The office told me my insurance would be accepted but they didn't submit a pre-treatment authorization so when I arrived for my surgery, I was required to pay the entire bill up front and then get reimbursed by my insurance. I was not told I would be paying the full balance (roughly $5000) up front. The office said they would submit my claim and I would be reimbursed in 2-4 weeks. So, I paid the full balance because I had no other option. After a month, still no reimbursement. The office said my claim was lost when they submitted it the first time so they resubmitted it. Another month goes by and still no reimbursement. The office submitted my claim a 3rd time. Then the office told me to contact my insurance about the claim, which I did, and my insurance stated they sent a check to the office 2 weeks ago. When I informed the office about this, they said they didn't receive a check. I called them the next day after verifying the date and amount of the check and the office said the check was with underwriting. I then contacted my insurance company again and their records show that the check they sent the office was cashed 3 weeks ago. Then, when the office told me they had my check, the amount of the check was less than the amount my insurance sent the office. Also, the office needed me to email my correspondence with my insurance company to verify what I was saying. I continued following up with the office and stated I would come down to the office to clear this up. Finally, after nearly 9 months, I received my reimbursement in two separate checks even though my insurance sent one check to the office. Interestingly, the amount of the two checks combined was more than the one check my insurance sent them so I ended up getting a few hundred dollars more than expected. No, I did not inform the office of this because I think they were trying to not pay me what my insurance reimbursed me and ended making an accounting error in my favor. This office has suspicious billing practices and I will never go to them or refer them to anyone even though the procedure was fine. They have offices throughout Sacramento and I went to the office in South Sacramento. There are plenty of other oral surgeons to choose from

Dr. Ly and his staff are inviting, warm, transparent, and truly treats his patients with the utmost care. I recently got an apicoectomy done and he was willing to stay late to accommodate my work schedule, put on music for me so I would feel more comfortable, continuously reapply Vaseline for my dried lips, and even gave me an unplanned and unscheduled cleaning post surgery. Not only can you tell that Divine Dental Solutions cares about their patients, but you can definitely tell that Dr. Ly is well versed in all that he does. He goes over the procedure with his patients, finances, and truly takes his time to do a good job. I've also taken my toddler here since she got her very first tooth and Leah does a great job calming her down, giving her prizes from their treasure box so she will be excited to return, and they even have a little inviting kiddy area with fun books. Dr. Jensen is professional, amazing, and soft-spoken; he explained everything clearly and answered every question we had regarding the procedure. The efficiency was incredible--he removed two fully erupted top wisdom teeth and two horizontal impacted ones in less than 40 minutes under general anesthesia. The recovery was just as smooth; my son was pain-free by the second day using the provided ice pack and post-op instructions. The prescription was sent directly to the pharmacy, making the whole process seamless. His recovery was so fast that he was able to attend his first year of college just three days after surgery! I also loved the office layout, which includes a discreet side door to wheel patients out to the car. Tarah, the receptionist, was a pleasure to deal with and clearly explained our insurance coverage. I've also had the pleasure to deal with Nora (over the phone) and she was a sweetheart. Upon returning from my trip, I scheduled an emergency appointment with Luc Dental Care. An x-ray confirmed a large cavity in my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort). Three days later, strictly following the post-extraction rules, I have no pain (thankfully)...thank you Dr. Fries and the rest of the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists team!

I just got my wisdom teeth removed today. i had 3 full teeth removed, and the top part of my left…read morelower tooth. My surgery was conducted with local anesthesia, so i can't speak for IV sedation or oral sedation. I've had experiences with local anesthesia prior. So I knew what to expect. The numbing....while painful was the least scary part of the procedure. The surgery was EXCRUCIATING.... even with the sedation. but i don't regret having it done, as my teeth were starting to decay because of the lack of space. My advice to anyone considering it. is PLEASE only do it if it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Because i refused IV sedation... the local anesthesia, was painful enough that i started to tear up. I am currently writing this while my head and mouth are throbbing. My mouth is pooling with blood and saliva. i may have even swallowed a little lol. Please remember not to wait until you're 30s or 40s to have it done. The doctor was kind and understanding. Do not go here! On Sept 11, 2024 12pm I had one tooth molar implant scheduled. I left my scheduled surgery crying because they injected me with numbing solution, laid out all the surgery tools and told me they couldn't do the surgery. I was confused...after I had sat there for an hour waiting for the procedure to happen. I see all the tools laid out ready to go. I overhear the nurse and dentist saying the drill isn't working and it's wobbly. They then scramble around in the room and leave and come back in to tell me they do not have a working drill my size. Dr. Nehal Shah DDS License #102251 is the dentist. She tried to offer me 5% off and said she was sorry etc. I left crying and overwhelmed. I came back the next day to try to resolve the issue. I asked if she's told her boss Dr. Ernesto Perez Delgado about this situation and she said no. When asking about the discount, she said she didn't feel comfortable doing my procedure and would need to go to another to another location in which the discount wouldn't even work. This dentist lied to my face. I was dumb tot he face until 8pm and so traumatized by the experience. I plan to report them to Consumer Affairs and the Dental Affairs. I was so nervous being at the dentist and in such discomfort that after making my follow-up appt, it wasn't until I was halfway home that I realized I didn't have prescriptions! I called him and he informed me that the next doctor that sees me (oral surgeon) can write me a prescription. I asked him what happens if I can't get an appt for another couple of weeks, you said I had a really bad infection and I'm in a lot of pain. His response? Your face didn't look swollen to me and if you're lucky, you should be able to get an appointment sooner than that. The ladies that work here are so friendly and so nice but AVOID THE DENTIST LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! I have already filed an official complaint.
