Given the backyard restrictions, having too many trees and living in the city with the most restricted regulations, multiple pool contractors told us that it was impossible to have a pool in our backyard. I saw YSP on Yelp with very good ratings, I decided to consult with them. They immediately work on the engineering plan to secure city permit. It took two months to be approved. After that, they went ahead and immediately started the project. I told them my budget and they worked with me to stay within that amount. Now, we finally have our dream backyard oasis. It is what I have envisioned and it really turned out beautifully. Brian was on top of everything and his workers are all very kind and hard workers . Details: I wanted to upgrade my system with all the latest automation and lighting. Also, I had a malfunctioning salt cell that my weekly pool tech could not figure out. I contacted Brian via the website and received a quick text that same day to setup a meeting. He quickly got the salt cell replacement going under warranty (no cost to me!) and spec'd out an automation setup. That night, received the quote with a timeline to get the parts/ installation. Price was right. Brian got everything installed and running very quickly (and on time) and was super communicative / timely throughout the process. I also liked that he was able to set a time for a meeting, not a half day time window like so many do (and fail to meet). He was upfront on what would be expected of me and what he would do weekly/yearly. I had no idea what a pool needed. He explained that the pump needs to be run at least 6 hours a day to circulate the water. He would come weekly to test the water, clean the pool and check the small filter (and probably other things I forgot about). Yearly, he puts conditioner in (he explained what it does but I can't remember). A couple months ago, my pool started to turn slightly green. He put some other chemicals in to help it. But it didn't work. So he checked my big filter and told me it needed a cleaning . He and another guy came that weekend and cleaned it. After he was done, he texted and explained everything he did to the filter and pool and what I needed to do to make sure the water clears up. By the next day, the pool started to clear up. Within a couple days, it was back to normal. He's very responsive and helpful. He comes when I'm at work so I usually text him if I need anything or have questions.
