I have gone to a few classes at JTW Fit at their new location. I think they are are great. The two partners are Jah and Thomas and they are very friendly. The classes are challenging but they are correcting form which is great. I have been to strength and conditioning and gainz. They were both great. Gainz is more focused on lifting while strength and condition had more circuit training including some cardio. The studio itself is new and they provide water. The prices are $25 per class but it is also on classpass. They also do personal training although I have not done this with them. This is a great place to train and is highly encouraging for you to get fit whatever place you are in today. read more

Went for the first time last night to their boxing class via class pass and so didn't know what to expect. The class ended up being great and was good mix of shadow box drills, heavy bags and mitt work and the time went by really quickly. Thomas, our instructor, was super upbeat and positive and encouraged people the entire time. They also had free bottles of water! (Although I think it may just be a grand opening promotion so not sure for how much longer!) Overall would go back! read more

This boutique gym right in the heart of Harlem is great way to add some sauce to your boring and drab workout routine. After every class, I leave feeling accomplished because I put in WORK for the entire hour. They don't play around with your time and you'll definitely get results if YOU show up. I was looking for an affordable trainer in Harlem for months and couldn't find anyone that fit my schedule or budget. After posting on IG, a few friends in the neighborhood recommended Harlem Hiit. At first I was intimated being so out of shape but I sent Jah ( one of the partners) a message, and I'm so happy I did. He and the team are super knowledgeable and great at motivating you. They focus on strength and conditioning, Hiit Training, boxing, total body workouts, and personal training. I started with personal training with Jah and eventually increased my workouts to add group fitness. I went from never working out to working out four times per week at Harlem Hiit. I highly recommend this gym. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

I've been working out with Jah and JTW Fit for two years now. When I began in Sept 2017 I was at the heaviest I'd ever been. In less than a year I lost over 20lbs. Jah's classes were challenging, but fun. He's extremely friendly approachable and he wants to make sure that women, in particular, feel comfortable lifting and doing hard things. I'd never seriously lifted before or known the correct form for certain workout moves but that has all changed. This is easily the most comprehensive fitness studio in Harlem to date. JTW basically provides every fitness discipline you would want (strength training, HIIT, boxing, weight loss conditioning, etc.). I've been working out with Thomas for nearly three years now, and I don't trust anyone else more than Thomas + Jah when it comes to exercise. I moved out of Harlem to Murray Hill, and still make the trek to support JTW Fit. Their workouts are extremely well thought out, will definitely make you WORK, but you'll feel way better walking out than you did on your way in. A little bit sore, but with a whole new community of friends too. This is the place I've been waiting for to help me get hooked on fitness! The classes are challenging and entertaining at the same time. The instructor is great and he encourages you to move out of your comfort zone, while at the same time making sure you have the correct form so you do not get hurt. Somehow they are able to fill the classes with an eclectic bunch of great people that support and encourage one another. The vibe is incredible, not to mention you cannot be the prices ! Attended my first group fitness at 6AM! What a great way to start my day. Thomas was able to work with the entire group while catering to individual needs. He was able to provide modified exercises due to my shoulder injury which is a plus. If you're looking for a great all around workout this place offers a variety of classes. I've been training (through participating in classes) with the co-owner Thomas for about a year and have gained amazing results. Before training with him, I never had any knowledge on proper weight lifting techniques or even what to do in a gym. I was a total beginner so don't be afraid to try a class even if you've never worked out in your life lol, he will teach you everything you need to know to get through the class. The classes are fun, energetic and challenging. The environment is friendly and open. You always get a sense of family in this studio. Thomas puts an emphasis on form over anything else which is something that I truly appreciate because not only are you maximizing your gains from your workout but you're avoiding chances of an injury. Thomas encourages you to surpass your limits and always lets you know when you can and are ready to lift more. Gainz and Gainz 2.0 are my favorite classes that JTW Fit offers. If I could give JTW Fit 10 stars, I would. The classes are intense and the instructors strike the right balance between being tough trainers, while being supportive and inspiring coaches. They truly motivate each member to dig deep to find their power and inner athlete. Great workout and space. Not cramped like some other studios I've been to. All the classes I've taken so far have been fun but challenging.

This is the first fitness studio I've attended in NYC that really values my time, money and effort! I also love that it's in Harlem - a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I've been taking classes with Jah at JTWFIT for several months now and it's been nothing but positive. I generally enjoy circuit workouts and at JTWFIT I've really learned proper technique and been motivated to push harder. The best part of the studio is the community.
