He is very clean, he partitions his work area with plastic sheeting, not allowing dust to spread throughout your home. He cleans up every evening prior to going home. Luis successfully bade and completed two very complex jobs on time and on budget. Job 1: Remove exterior door, concert landing, replace 2 sheets of exterior siding, frame and insulate the existing opening. Hang drywall to the interior seamlessly matching the existing walls and paint. Conclusion: Luis completed the job in 3 days. Viewing the interior and exterior of my home, you'd never know an exterior door existed at the previous location. All remnants of the landing were gone. Job 2: Luis expertly hand painted (two coats) my 2000 sq ft home and elongated 2 car garage. He was very detail oriented, painting the house, trim and doors. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give Mr. Luis Lopez Handyman a solid 10 for the 2 different jobs he completed for me.

A few days ago while assembling a baby bassinet I sat on the edge of the bed to read the instructions and the bed collapsed under me. Apparently there was a stress fracture in the side rail that we never noticed and I sat in exactly the right spot to make it give way. Pottery barn only provides a one year warranty and since this was a pricey piece of furniture I called a furniture repair place. Their answering service said they would return my call after the weekend. While looking online for another repair option I found Max on yelp. He responded quickly to my project and we set an appointment for the next day. Not only did he fix it but was able to salvage the original wood with special brackets. The frame feels solid. I noticed a post on Nextdoor asking for handyman recommendations. There were a bunch of replies,…read morebut only 5 that seemed to match my criteria. I did research online for those 5. There was only 1 that had what I was looking for in a handyman company. Included in my list of requirements was BBB registration, insurance to protect customers and very positive reviews on all the main sites (Angi, Yelp, Google, etc.). It was also important that the 'company' be more than one person and have experience in the projects that I was interested in doing. Only one of those companies checked all the boxes: Welter Home Services. I called them and spoke with Kevin about our current and future needs. We had 3 projects. I wanted to do one to be sure I was pleased with their work (I was) before starting the other two. Kevin explained what labor and materials we needed to complete the job. He provided a detailed estimate with all materials and labor stated. Our first project was the replacement of a kitchen pantry door - including the whole door frame, hardware and trim. This required removing the old door, frame and trim - and painting the new door, frame and trim. On the agreed upon date, a Welter HS employee showed up at our door exactly on time. He was very pleasant and helpful. He completed the project, checked his work and made some touchups where the appearance as not "perfect", then did a great job of cleaning up the area he had worked in. We are very pleased with Welter HS and the work they completed for us: on time and for the price they quoted. We are moving forward with the next two projects and are looking forward to getting them completed with the same quality and professionalism that they applied to this first project.

But when I looked more closely at the fence in its entirety, I noticed it looked pretty poorly done all around. I assumed the prior owners had done it or paid for a cheap fix because it was clearly not done by someone who builds fences for a living. I contacted Eric to come give me a quote on the whole thing. He came by the house pretty quickly, within a day or so, and provided an estimate within the day. I was pretty impressed that he was able to schedule his crew to do the work within 4 business days. They took care of all the permitting and everything, and though I could have done some of that myself it was worth letting them use their expertise rather than me saving a little money to take longer and get frustrated doing it. The fence looks really great, though there's a board or two that has a bit of splintering. The gate is in a completely different league from what was there before. It's properly constructed, well placed, secure, and makes me feel much more comfortable. And I can place a padlock, providing a bit more privacy and protection. They also fenced in a small section that I had some power lines/pole exposed and was a concern for having kids play in the yard. I'm very glad that we went with Pro-Built Fence. Professional, fast, timely, and very skilled at the work they do. I'd highly recommend them. If you're looking for new fencing contact them early so they can get you on their schedule!

The first days with decent weather in late April the deck was washed, and by early May the deck was finished. A crew of 2 worked a full day power washing and bleaching the deck and 2 sections of yard fencing. Every part of the deck was thoroughly cleaned, including areas not normally visible, and all areas of the deck that were surrounded by bushes. Within about a week, as soon as we had a few sunny days and warmer weather, a crew of three worked a full day sanding and staining the deck and fence. The deck floor was power sanded, and all other surfaces were hand sanded, before all sawdust was carefully blown away and stain was applied. Deck Doc did an outstanding job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Communications regarding scheduling were excellent, work was done competently and on the days and at the times promised.
