Go to another dentist. From the start of my appointment there were issues. I came with my daughter, who I stay at home with. They asked me I don't know how many times if I had someone to watch her - she's with me so clearly not. She's 4 and had her iPad so she would be entertained for the TWO minutes it took them to take X-rays. Mind you they have a lounge area with a TV 3 steps away from where the X-rays are taken. I haven't been to the dentist in 4 years, so I was preparing myself for a deep cleaning and almost anything else they said I needed. Turned out that I had cavities, needed a scaling and lord knows what else. I'm posting for everyone to see. They wanted to charge me $2600 plus for everything. I'm sitting there thinking "wow it's been 4 years I'm going to pay this much because they're telling me I need it". Why would the dentist lie? We get to the payment portion of the appointment and all of a sudden they're accommodating me about me bringing my daughter and my other two children. After me telling her for the 10th time I don't have anyone to watch my kids. I then go to another dentist, where I also did X-rays. I have ZERO cavities and don't need anything these "dentists" told me. In fact, I was told I have good oral hygiene for not going to the dentist in 4 years! How do you go from one extreme to another just by getting a second opinion. Needless to say, DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE THIEVES AT ASPEN DENTAL! Do yourself a favor. The front office insurance verification specialist gave me the biggest attitude and couldn't understand what I was explaining. My procedure today was $173 out of pocket and because I had a balanced for $15 they couldn't use my finance company due to them stating the payment has to take time to process. Mind you no one called to collect that payment nor did I receive any type of notice. Unfortunately they wasted my time and they lost a customer for $173. Do not take a chance on this dental office. My husband and I went to this office. We have dental insurance. We were directed to pay before our dental service. My husband received an additional bill. When he went to the office to discuss the charge he was directed to call a number. The office would not speak to him regarding the bill. The office manager would not come out to discuss the additional charge. Finally, the receptionist went to the back and returned to say the bill was erased and my husband would not have to pay the incorrect additional charge. They routinely overcharge for service my insurance covers. They were very rude to me when I called. I was given conflicting information about what I had to pay to get a cleaning even though my cleaning is fully covered by my dental insurance. I have been an established patient and they have made plenty of money off me and my spouse. And family. And friends. Now I am recommending to them what I will recommend to you. From the start, the front desk receptionist (I believe her name is Devone) showed a lack of urgency and care. She waited until the last minute to verify my insurance, which led to me missing my first appointment. The same issue happened again for my second appointment -- more delays, again due to her failure to properly verify my coverage. There was no effort on her part to take initiative or go the extra mile to fix the problem. Unfortunately, things only got worse with the office manager, Jules. Her attitude was extremely unprofessional. She spoke to me in a condescending, defensive tone when I raised concerns -- instead of trying to help or resolve the issue, she dismissed me entirely. It was clear she had no interest in patient satisfaction or accountability. After receiving a second opinion from another dental provider who pointed out possible additional issues, I tried for three days to get in touch with the dentist for a follow-up. I called repeatedly, asking to have a message relayed, but the receptionist and manager flatly told me that the dentist would not be returning my call -- with no explanation and no attempt to assist. Still needing answers, I came in person on the third day and asked to speak with the hygienist. Not only was she unapologetic for failing to return my multiple calls, but she also told me she had a patient in the chair and that if I wasn't happy, I could go elsewhere. Rather than showing any concern or professionalism, she made it clear that patient care was not a priority. Ultimately, instead of trying to address my concerns or provide any follow-up, the office chose to stop scheduling any further visits for me. They essentially cut me off -- not for being rude or unreasonable, but for asking for answers and proper follow-up on my dental health. This level of dismissiveness and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Aspen Dental at Dania Beach is disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly not invested in providing quality care. Don't waste your time going in there. The staff in the front is ready nice; but the quality of the work done by the dentist is very poor. I had 2 crowns done, just to have them redone by another dentist on less than a year later. When I reached out to them, they said it's because I might developed an infection underneath; so I asked how come if I the crown was only a few months old. Long story short; after many phone calls; they agreed to refund me for the payment of one of the crown- they did- then I when to another dentist and just have both crowns done and paid for again. I went a few weeks ago and wrote a review about scheduling a simple cleaning and they would only do a deep cleaning that both my cardiologist and dentist who recently retired for over 20 years advised against due to bleeding as I am in blood thinners and risk of infection. So my significant other had an emergencywith a tooth we of course googled and Aspen Dental in Dania point appeared. We went and customer service was good. He had planned on getting implants at some point because he liked the doctor and discussed it with him. He decided to go ahead and do the implants with Aspen Dental in Daniel point fast-forward to March 14. He has all his teeth extracted