Special- baked potato with fried shrimp, cheese sauce, sour cream, a side salad and bread

Stopped in here for a quick lunch- the food was amazing. We had the shrimp po boy and the special. It was delicious! Everyone was really friendly too!

I tried but just couldn't get through the second 1/2 of the small poboy! Too good not to take home!!

Really good lunch spot. Staff are all very accommodating, friendly and fast! I love the roast beef po-boy! I'm use to a wide selection of po-boy places because of growing up in New Orleans. So so pleased to find this little place tucked away in a strip mall next to Sherwin Williams. Best onion rings, French fries as well. They stay busy so the food comes out hot off the grill or fryer. I've never been here when they weren't busy! That is a testament to how good the food is! As the prices of food have gone up paying a bit more for a good lunch isn't so painful. At 1/2 a po-boy I still cannot finish the whole sandwich!

Okay, so I know they got new owners and people are upset. I never tried them before the new ownership so I can't compare. But this is a 5 star place. We went yesterday and it was packed out. I got the roast beef po and my wife got the BLT burger and we split em. Both astoundingly good. Astoundingly good. I's telling my wife today that I'm still dreaming about that po boy from yesterday. Only thing I didn't like was the Leidenheimer's bread but I never have liked that NOLA bakery. Get you some Lunch Box and go home with a happy tummy!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 If you're looking for a local place for lunch, I *highly* recommend you swing by Lunch Box! While visiting friends in Bay St. Louis, we decided to swing in to grab lunch. It's always a great sign when you're struggling to decide what to order because everything sounds delicious. The woman working the register was extremely friendly and helpful. We had to wait maybe 15 minutes for our sandwiches to come out after we ordered. There was a decent number of people inside, so I anticipated the wait. Either way, the food was well worth that small amount of time. I ordered the grilled ham po boy. As you can see from the photo, the sandwich was packed without being too much to manage (iykyk). The ratio of meat, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. were perfect. My one friend ordered the catfish po boy, which she complimented highly. My other friend ordered a shrimp po boy with a side of fries. She too had nothing but great things to say about her sandwich. We all tried the fries. In my opinion they were the perfect amount of crispy and salty. I just can't say enough about how great the food here is! We also ordered a roast beef po boy to go to take back home to a friend. They told us they would hold off on it and prepare it when we were ready to go so it could still be warm. They didn't forgot about us and had it ready right as we were about to head out. Excellent service. As far as the ambiance, it feels perfect for a small family owned lunch place at the coast. It's simple but nice, has a few decorations here and there, and is extremely clean. It makes you feel right at home. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be stopping by again!

a hamburger and fries on a table

Sometimes you just want an old fashioned burger like those of the diner days and this one delivers. Simple and delicious. Patty is a special grind and handmade, old school sesame seed bun and dressed - you know what that means by now. And the fries! Grease so clean and hot there's barely any on the fries. Order at the counter and pick up at the window.

    Half a muffuletta

If you haven't been to the Lunch Box you are missing out on an amazing experience!!!!!!! Pick anything off the regular menu or try the daily specials I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!!! Recently changed ownership but they are keeping OG!!!!!!! The staff is impressive and welcoming!!!!! It don't matter if your a regular or a first timer you can bet you will feel like your being served by a loved one. If I'm anywhere close to Waveland and I can't stop in I feel cheated!!!!!!

    Half muffuletta. Outstanding.

It was a colder day and so the seating options were limited but I bet this place is fantastic in the warmer temps because they have a lot of nice outside seating available. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was excellent. I also got a rosemary honey latte with oat milk and I highly recommend it! The prices are very fair and portions are excellent. If you're concerned about parking, there are spots available in the lot next to the building and they also have plenty of nearby street parking. I found that out as I was exiting the train via their website. I was pretty disappointed, since there were literally no breakfast places around and the train drops you off at like 9am. I even asked the customer service person at the exit of the train, and nothing. Bay Saint louis would make bank with a 7 day a week breakfast place. Anyway, we came here regardless of no food to get some wake up juice. There were so many flavors and different combinations to try, let along the alcohol coffees. So, I decided on the Belfast Brew. It had Jameson in it and Irish cream. It was sooooo pretty when it arrived! Like a dessert! We sat in the couches and just chatted, very relaxing and no rush to be anywhere. There were a few people here so I can imagine it probably much busier later in the week. I have thought about this coffee many times since I had it and I wish something like this existed in New Orleans. It really was one of the best 'Irish coffees' I have ever had!

I loved the sleek designs and the dark green accents. We were escorted to the upstairs dining room. It was cozy and quiet and boasted nice views of the Gulf. For our entrees I had the pesto penne which was delectable and he had the lasagna which was delicious as well. The portions were perfect. Service was excellent. We had heard some really good things about Anthony's so we were both excited to try it for our 24 wedding anniversary dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and walked into a crowded but well decorated entrance. The hostess was less than super-friendly, she seemed a bit put off that she needed to look up a reservation and check to see if tables were ready. She sat us a a small 2-top at the entrance while she checked on our table. My husband had requested an upstairs outside table when he made the reservation. We waited about 15 minutes before they finally took us upstairs. They did not seat us where he requested, but put us at a very small bistro table against a wall across from the bar. It was fine, but not the ambiance he was hoping for. Food was just ok, my husband is a bit of a foodie so he was not impressed at all and actually disappointed in our meals. Cocktails were good and the Tiramisu for dessert was great. We decided that the next visit might just be for cocktails and dessert only... if we make it back.
