I was frustrated since I had already emailed regarding non-payment without hearing back, she hung the phone up after stating it was not her job to be a secretary. I was so thrown off by this so I decided instead to reach out to company who hired me through Carlyn Davis, they told me they hadn't sent a check to the studio and that the studio hadn't reached out to them either for the last two months. When I finally got in touch with Carlyn she explained how unprofessional it was of me to talk to the client directly-- no apology from her regarding the lack of communication or non-payment for the last three months or for the behavior of her staff. After going back and forth with her on the total she owed me, she included me on an email thread meant for a colleague stating how much I was "pain in the a**" for trying to get paid!
