Not only did he remove the impediment and, thus, make possible the desk's removal - he then took it upon himself to remove the desk itself! After doing so, he reattached first the relevant door trim/frame components and then the door itself. So, a job that I expected to require two trips - the first to detach the jamb/trim and a second to reattach it after the desk was hauled away - he did in only one.
