I was always amazed at how poorly those offices were. From front desk, to the Technicians and Dentist I couldn't seem to find an office that I felt comfortable with and that could actually do the work proficiently! THEN BY GOOD FORTUNE I CAME TO ATLANTIC FLORIDA DENTAL AND DR. LAPIN IN DANIA BEACH. From the moment I walked in I felt a calm and relaxed atmosphere. From Lisa at the front desk, who is special, to the Technicians and other dentists everything felt right! I can't explain it! But, after seeing Dr Lapin and going over my immediate needs that had to be addressed I never felt pressured or rushed into doing anything. Dr Lapin took the time to explain everything to me so I could feel like I was making a good informed decision instead of being forced into one. Because I'm on certain medications and potentially having to go on another in the near future I definitely needed certain Invasive Procedures done. I needed a root canal, an extraction of a molar because the tooth broke in pieces from an old filling. The tooth just failed. I also needed a crown. Since root canals are so specialized they sent me to an Endodontist in Davie. Endodontist Associates of Broward. I was apprehensive at first, but again when I entered the office I felt that same calm, relaxed atmosphere. Again, from the front desk to the Technicians and the Dentist, Dr Selman I received the same treatment as I did from Atlantic Florida Dental. He performed the root canal advising me that it was questionable if the tooth could be saved, but after his treatment and a return visit a week later the tooth was fine. He did such a great job that when I returned to Dr Lapin it didn't require a new crown. Dr Lapin did the buildup and permanent filing and prepared another tooth for a crown, that they actually have the equipment and Technician to make in office within the hour. When I came back the new crown fit perfectly!!!! Since I only required one crown instead of 2, because Dr Lapin sent me to Dr Selman I had some extra money to have some cosmetic work done. HOW INCREDIBLE IS THAT! I'm still amazed at the whole process! Everything I had done was done, from start to finish, in 9 days. If they didn't make the permanent crowns in the office I would have had to wait 2 weeks for it to be sent to an outside lab to be made. In the meantime I would have had to wear a temporary crown until the outside lab finished the crown, and from previous experience, they didn't come back and fit properly. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS FOR ME TO EXPLAIN HOW DEEPLY GRATEFUL I AM TO DR. LAPIN AND ALL THE STAFF AT ATLANTIC FLORIDA DENTAL!!! I FINALLY FOUND A DENTIST THAT I CAN NOT ONLY TRUST, BUT A DENTIST THAT IS EXTREMELY EXCELLENT AT HIS PROFESSION, but one that is CARING, COMPASSIONATE AND DEDICATED TO PROVIDING PATIENTS WITH THE BEST TREATMENT POSSIBLE!!!! No apologies for the concept that they burnt up two hours of my day and now I have to start all over because there are plenty of dentists that do crowns in one visit. I could not have been more mistaken. I walked into his office literally in tears. I was at another dentist that took my insurance, and from start to finish it became clear to me that their is in fact a HUGE difference. Instead of going on about the terrible experience at the other dentist I want to share what I saw and felt to be the biggest difference. Dr Naierman has stellar bedside manner. He is polite, and takes a few moments to speak with me before even touching my mouth. While looking in my mouth he is not "heavy handed" and is quite aware that their is a person attached to "that mouth". He is professional and caring. After looking at my X-rays it was determined that I would need additional work done. He explained what/why/how. His staff was kind and eager to help with qs and the overall happy feeling in that office, I am sure, is a direct result of the working environment and watching Dr Naierman interact so well with the people that come in. The only thing I am sorry about is that I am moving away and won't be able to use him as my regular dentist.
