We had an outstanding experience with Paint Doctor, the company painted my entire home interior, and did some wood trim/moulding that came out beautiful. Color suggestions and paint types aligned to my thoughts and came out stunning. I received multiple quotes and interviewed multiple companies. I was very at ease about the company from the start when Rich answered call, and Noelle and Chris managed the projects. Team doing the paint and the crown molding and trim were on point with leads that truly cared. We had a small area needing attention after wrap up, and they addressed it like the professionals they are, their name is their brand and it is true. They were able to get us on their schedule before we went on vacation, which we appreciated. Rich came over the morning the painting was to begin and we discussed everything that was to happen. Everything went so well with their crew that came in to paint. They were so friendly and flexible. They did an absolutely amazing job. We LOVE the transformation. Rich had stopped by again and I asked if they install cabinet pulls. He responded yes, and was able to also install the cabinet pulls before finishing the paint job. Everyone was so very friendly and responsive to all our questions. We truly appreciate the friendly professionalism Rich. Noelle and their crew extended to us. We HIGHLY recommend Paint Doctor. I knew my vision, but couldn't find the right color samples, until Anthony suggested a few color combinations- from his sample books - & the completed job looks gorgeous! In comes Diaz painting. I needed to patch a small hole and some damaged floor trim as well as the usual hole patching from hanged paintings and a TV mount. Maria come to visit the apartment in record time, asked me a few questions, made sure she understood the scope of the work and took all her notes. I got a quote the next day and when the team came to complete the repairs they were polite, quick, and obviously knew what they were doing. When I got a quote back and of course I tried to negotiate it, but they were firm on the price which is perfectly fine. I message them back a week later to do the job done. Her responding message was telling me that the quote wasn't actually on what we discussed and said that if I wanted to have what we discussed, I would have to pay more money, because "it did not include. Both sides of the door, and the priming was only on small spots where they would spackle not the entire wall like we had discussed. They also stated that they "needed clarification on why I was OK with the price now." as if that was any of their business. When I called them to ask why they needed clarification on price I gave it to them. While I was giving it to them, she kept cutting me off and trying to justify her price increases and would not let me speak. She then spent the next 20-30 minutes trying to justify why she was trying to jack up my price. The lady was extremely rude. Cut me off every time I tried speaking. This is a classic bait and switch, and I would never use this company just because of that. If I had just agreed to the original price without trying to get a lower one, I never would've found that I wasn't getting the entire job done. I would've only gotten half the job done and would've been out $1000. I would then be forced to either pay them more money to finish the job since they already started or have another company come and redo it. Never deal with a company who uses bait and switch and changes their offer after the fact, and tries to lie. Especially with contracting work, because you will be up creek without a paddle.
