I highly recommend you do not conduct business with this gentleman. As other reviewers have previously written, he is a one man "company" who runs the business out of his Doylestown home, has no real employees, hires lowest bid subcontractors to renovate your pool, has changed his company name numerous times, and according to several other pool renovation companies I have reached out to fix this mess maintains an extremely poor reputation in the industry. We paid him an initial deposit in June 2021. Months passed with nothing happening. Out of the blue, he then proceeded to demolish our family's pool last fall with two young men showing up unannounced at our home without the required township permits. The work was rushed, sloppy, and shoddy. Our automatic pool cover track was removed and bent in the process. The mortar was not properly and completely removed so more demolition and prep work will still need to be done to prepare the pool for its next phase of renovation. Gallons of saltwater were dumped onto our grass, plants, and trees. Our pool was left filled with debris. In addition, the sloppy demolition may have damaged the plumbing which will now need to be pressure tested. Bob Whitaker had no supplies when he demolished our pool. He failed to reserve and secure our necessary materials. He gave my husband the run-around via text messages for nine months. And has left our family with our four year old son pool-less for the upcoming summer season. He refuses to answer calls or return my husband's deposit. Even though, his incomplete and sloppy demolition has provided no savings or value now that we need to hire another contractor to renovate our pool. I hope my warning can prevent someone else from making the same mistake our family made retaining Aqua Renovations' services saving unnecessary stress, unpleasantness, inconvenience, frustration, and the wasting of hard earned money.

My in-laws recommended GSI to me after I had a couple of other better known pool companies out for…read moreestimates, who gave me conflicting information, and had poor follow up. Other companies told me that the existing style of coping I had could not be replicated and would need to be replaced with something they stocked. WRONG! First, I was working with a time crunch due to it being an insurance claim and GSI came out quickly. Second, it was able to schedule my job before the onset of winter. In addition, it was able to replicate the existing style of coping (or give me other options). The price was fantastic. My point-of-contact, Steve, was very responsive (and patient, because we know NOTHING about taking care of our own pool, so he had to spoon feed us what we needed to do to the water, run the filter, etc. after the installation!) What a gem. And, of note: they have separate crews that perform each stage of the pool installation, so each crew is fast and expert in its stage of the process. One crew does the coping, another the tiling, another the plaster, another the caulking. Another note - a they make good on any glitches right away. Because of the cold our caulking didn't set up right away and we had some leaves, dogs, had pool-vacuuming-husband step on it. Steve sent his guys out again to patch/re-caulk the messed up areas. Also, ask them about other services that they may not directly do - they are in the industry, and happy to help. We "lost" our pool guy, and Steve gave us the name of a pool guy to fix our filter that we love, and GSI was able to order us a custom safety cover at a good price.

Unfortunately, the issues didn't end when the work was completed. Now, just a few years later, the plaster looks terrible. We've had two independent pool companies inspect it this year, and both commented on the poor quality of the workmanship. They were genuinely surprised by how badly the plaster was done. We've repeatedly contacted Blue Haven to ask for help resolving the issue, but they have consistently refused to stand behind their work or offer any meaningful assistance. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Blue Haven. If you're considering having your pool resurfaced or renovated, I strongly encourage you to do your research and consider other companies.

Their recommended equipment, Hayward, is crap. even the pool vac had to be replaced. Even the fence company they brought in was awful. all the posts at the gates are split and falling apart. 7 years! we use Frogs renovations now and they're great. Quality Pool Care is very good so use them for maintenance but don't go near Blue Haven by Calvitti.
