Their webpage is a little bit different where you would have to navigate through many pages which may act as barriers to request for an appointment. Not customer friendly. Unfortunately, we changed our insurance to Unitedhealthcare Group Medicare Advantage PPO, and Dr Vong is not under our dental coverage. When I first visited Dr. Vong 4 or 5 years ago, I was so excited. I had been looking for a trustworthy and gentle dentist for years. Unfortunately I did not leave a review back then but it would have been a big 5 stars. Dr. Vong always checked in at the end of a cleaning to complete his own exam. He remembered details about my family, interest etc. He was so professional and I trusted him. When my kids aged out of kids care dental, I sent them to Dr. Vong. However, my last two visits have been disappointing. Six months ago, the front desk service was SOOO bad... I blamed it on COVID and staffing shortages. But when I went in for X-rays, Dr. Vong wasn't even in the office. Today, I went in for my next biyearly appointment and again, no exam from Dr. Vong. Although I have seen some shady dentists over the years, I have never had one not check in on me after a cleaning. I hope Dr. Vong reads this so he knows that his 5 star reviews will not continue if he is not available to his patients. I am not sure I will be back. read more

You get care here! Dr. Vong is very gentle, takes the time to explain procedures needed and does try to upsell any unnecessary products or procedures. This is BY FAR the best dentist office that I have been to! I'm usually very nervous and skeptical about other offices because I feel like they overcharge me! This place doesn't do that! I needed a root canal ASAP and was in a lot of pain and Dr. Vong helped me! Let me start by telling you the location, it is very easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who asked me to register on the computer (so much better than paperwork!). The waiting area was nicely decorated and comfortable. I was quickly welcomed by my dental assistant who prepped me and did my x-rays. Also, their patient chairs are very comfortable compared to other dentist offices. After I scheduled to have my root canal, I was a nervous wreck but Dr. Vong was very professional and explained everything that he was doing during the procedure. I was scheduled two weeks later for my crown and I am no longer in agonizing pain! My previous dentist was going to charge me so much more which is why I went elsewhere. I am so happy that we found a dentist we can trust in Sacramento. Dr. Vong is honest, caring and does high-quality work. I've found that it's really hard to find a dentist that won't try to rip you off or tell you have cavities every time you see them so they can make money off you (I'm speaking from personal experience). Like most other people, I'm not a fan of going to the dentist. But it's not something you can avoid. So when the time came for a cleaning, I was in search for a new dentist I came across Vineyard dental. The first thing I've noticed upon coming in was that the atmosphere was quite warm and inviting. Not typical of sterile/boring doctor/dentist office with the white walls and uncomfortable waiting chairs. Dr. Vong and his staff was also very professional and was attentive to my needs. He was patient and answered all the questions I had. When everything was said and done, I felt great. I was also able to take advantage of the new patient special and was able to get everything done at a very reasonable price. This place is awesome. Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. Chang is a very smart and skilled dentist. I'm not a yelper, this is only the second review I've taken time to write on, but this place is worth writing about. I hadn't been to the dentist in about five years because I used to work for an employer where my dental coverage would lapse every few months because it was based on hours worked during each month. Some months I would have coverage and others I would not. The process was somewhat complicated to predict at times whether or not I would have dental coverage each month. Most of the time I would end up with a surprise bill a few months later. This veered me away from taking care of my teeth. Not going to the dentist became such an established habit that I found myself somewhat hesitant about ever going. I've always had really white and healthy teeth so I thought I could go without dental care, maybe forever. What I really liked about Vineyard Dental is that they made it a no pressure situation for me to come in and get checked out. Needless to say, after 5 years, I was somewhat nervous. I have good dental insurance now, and I know it's good dental insurance, but Vineyard Dental still took the time to make sure I had adequate coverage before I walked in the door. Very reassuring for me. It's been a week since I visited Vineyard Dental and my teeth still feel great. You might find this part a little disgusting: I can actually feel a part of my teeth now that I couldn't feel before visiting Vineyard Dental (because Dr. Chang cleaned away years of built up plaque). They were also able to inform me about some other issues with my teeth and gave me great advice about how to take care of everything while staying under my insurance limit for the year. I guess why I wrote this review is twofold. First, if you haven't been to the dentist in years, you need to go! Two weeks ago I thought my teeth were clean. How to say this...everyone is nice and you will receive great deal but unfortunately, the dentist doesn't have strong technical skills nor cosmetic skills. He let his dental assistant take your impression and put the crown on for you. He has a lot of refund cases as the front office staff told me when I requested for my refund. I came by to visit with a friend, who is a satisfied client of Dr. Chang's, and I was impressed with the office's layout. In terms of decor, the walls and paintings lend itself to a home-like environment as opposed to a sterile health office. While touring the space, the lobby is spacious, the work space is impeccably clean, and the equipment is all up-to-date. Even though I'm not a Sacramento local, Dr. Chang was kind enough to provide me with some high-quality toothpaste samples, along with his general counsel for teeth whitening and overall cleaning advice. In our conversation, I learned more background information about these sorts of services, including the costs and possible side effects. It was refreshing to talk openly with a dentist about his perspective and suggestions. His demeanor is easy-going, friendly, trustworthy, and incredibly professional. I can honestly say that he is the best dentist that I/we have ever had. Needed a new dentist so we started shopping around in our local area. Liked the reviews and the fact that he was in our local vicinity, so I decided to book a double appointments for the hubby and I. When we arrived, we noticed the front of the building right away as we drive past the office on a regular basis and remembered when they 1st opened. Wow, we didn't realize this was the place that would be our new dental office (I will