and temporary given to him when procedure was described to him, they said you would be in pain for the first 24 hours no mention of any other terrible things that you would have to go through the temporaries were sliding around his mouth and they said this is normal. Everybody complains about this. It'll get better. They gave us a sheet with postop instructions, which we followed at the bottom of the sheet in case of emergency it says swelling, extreme pain call this number for after hours. His appointment was on a Friday. Unfortunately we did not think about this that the office is closed the next day. He was an extreme amount of pain was given. Vicodin did OK the first day maybe because it was so numbed second day we were concerned about the pain called the emergency number twice. No call back. The answering service told me if they don't call back in two hours go to the emergency room. We waited it out Sunday. We called again emergency contact again no call back. We are now headed to an emergency room tonight because we do not think we can wait until 8 AM tomorrow and the emergency number Aspen Dental gave us did not call us back nor were concerned we wanted to be guided and we were not. I do not recommend this place if we would've gotten with a dentist in a private office instead of a large corporation I'm sure we would've gotten a callback extremely disappointed. read more

I hadn't been to a dentist in years. So, I wasn't surprised to learn that my teeth were in poor shape. But what to do? Implants? Or dentures? I decided to get all my teeth yanked and replaced with the top-line Aspen Dental denture, at the Dania Pointe office in South Florida. I made my decision after asking Rebeca, the assistant office manager, a number of questions. She answered them directly, which made it easier for me to move forward. I also let her know that I was nervous about the planned dental procedure. Clearly, it's not fun to have 25 teeth pulled out of your mouth. Fortunately, though, Doctor Nathan Taylor responded well to my concerns. He essentially coached me along the way, telling me I may feel some pressure, or hear some noise. But those are good things because the teeth were coming out without a hitch, he assured me. Taylor, the dentist, also told me to raise my hand if I felt any sharp pain. I needed to hike my arm once, which got me a needed jab of an agent to numb the pain. Was it fun? No way. But I survived. And now I'm breaking in my set of temporary dentures. It should take about six months to make sure the fitting is right for me. At which time I'll get my permanent dentures. I highly recommend Aspen Dental at Dania Pointe in South Florida. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Reasons: After being a patient at this Aspen Dental for 2+ years I will be taking my business elsewhere after experiencing terrible customer service leading to INCREASED costs. I called to make an appointment for a teeth cleaning and provided my insurance to the front desk woman. On 2/14/22 I arrived for my appointment and provided my insurance once again in person to the front desk woman before my appointment. Concluding my teeth cleaning I spoke with the office manager Christine so I could make an appointment for a crown procedure. I was provided the price breakdown, the picture above, and shown what my insurance paid for. After seeing what my insurance would pay for I paid IN FULL $420 for a crown procedure and scheduled it for 3/1/2022. When I arrived for my 2PM appointment I was made to wait ONE HOUR as they had made a mistake on THEIR END with my insurance. Despite the fact my insurance was provided via PHONE AND IN PERSON at my previous appointment for teeth cleaning and after I paid for this crown procedure they INCORRECTLY CHARGED THE WRONG INSURANCE. After blaming the previous front desk woman who took my insurance information and stating she no longer worked there I was then told, mind you after waiting an hour after my schedule appointment, that the price had changed to the following: -$1,171 for my crown procedure When I declined to do the procedure at the increased price I requested a refund for the $420 I had paid in full for the crown. Christine, the office manager, stated I would only be refunded HALF because as they incorrectly charged the wrong insurance the insurance I provided did not cover the teeth cleaning so they would KEEP THE PAYMENT. Terrible business practice. Regardless of calling my insurance in and showing it in person they incorrectly charged me and provided false information about my charges based on the wrong insurance. Instead of honoring their mistake they essentially stole money based on THEIR MISTAKE for incorrectly charging the wrong insurance. I would have never gotten my teeth cleaned at this location based on this price nor scheduled and paid in full for a crown procedure. I went to Aspen Dental in Dania FL thinking this would be a great place as they are part of a national chain, which should mean high standards set across all their locations, so I thought I had finally found a good local dentist. The owner, the staff, the trainer, all nice people in a great new facility but pricing and their estimates is where they get you, so be very careful dealing with this company. I went in for an evaluation on 09/26/2018 $ 9,089.00. This covered all the repairs needed to my teeth. When reviewing the numbers they told me that my insurance company would cover most it and that my total out of pocket would be $ 2,612.00. They showed me on their screen all the great discounts I was getting so I was again excited and very happy after my 1st visit. I went back for a deep cleaning, all went well for this as well. Then I went in for me appointment to start the process of fixing my teeth and found out that the original quote was all wrong, so I had to get another quote but when they requoted I missed the part that the quote did not include my back teeth anymore, so I thought that it was worth it and I signed the paperwork and went for it. We go through the process, pulling 3 teeth, fitting temps till my permanent are ready an then I go in for my fitting. Most fit well but one of them as at the wrong angle, so doctor Taylor grinds it down to fix it but till this day it's not okay and it rubs against my inner lip, very annoying I must say. I paid the balance owed and thought I'd be all set. On 11/29 we received a bill from the for $ $620.40 , so my wife went to see them, they resubmitted and again it was denied, they rebilled us for $ 4,746.00 on 12/31, we again went to them and they said that this did not make sense and resubmitted the paperwork, it was denied again and the balance owed was $ 2,359.40, much better but not even close to what they said. I've paid them over 4k, the work was never done right, I now have to find another dentist to get my teeth fixed, total BS. Doctor Tayler is a super nice guy, the whole staff are but be careful with their billing tactics, it's either a scam or the guy in the billing/estimating office back there has no idea what he is doing. read more

