I had waited over an hour over my appointment time until Dr. Walker had finally saw me. I understand she was busy, yet I had felt rushed and that she didn't care to answer my questions towards the end. She pre-authorized my MRI, but I was denied by insurance for insufficient documentation. So, I requested for another pre-authorization with the information that the insurance requested. I waited a couple of weeks and called my insurance, only to find no request had been sent in. I had called the practice at least once a week for four weeks, and still nothing was sent to the insurance despite the staff promising they'd take care of it. My insurance even called their office twice to get the request done, but they were always left on voicemail. I finally went into the office myself, only to find they haven't acknowledged a single one of my calls. So I wrote down the info that the insurance company requested and asked them to send the pre-authorization. The receptionist promised to call the following day, yet again, no response. From April 14th until now, there has yet to be a response from this practice. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews and have given plenty patience with the doctor and staff, but this is unacceptable. A simple "we're working on it" would have been nice, but it's a little too late. read more

This review is based upon administration of Dr. Walker's practice. Dr. Walker gets 5 stars. Her office administration/practice gets one star. Entering the San Ramon office, there is no one taking patient temperatures or reviewing the COVID checklist for symptoms. Dr. Walker's office is on the 4th floor. The elevator is small. There is no sign indicating that only one person (other than family members in a pod) should use the elevator. Multiple persons were using the elevator. Stairs are available for those that can locate the stairs and have physical ability to walk up 4 flights. When entering the office, there are multiple patients waiting to be seen and multiple staff members assisting. Only then do patients complete a perfunctory written Q&A about COVID symptoms. If anyone was symptomatic, the staff and waiting room patients are potentially exposed. Prior to arriving at the office, there was no electronic communication requesting patients complete the COVID symptom checklist. This lack of compliance with basic CDC/medical practice guidelines is unacceptable. read more

I was able to get an appointment quick and get in fairly soon. I am pretty sure the group is a very high production office so not as personal as a smaller practice. Dr. Walker did give me a few treatment options which were good for the moment and, I chose to do the MRI option to get more definitive information. My reasons for 2 stars is because I left with no clear treatment plan until after the MRI. Kinesiology tape was not covered but on the way out I rushed to ask the doctor if it was recommended. She said yes and gave me a quick last minute confirmation. That was the extent of my treatment plan in detail. The receptionist asked when I am supposed to return and I had absolutely no idea. I just knew I was supposed to do an MRI and somehow figure out that I am supposed to return. The receptionist told me to email to doctor to find out. I should have had some action plan leaving the office and I was a bit unsettled by the rushed no clarity approach but it hit me later that this was not the medical approach I am accustomed to. After waiting for almost a week for the imaging center to call me to schedule, I contacted them and I was told the office forgot to send the MRI instructions. The imaging center called the office 3 times and never received a response. FYI, Many offices will do that leg work for you and get your MRI approval in advance but this one does not. In the meanwhile I have lost a week of time in limbo, my injury has progressed I am now out a week on an MRI approval and I had to initiate the entire process on my own!! I recommend finding another practice if you do not want to experience oversights of a poorly run practice. Though the doctor is nice and helpful, overall this is not a well-run facility. read more

OMG...what a blessing to be find her. I have been to two Dermatologists and one other Podiatrist for help with the most horrible, chronic and painful warts on my foot. I had them surgically cut out and frozen several times and nothing worked. The pain was unbearable and I couldn't walk for months. Finally, I was referred to Dr. Walker by my Internal Medicine doctor and she was the 1st to mention this other option and with confidence and compassion, she started my treatment immediately. She was the 1st to really ask about the other medicines I was on and immediately understood how they may be impacting my lack of healing. Had I come to her a year earlier, I may never had been disabled and could have saved myself tons of time and money. I adore her and would send anyone to her. She is up on the latest medicine, gives you plenty of time, has your best interest at heart, is thorough, and it didn't hurt that the staff was also very nice. Dr. Walker is the perfect blend of friendly, academic, and practical. She was on-time, thorough, and happy to explain anything I had questions on. Her treatment plan was based on her visual exam as well as understanding my patient history and the current social distancing environment. She follows up with personal phone calls and offers for her patients to call or email her directly with any questions/concerns. So many doctors force patients to meet their schedules (multiple in-person follow-ups for minor issues, phone tag with receptionists, running behind), regardless of the impact to the patient - it was so refreshing to find a doctor who goes out of her way to give me a better experience! My issue is resolved and I could not be happier about how quick and easily she got me back to normal. read more

Dr. Walker and her staff were efficient, considerate and thorough in treating my daughter's toe injury. Dr. Walker's bedside manner was excellent as she was very personable and clearly answered all of our questions. The staff coordinated with other offices to promptly schedule a same-day appointment the day we called. Since their X-ray was down that day, they promptly informed us and and coordinated with a local imaging center to have X-rays taken on the way to the appointment, which ensured an efficient and thorough evaluation process that day. read more

Judianne Walker is not just the best podiatrist that I have ever met, she is quite possibly the best doctor of any type. If you have to walk 20 miles to see her it is worth the effort. She is smart, kind, professional and, most of all, she really cares about you. I recommended her to my wife who came home after her appointment and told me "I understand your enthusiasm about her". You will never get that ivory tower attitude stuff from her and she will treat you like family. By the way, I am not family to Judianne even though you might think that by reading this. I had never heard of her until Dr. Soo Rhee recommended that I see her for some serious foot problems. I am very pleased. I would give Dr. Walker 10 stars if I could. Today was my happy day because I finally found an awesome Podiatrist after looking for over 20 years. Dr. Walker entered the room with a big smile, introduced herself and said it was great to meet me. I told her about past disappointments but already knew she was special after reading the reviews. Here is a novel idea: Dr. walks in and asks you what aches, listens intently and confirms what you've said, touches the foot to confirm where the pain is, takes xrays, reviews the xrays in detail and discusses a comprehensive healing plan. I agree that she is not just the best Podiatrist but possibly one of the best Doctors period. She gave me her business card and said I could email her with questions or concerns anytime and she would respond promptly. Also, encouraged me to call if I felt pain and needed an emergency appointment. She is my Podiatrist for life and I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a professional, compassionate, intelligent and kind Podiatrist. In fact, I told a friend at Costco about her 15 minutes after my appointment. I look forward to seeing her again during my next appointment. I had anxieties about going to the doctor in general. However, Dr. Walker was very gentle, caring and professional. I wear suits and high heels on a daily basis and I knew for sure it was only time when I was going to need a podiatrist. Arriving to the office I felt welcome and was seen immediately. After careful examination - I was truthful and said I will continue to wear high heels daily - I was not reprimanded by Dr. Walker, I was comforted by laughter and an, " . . . I totally understand" commentary. I was told to wear heels in moderation and advised on the types of heels that were better than others. My fear was being advise I had to wear unflattering shoes - LOVED the understanding. I was given a cortisone shot and told to rest my foot for healing. I now wear heels mainly only at the office (of course at weddings and formals, etc) and I don't feel any more pain or discomfort at all. What I do feel is relaxed and confident I found a great doctor to take care of my feet! I would highly recommend her to anyone. read more

This place is the go to place, Doctor walker was super helpful when I went to go get my infected ingrown toenail removed. The worst part was the shot and it wasn't even that bad because she helped me stay calm, after that I didn't feel the rest of the procedure. I just saw Dr. Walker for the first time today for a badly broken toe. She was wonderful! I felt kind of silly at first because it was just a toe, but apparently I really did a number on it. I was able to get a same day appointment and had no wait once I got there.
