I used this company for more than two years and when Johnny used to be the one servicing my pool, everything was great. However, in the last year of using his service, another employee started to service my pool and did less than adequate. He would come in and be here for only 2-3 minutes to test the water, dump only chlorine in, skim only large leaves, and then leave. He would claim to have skimmed and netted the entire pool, brushed the walls, etc every week but never brought a brush into my yard and never stayed long enough to do anything more. When we installed cameras alongside our house; we truly realized just how little he did. The pool would always look untouched after, and then my husband would have to skim the pool that same day to clear it up, as there would always be some bees still in there, tiny leaves, etc. things we have no trouble skimming up. I've complained a few times to Johnny but nothing really changed. I continued to use him regardless, hoping things would improve. In April, right after the employee quit, there was a leak in my pump and either I do a seal repair or replace the old pump. Johnny recommended a pump replacement so I looked into it. He quoted me for an aquastar PLP150S, said it would cost $2800 total for parts and installation. When I looked up the pump, I noticed it was only $1300 for the pump online. I went with Leslie's pool supplies since they charged me a total of $1800, including parts, labor, tax. It took less than an hour for that technician to install the pump. I told Johnny I would have someone else come out to do the pump since I had found a much better price. Within a 2 days of notifying him, he called me and dropped me as a client, said he lost a lot of clients in our city and it would be too much of a hassle to come out going forward. I have to wonder if the excessive overcharge in labor costs was so he can justify continuing to come here or if he was trying to gouge me before dropping me. Overall, my experiences have been mediocre at best. read more

My pool at one point became so overgrown with algae, I had to empty it and start over (VERY costly). When this same chemical imbalance happened a SECOND time, I knew I had to find someone else to service my property. I figured since the algae had gotten so bad again, I would go ahead and have my pool resurfaced and retiled (it was sorely needed).