The staff at this dental office are friendly and inviting, but unfortunately my visits to them have now left me with health issues and debt. I found them as a second option on Google, I thought they took my insurance but they did not so I had to apply for their different credit applications. They are a new establishment and my visit to them back in September happened to be on their first day opening. I told them the problem, I had an obvious cavity that was causing me pain, they took X-rays of my mouth, told me the problem and assessed their treatment to help me. They filed down the tooth which had the cavity and put a crown on it. But I was still having a sharp pain in my mouth, I went back to them before the permanent crown came in and they just filed down the temporary one. The next visit was to put the permanent crown on but I was still very much in pain. They told me it should get better then. About a week later I went back to them still in pain, they then told me there was another cavity in the tooth in front on the one they worked on. Mind you they didn't do any xrays on this visit, they told me my insurance didn't cover that tooth. So they didn't tell me about the other cavity because my insurance didn't cover it. That makes absolutely no sense. My insurance didn't cover anything. I had to apply for their credit. So they neglected to tell me about a tooth which had a cavity and did work in my mouth which exacerbated that tooth. I asked to have it pulled but they wanted to do a root canal which I could not afford. So they prescribed me an antibiotic and I came back later the same day and they did a root canal. Ever since then I've been feeling really ill. I had knot in my face that didn't go down after numbing wore off. I've been to my doctor, had check ups and blood work. I've had several visits to the ER due to horrible headaches and pain down the left side of my body, chest pains, you name it. I've had ct scans of my head and back. I told my doctor everything but doctors don't think your teeth have anything to do with your health. I went to holistic dentist and they did xrays. The knot in my face turned out to be an abscess which was causing some of my illness. March of this year I finally got both teeth removed. The tooth with the crown was pinching a nerve which made it painful for me to smile and the tooth with the root canal was very brittle. I decided to have them both removed but unfortunately I'm still left with the effects of the infection that wreaked havoc in my body for all that time and my face. It's been almost a year since my visits to Aspen Dental. As nice as they were, they were very negligent. Money shouldn't take precedence over treatment. I would have liked to have been told everything and given the options on what to do rather then not to be told at all. I was healthy before I went there, never had a problem, besides the toothache, and now I'm in constant pain and the doctors don't know anything. I'm worried it could be something bad. It's all on the left side of my body which is where the teeth were. I'm in financial turmoil from dental and doctors visits over the span of months. I didn't go back to this establishment because I no longer trusted them. I just pray this helps someone and make sure you ask questions about what's going on in your mouth and that they tell you everything and don't feel pressured into any procedure that you don't want. Update 1/27/20 It's been about a year and a half since I went to this Aspen Dental. And I've been unwell ever since. They have ruined my life. I'm sitting here today in pain on the left side of my body. I've had countless doctor visits, visits to the ER and urgent care. Nobody can figure out what's going on with me and I'm scared that whatever it is will kill me. I can't afford to do anything else. I wish I'd never gone to this establishment. They lied to me and were very negligent. Fantastic and friendly staff that go above and beyond to keep their patients happy and as comfortable. Great place to go if you have a fear of the dentist. They are happy to work with you to make your procedures as painless as possible. (Had a root canal and didn't feel a thing!) Aspen offers a free exam if you don't have any dental insurance, and they offer payment plans for more expensive procedures. Dentist was away on a trip, and so the assistants did the impressions, lower denture was a bad fit, useless in fact and wouldn't stay in. When dentist returned he said not enough gum and suggested implants. Why was this not suggested earlier, maybe because although I was paying for a dentist I was getting assistants! This should have come up before any work was done by qualified personnel and before I'd paid the $3,500 ? implants turned out to be too costly and even then I had to have repeated x-rays because the assistants botched them twice. After a talk with the dentist about a partial refund for the useless lower set, he said he'd get back to me but never did. Eventually I called only to be told 3 month window had now closed and I'm out of luck, no refunds even partial ones after the allotted time! All in all a very disappointing experience, assistants doing the dentists work, screwing up, and now screwing me into the bargain.