have to admit, it is not in the greatest geographical prominent business location). But OK... When we walked through the front door, OMG we were pleasantly surprised that the inside was as nice, clean and stylish as it was. 2 thumbs up, well 4 thumbs up. Dr. Vong was a referral from family and friends. I've always been very punctual about my cleanings every 6 months, so it's been quite the battle when I had to find a new dentist. When you walk in the door, I was greeted with very friendly staff. There's a computer to the side where you can electrically fill out, sign and check in for your appointments. This was very convenient ! My cleaning with Dr. Vong was thorough and pleasant. An assistant polished me and the receptionist set me another appointment in six months. I started coming to Vineyard Dental when I acquired Delta Dental insurance. A lot of dentists do not accept this insurance. The service has always been stellar, and they are very good about answering any insurance questions, or general questions about procedures. Dr. Vong and his staff are trustworthy and very professional. I have had some really terrible experiences with dentists - from legal battles to swollen gums, I seem to have a gift at finding the worst dentists. Today, I hesitantly made an appointment to see Dr. Chang Vong, hoping that the reviews on Yelp had finally led me in the right direction to a reliable dental office. I was greeted by a nice and smiling receptionist. From that moment, everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I have fairly sensitive gums (especially with the x-rays), but the dental assistant(Jannet) took great care and seemed to truly listen to me. I was given a through cleaning, had quite a few x-rays taken, and was seen by the dentist himself, all in about an hour and a half. Dr. Vong is personable, isn't pushy in the least and really seems to be one of those "family dentist"-sorts that you would take your children to see. Also, they didn't try to charge me something my insurance wouldn't cover, there were no hidden fees, and I was able to leave with a bright shiny smile. Vineyard Oaks Dental, where do I start? Dr. Vong and his overly competent staff does their job to satisfy your every need! Originally, I had gone to another dentist and he suggested that I should pay almost 600 dollars for a deep cleaning because I showed early signs of gum disease. However, I questioned his observation and analysis since I was still young and maintained daily oral hygiene practices. With that said, he also stated that I have 3 cavities, which would cost an additional hundred or so. Wanting a second opinion, I opted to go see Dr. Vong due to his amazing reviews. The reviews were on point! Dr. Vong not only told me that my teeth and gums were healthy, but I only had one cavity (due to my addiction to sweets). He went over both of the x-rays with me, the images he and his staff took and the images the other "dentist" took, which were similar but explained two completely different conclusions. When I put two and two together, I realized that my original dentist wanted to make the most out of me and my bank account. Thanks to Dr. Vong and his team, I was able to receive the correct treatment and my teeth are feeling better than ever! I usually oppose and avoid dental visits but I will definitely be coming back! Unlike many people, I LOOOOOVE going to the dentist. Mainly because I like the feeling of clean teeth and knowing my smile is taken care of. But ANY person who graduated from a dental school can do this. When you go to the dentist, you want to see a person who is PERSONABLE, FRIENDLY, and especially someone who is not trying to sell you a procedure you don't need! Left my dentist in Laguna for that exact reason. Then a friend introduced me to Dr. Vong. Upon meeting him, I felt like I've known him for awhile. I was able to talk to him about my concerns without being afraid that he will try to fix this and fix that, etc. At my old dentist, I was badgered to get a crown that would cost an arm and a leg. When I came to Dr. Vong, he said I didn't need it and found a cheaper alternative. I can tell his other patients love him also because they are always bringing him homemade food! Who would make and bring food to their dentist?!! He is THAT awesome!!! His staff is also very friendly and accommodating. My company switched insurance, and his receptionist helped me sort it all out. The office also does not look like the typical dental office. When you walk in, you are not blinded by all the white lights usually found in a healthcare environment. But instead, there are floor-to-ceiling windows that allow bright sunlight to shine through. My sister referred me to her dentist explaining how she would always leave with a feeling of content from each and every visit. First impression upon walking into the office is everything is bright and immaculate, and the ambiance of the office is very zen like, and very different from most typical dental offices. I was greeted immediately by the lady at the front desk, ( i believe her name is jenette). She was really friendly, and happens to be the lady who does the xrays as well. I could tell she's experienced because she positions the little square X-ray wings perfectly where it wasn't hurting other areas in my mouth and was very quick, where as from past experience elsewhere, xrays seem to be a pain from repeatedly needing to be re-positioned. My dentist was Dr. Chang Vong, and he was really friendly and honest. His assistant whom was helping with my root canal (i think its antonette) is a super awsome chick , and really easy to talk to. Not one of those eccentric people who creates and awkward silence in the room. She would keep making sure to have the channel i would want to watch on TV as i waited for the doctor. ( they've got TVs in each room, which is totally sweet!!!) Anyways, i went in for root canal, and Ive once had that procedure done once, and it was horrible (this was elsewhere). But Dr.Chang did it really well, and the pain was totally bearable and non agonizing. What I really liked about Dr. Chang is he thoroughly explains what he is doing so you understand what's going on, and at the end of each session, he would take an X-ray of what he had finished to show you explaining whats inside your tooth and what sorta work was completed on it. For me to understand what is going on, both from hearing and seeing with your own eyes, made me feel at ease and allowed me to truly trust him. There are hundreds of good dentists out there and it is easy to find one from a quick click off a google search. But to find an honest and good dentist, now, google won't be able to help you with that. Doctor Chang Vong didn't have the dishonesty and need to drill unnesccary holes in my teeth for no reason at all, like many other dentists out there who mainly are about racking up your dental bill. Here's a cool quick note, doctor Chang isn't only a regular ol' dentist. He's and endontist and also does dental cosmetic work. If you are in needing dental work done and are in search of a truly genuine honest dentist, I highly recommend vineyard oak dental.
