The classes are challenging but they are correcting form which is great. I have been to strength and conditioning and gainz. They were both great. Gainz is more focused on lifting while strength and condition had more circuit training including some cardio. The studio itself is new and they provide water. The prices are $25 per class but it is also on classpass. They also do personal training although I have not done this with them. This is a great place to train and is highly encouraging for you to get fit whatever place you are in today.

Classes are without barbells, abmats, ropes, rings, and for the most part, boxes for box-jumps. There are pullup bars and barbells. 2. The workout is 30 mins, not a full 55 mins or 60 mins. This means, basically, that there is no warmup, and no strengthening phase. If you are part of the over-40 set, this might be a deal-breaker, since it spells pain the next day and cumulative pain if you have joint issues. There are good points: - Coaches pay attention and will help you get it right. Kudos to coaches. - Workouts (which are mostly body-weight workouts) have a good flow, and are just fine, if you don't care about the warmup or building strength on a bar. - Nice group spirit among participants. There are bad points: - Gym is quite dirty. The ritual of spraying windex where you sweated is a little absurd; somebody needs to come in and mop the chunks of dirt up -- at the end of the day, at the very least. - No locker room; you had better live nearby. - Gym is cramped, dark, with a low ceiling. Saturday morning classes are packed too tight. - No a/c in the warm weather -- maybe not even fans, sometimes. In sum, I found that the gym wasn't delivering enought for $199/mo. I was offered a week of free classes for myself and a friend and decided to take him up on his offer. I decided to take the Wednesday morning, 6:30 am, class on 10/12/16. I reserved my spot by sending him a text message the day before. He confirmed my reservation and even invited me to a class he was instructing that evening. I received a text from Mr. Link at 5:30 am on 10/12/16 confirming the class and location. He also told me to call him if I got lost, the class was being held in the gymnasium at Riverbank State Park. I arrived at the park at 6:00 am and I called Mr. Link because I was lost, he did not answer his phone and I left him a voice message. I waited for about ten minutes and after not getting a phone call or text, decided to try to find the building myself. I came across a park employee who showed me where the building was. I got to the gymnasium at around 6:15 am, it was locked. I looked to see if anyone else was waiting, I was going to ask if they were waiting for the Link Fitness class but the only other people around were jogging on the track. I sat around for another ten minutes, other people had tried to get into the building after me but it was still locked. I called Mr. Link again at 6:28 am, no answer. I immediately sent him a text and told him I was waiting outside and the building was locked. NO RESPONSE. I waited for another ten minutes and went home. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume something terrible happened to explain the lack of response to my calls and text, as well as not showing up. I received a text message from him at 8:20 am apologizing and saying that he had a training and forgot his phone. He then said that someone by the name of Angela was instructing the class and was inside the building. I became upset after getting that message. First, I would have expected a phone call. Second, what personal trainer doesn't carry his/her phone on their person at all times? Third, if someone else was instructing the class why wasn't I given their number or vice versa? Fourth, saying this person was inside was not true, I was there waiting for over 20 minutes and the building was locked. I can't stand having my time wasted, and I hate unprofessionalism. I really wanted to support this business because the pictures and video that I had seen looked excellent and I wanted them to be part of my fitness repertoire. Unfortunately the actions of Mr. Link have left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Liam came highly recommended. He customizes our sessions to reach my goals, and modifies them as my goals change. Liam knows my medical conditions, which he works with, and weak areas, which he helps me to strengthen. He suggests exercises I feel comfortable doing on my own in the gym, or at home. Liam can point out details of how a position or motion should feel, so I know when I'm doing it correctly. I have the attention span of a flea, yet he designs routines that are challenging and entertaining. He checks in often during a session, yet he can somehow inspire one or two more reps out of me than I believe possible. Befitnyc has a variety of classes which I've just begun to check out, from barre-pilates and tai chi to cross- and interval-training to zumba, all included in the very reasonable cost of membership. i joined because it's close to my apartment. on my very…read morefirst day i was discriminated against by another gym member due to a disability and having a service animal. upon signing up, i was told this would happily be accommodated. this gym allows other gym members to harass people with service animals and they did nothing to fix the situation. they just kept telling me to exile myself in another room instead of use the machine i wanted to use. they allow toxic white male members to boss around female members who aren't even doing anything wrong. i will be filing a lawsuit for disability discrimination and will not be coming back here. this was a traumatic experience that i never hope to go through ever again.

She provides excellent support and motivation while keeping the workouts upbeat and tailor made to my individual needs. She is really flexible offering group workouts and personal training. I also love that she mixes up the workouts each week often finding an outdoor space to work out when weather permits. He is an outstanding professional who goes to great lengths to achieve goals. I was in NYC for short of a bit and he met me one on one for a fun diverse workout that included careful stretch and injury prevention. I could tell he ate and slept his routines. Mark really made the work-out experience beyond. I am in my 50's and have been lifting for years but now its important to secure me from injury and Mark really targeted prevention. I wish I had trained with him for my 2 week backpack Inca trail. 1. He stays focused. Its all about you and details. 2. Prepared and has details on all the workout which fascinated me. 3. Makes active and functional changes combined with stretch 4. Implements dietary and body mind methods I found very inspiring. 5. He is patient. I am a bit demanding and he really was an ambassador. Oh. Ladies, he is really handsome and like I said, walks the talk. Above all, I had one of the best training sessions. Sort of makes me want to move! But oh well, I live in San Diego!
