He was able to come out the next day. Inspected my springs and said it would be cheaper, because I was quoted for a different type of spring and my garage doors are older type springs. I am a senior. My garage door would not open on a Friday afternoon. I called and was told they were very busy but Jeff would stop by late afternoon to look at my problem. He arrived as promised and advised I needed a new opener. My very old opener would open the door at random (left open all night) or refuse to open it. Despite his much too busy schedule he came early Saturday morning to install a fine, new garage door opener. The price for this after hours service was most fair.... cheaper than another quote I received for weekday service. I am delighted to find a company that does not cheat senior citizens. read more

Shout out to Stephanie who not only provided the quote and timeframe within less than 15 minutes of the request (submitted mid-afternoon on a Thursday). Repair was done by noon the next day. Jeff and team did the work smoothly and were prompt in both the pre-repair call in and got everything done within the scheduled time window. Their response was almost immediate and subsequent correspondence to provide a cost estimate and schedule the appointment was absolutely spot on. They were able to come out first thing the next morning (unlike all of the others I contacted). They called to notify me they were on their way (like they said they would) showed up on time, were very courteous and professional. I cannot recommend Jeff enough. I called to get a quote for my garage door that had been broken for some time. I didn't trust the company who had been servicing the door because it kept breaking and they wanted to charge me $100 just to look at it so I shopped around and called Jeff based off other Yelp reviews. Best decision ever. He was with another customer so I left a message and he called me back right away. Not only could he come out same day, he does free estimates. He gave me a heads up when he was on the way and it took him about 15 seconds to figure out what was wrong with the door. Surprise surprise it was not at all what the other company said was wrong, turns out it was a much simpler fix. He fixed it, did routine maintenance free of charge and explained to me what was wrong and how he fixed it. His rates are surprisingly fair too. Just all around great service, and that can be sometimes hard to find. I have found our new garage repair company and if you are looking for someone trustworthy, fair, and skilled, go with Jeff! read more

J's Overhead Doors is amazing! Not only are they very knowledgeable and professional, they're friendly and want to make sure you are 100% satisfied and happy with their work! We had an issue with our garage door and they came by that day and fixed it up, and got it squared away before nightfall which made our lives a lot easier. What a superb family-owned business!!! With a damaged garage door that wouldn't close, Stephanie answered my call on a Sunday evening! Jeff came on the phone and, despite having several appointments the following day, agreed to come to Florence early the next day. He called early the next morning, as promised, and then came quickly, made the necessary repairs and lubricated the moving parts. After my garage door wouldn't open, I inspected the mechanics and noticed a spring had broken while I was away from the home. A quick look online and I realized I wasn't able to do the repairs myself so I put out a yelp inquiry to a few businesses to see their availability and price. I submitted the inquiry around 11:20pm and J's Overhead Doors responded at 7:30am the next morning - good response time in my books considering it was late at night when I submitted the inquiry. J's kindly sent me a price estimate, some beneficial advice, and told me they also told me they provide a free tune-up service with every spring job. They had some availability very soon so I booked the service. J's was ahead of schedule and called me saying they could be at my place early. I was able to accommodate that so I agreed. J's came by, replaced 2 springs and provided a tune-up for a very reasonable price. J's was at my house for less than an hour and offered to help me program any of my remotes before they left. J's gave me advice on my garage door opener and never once did I feel like they tried to up-sale on anything. I highly recommend J's and will use them again. read more
