I really wanted to give this more stars because the service was decent and the food was ready very quickly. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The chicken tasted like it was rapidly thawed and it was very dry. The rice had a few peas and I found a kernel of corn but other than that it was just white rice. The restaurant itself is dingy so I don't think I would want to eat inside. I did really appreciate the amount of shrimp sauce they gave me. It did not taste like traditional yum yum sauce but was in a large cup which made up for the lack of flavor. All together it's the only hibachi spot in the area so it will do. read more

The Belmont location is newer and also very good but also a little more expensive than Mt Holly so I'm not complaining about saving some money by eating at an older place. This restaurant flat out gets the job done. The inside could use some updates and work but the food is always really good. The zucchini and vegetables are fantastic. The noodles are really good as well. My favorite meal is the hibachi steak low carb plate. The white rice is another favorite of mine. And the shrimp sauce is really good too. My only complaint when it comes to the food is that the shrimp are not butterflied. If they would do that then I would order the shrimp every time. Long story short. We love this place. Eat here probably 3 times a month. I honestly like this Sake better than the Sake in Belmont which is newer. The food is better at the location in Mount Holly. I usually go to the location in Belmont however this one is half the time from my home so I tried it one night. I called in for my order before hand per usual and it was ready within 10 mins. They DO NOT have sushi so that was a little disappointing however their spring rolls are MUCH BETTER and BIGGER than any location I have visited. I ordered food yesterday and the guy took my order then there was dead silence on the phone. I asked is there anything else you need from me. He seemed clueless and said " When do you want your food?" Dumb question. I said right now. He seemed dumbfounded. Then he asked " How far away are you?" I said pulling up. The guy taking my order stared at me for 30 seconds without saying a word, no hello, no can I take your order. I finally told him what I wanted, he swiped my card and rudely told me to pull forward. When he brought my order out he stood and stared at me again for an uncomfortably long period (I'm assuming he was waiting for a tip), but because of his shitty customer service I just pulled away. What a little gem. It sure doesn't look like much, but man, the food. I got the jumbo shrimp and broccoli. My friend got the chicken and scallops. The jumbo shrimp was really jumbo. The scallops are sea scallops. Big and tender. The chicken was moist. All of it was cooked to perfection. This is just a little place with limited seating. My wife and I went there today. Will never go back because of rudeness by the guy that took my order. He just kind of looks at you when come the counter. What made us mad was when he laughed at us for asking for utensils. Then my wife asked for a knife. She was told they didn't have knives. Amazing restaurant! Must try the sweet carrorts, nothing in this world beats their sweet goodness! Chicken and steak are both delicious, mushrooms and veggies are great!
