changes the overall experience. Not sure it would raise the level of the food, but who knows...sometimes eating in makes a difference.

Ordered this through DoorDash while visiting my parents. I ordered the volcano roll, cheese wontons, chicken yaki soba, salmon hibachi and a few other things. Everything was really good! The restaurant packaged the food so well and thoughtfully. The food was delicious! My favorite thing was the volcano roll it was super flavor packed and fresh. The yaki soba was also delicious. We had never tried this place before so we were very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely order from them again and would like to dine in their restaurant too.

Ate here for the first time tonight and it was pretty good. The sushi was amazing, the kani salad was great, the hibachi wasn't great and the vegetables with the hibachi weren't very good. I think they should change the way they cook the hibachi because it has a weird taste but everything else was great!

Paid $17.50 -total length of Naturo Maki roll 3 1/2 inches. Personally, for that much money I expect a roll over twice that size and not stuffed with imitation crab meat. It did not taste good. I bought two other sweetheart Rolls at $17.25 each. It was also almost 3 1/2 inches long. Unfortunately, I could smell the fish so I couldn't eat it. Total bill almost $50. And when you think about it $50 for appetizer size rolls is pretty disgusting. I left this restaurant feeling ripped off. I will never come back. I just want to put out there the facts so that you can make up your own decisions when choosing a decent sushi place.

Was on a search for Japanese food on the way home during a road trip and ended up at JP's House after a quick Yelp search. The parking lot was empty and so was the restaurant when we entered but that didn't stop us. My friend and I both ordered the Hibachi Chicken because it came with fried rice and not the plain white rice, soup and salad. The dishes looked identical and had great flavor. The salad had ginger dressing and was very refreshing. The soup was a warm broth that had mushrooms in it. I could eat that soup broth everyday. The chicken was tender, the veggies were crisp and the fried rice mixes well with the shrimp sauce and sriracha. We really enjoyed our meal. The service was great. We even left with a 2020 calendar as a gift. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely go back again. JP's House 3320 Robinwood Rd Ste 150 Gastonia, NC 28054 Sunday December 1, 2019 9pm

The miso soup is delicious and they are skimpy with the ginger dressing!!

Food is amazing here! Right now they are using all disposable items which is great considering the times we are in.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants! Only a 15 minute drive from my house! Service is always great here! And the food is amazing as always!

Meh. Wanted something better but quality was poor. Maybe the food in person would be better but take out was lacking.

When we arrived, they were not busy and their customer service seemed to be lacking. We were sat down quickly and given menus but the waitress didn't come back to get our order for about 10 minutes. They do have several types of Pho soups, which I really enjoy. My son ordered a Pad Thai. When his arrived it didn't have typical Pad Thai noodles which was a mistake. We brought this to their attention thinking the dish would be remade but it wasn't offered. I had an order of their summer rolls which was good and I also ordered Pho Kay Kho, beef combination which was a spicy Pho. Both meals and the appetizer or plated and presented well. How Pho I had overall was good and I even added extra spice to the soup. Overall, both meals were good, but it didn't really live up to the rave reviews that I had read. The server could have checked on us a couple more times and refreshed our drinks. The interior appeared to be rundown, just a little, but not enough to make me go somewhere else. If I am ever in this area and would like Asian/Thai food, I would probably stop again. I would prefer another couple of my favorite restaurants that serve Pho over Bep-pa's. You'll see the photograph the presentation was nice. The food was good however, there were some customer service issues along with the interior portion of the restaurant could be cleaned up just a little bit more. I would recommend, however there is nothing over the top about Bep-pa's.

My wife and I had each visited Japanese steakhouses like this before we met, but somehow neither of us had been to one during our 18 years together. Then we discovered Noboru! We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned just two weeks later. It isn't overly fancy--it offers the classic Benihana-style experience, with the chef preparing everything directly in front of you--but the food is tender, flavorful, and filling. Of course, you also get dinner and a show! The service was spot-on during both visits. We were always well taken care of, and everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the larger filet dinner both times and didn't change a thing. When something is that good, why mess with it? My wife ordered the steak and shrimp during our first visit, but she enjoyed my filet so much that she upgraded to the filet and shrimp on our return. Quality cuts of meat, skillful preparation, excellent seasoning, friendly service, and an entertaining experience have made Noboru a new favorite in our restaurant rotation. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits, had no complaints whatsoever, and will absolutely be back very soon. To those about to nosh, we are jealous!
