Dude I'm more Mexican than this food and I'm a big old gringo! Rice and beans average. Liked the free chips because they were salty. Taco meat was flavorless served in a stale hard taco shell. No spice and no flavor were present. 3 enchiladas also lacked spice and flavor covered in flavorless queso or red sauce. I'm gonna skip this one on the flip flop. I suggest u do the same. read more

Servers were very friendly. The food however was not ok. The salsa was basically just tomato sauce (no seasoning, no peppers, onions, etc), I got the taco salad it was very watery from the ground meat that looked like it had gone through a blender. The food had no real seasoning, at all. read more

I ordered Pineapple fajitas to-go. The fajitas were good, presented in a halved pineapple. The shrimp were very small, more than likely frozen. I feel like if you are going to sale shrimp on the coast, they should be fresh, but that's my personal opinion. The rice & bean portion was smaller than you would typically get dining in. The señorita cashing me out was very nice & clearly busy with a full restaurant. Overall, pretty basic Mexican food. The restaurant appeared clean and well kept. read more

Just moved back after living in Cleveland for 10 years. I was afraid I wouldn't find a good Mexican restaurant down here... I was wrong, happily! This place is phenomenal! I always use the chili reillenos as a test of aexican restaurant. The reillenos here are fantastic! As in the ranchero sauce and their carne! Yet another coworker recommendation and this place was delicious! Hole in the wall places usually are the best places to go try out. Birria tacos are the new things to try out here locally. I know they have been out for awhile in other places and finally made it to the Mississippi coast and Juan Tequilas did not disappoint with it. You get three tacos in an order and it comes with fresh cut cilantro and onions with wedges of lime and the au jus dipping sauce. If you haven't tried these yet I'm telling you to run down there and try them out. I also got the lengua tacos and the meat was cooked down to a buttery texture! They are not chewy at all and if you don't know what lengua is I would suggest trying it first before looking it up. We also got the fish ceviche to have something fresh to cut some of the heavy food. We just love the citrus acid from ceviche dish. My wife also got the Katy's which was a cheese enchilada topped with beef and comes with a side of rice and beans. I know it sounds like alot of food which it was but, is always good to have leftovers for the following day. read more

absolutely the worst Mexican food...sub standard quality...we spent over $114 for delivery from door dash as we wanted Mexican....well, never again! no flavor, salsa was like tomato soup...watery. cheese dip so watery that when it got cold it was still watery...no chicken in the supposed chicken enchilada, soggy taco with no flavor as it was placed on top of the watery pale refried beans with no taste...rice....Well I can go on but if they call the chicken fajitas as such it's sad....mostly green peppers with no flavo at all....and no corn tortilla as we asked....flour ones looked like they had been reheated or reused...disgusting....all in all they should be ashamed to serve this kind of food....wow read more

Loved it. Have been wanting to try Juan Tequila's for a long time (ever since seeing their LB location), and was excited when I saw they had come to Waveland. Finally had a chance to try them yesterday, and was extremely satisfied. Lived in Chicago for many years, and hadn't been able to find anyplace here that served "Street Tacos" until going to Juan's. Also had a Horchata that was excellent. Parents had the crunchy tacos that they also thoroughly enjoyed, and since stepmother couldn't eat her last one, I knocked it off for her, and will say it was great. Service was right on point. Didn't think to take a picture until I only had one left, so please excuse the messy plate. read more

Wow This is great authentic mexican food. The carnitas burrito was so good. The El Pastor had a good hidden sweetness. Be careful of the bottled orange salsa So Hot will melt your socks off. The table chips and salsa were great. I'd definitely recommend this place and come back for more. read more

Lol, Americans seem to grade Mexican restaurants by the size of their Margaritas! This restaurant is Tex Mex even if the staff are Mexican. Sadly, here in the Gulf and in New Orleans there needs to be a REAL Mexican restaurant. Staff was very nice but food really bland. Looks good and on the first bite seems delicious as it's fresh but as you keep eating you notice the tamales, enchilada and burrito they all taste the same. Seems they are not very diligent in the preparation of their plates. Rice was decent but lacking flavor. Nachos were good and fresh, salsa was on the watery side. Sad to say will not go back as I like to support small businesses but nope, this food is as bland as the chain El Paso which is mediocre. read more

I kept putting off going to this little restaurant because I feared it would be the same as all the others. Well, it is not. Do not be deterred by the price for a meal because it is plentiful and delicious and definitely authentic. My hats off to these guys! We are from Arizona where we have amazing Mexican food. This one is right up there with Arizona. Their Margaritas are the best since we left home. Tuesday's they have buy one get one free. We had mango frozen and they were as best as they come. Sugar on the rim makes them amazing. I would recommend to everyone. read more

Yuck! No flavor. The beans taste like water. I asked for " chicken fajita"nachos were grilled chicken that had a rubber texture, good seasoning, but tiny weird chuncks. No grilled onions, bell peppers or tomatoes. Like literally there was no fajita to these nachos. The chips and salsa- chips were stale and the salsa was bland. Such a cute little building but the food was not good. They weren't even busy so idk how you could mess up a simple order like that.
