Juice Press is on a busy street on the corner. The shop is small with friendly staffs and has many healthy options to offer. I really have to eat healthy had their roasted veggie salad which was actually tastier than it looks. Their chai seed pudding was great too and definitely nice to have a different type of chai seed pudding compared to mine and it was a nice touch. I came here because I had a coupon. I'm not sure I would have tried Juice Press otherwise. Considering their prices, their smoothies and bowls are okay. I got what was called a unicorn bowl and it did not look anything like the picture that I saw in their online menu. While it was filling, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon since there's nothing too special about their menu offerings and I can make most of their menu that I'd order at home for a quarter of the price. If you absolutely need a smoothie, they do have locations everywhere! Update: since I last wrote, Juice Press has responded to my comment. They were very nice and understanding! I was impressed how fast they responded and how attentive they were of my complaint. I'm excited to come back some time and try Juice Press again. read more

I paid $14 for a green smoothie. That is entirely too much to pay for a smoothie. I realize I live in Brooklyn in 2019, but this is beyond the pale. In my defense, the menu did say that the smoothies they make are "The Greatest in the Universe." I've become completely addicted to ginger shots during the pandemic, drinking one a day since it started last March. My local grocery store sells a few different brands where I normally stock up. At some point this fall, however, they were sold out and I was desperate to get my ginger fix. I remembered there was a Juice Press not too far and loving their Ginger Fireball. Turns out you can put in pick-up orders, so I ordered a 5-pack, jumped on my bike and trekked about 15 min to get there. The pick up was quick and straightforward. The juices were in a paper bag which I put in my backpack and then trekked back home. When I got home and unpacked the juice, turns out 4 out of 5 of the juices had an expiration of the same day. I tried calling them right away, but couldn't get through, so I emailed instead. Within an hour one of the brand experience managers responded with an apology and asked for my address so they could deliver me a new pack of fresh Ginger Fireballs. Sure enough within a couple hours I had a fresh pack, plus a bag of popcorn and a little apology note from the associate who had originally packed my order. The swift recovery was hugely appreciated and commendable. Fast forward a few weeks ago, I was almost out of ginger shots and decided to order a couple packs of Ginger Fireballs to hold me over a couple weeks. I went on the website, put in my order, and was pretty shocked the delivery fee was $24.99, but desperate times call for desperate measures! Less than an hour later, I received an email from Stacey at Juice Press letting me know that they refunded me a portion of my delivery fee given that I'm local, and provided the correct link for ordering local deliveries in the future. I had used the nationwide shipping site by mistake. The customer service is exceptional. Thank you! read more

**a customer service update** Their customer service response was quick and incredibly thorough, an employee emailed me back immediately after I submitted my complaint, and also got on the phone to talk to me and review their processes that normally prevent errors like this from happening. I get this was very possibly a one time thing, and appreciate their speedy response. While I don't feel comfortable shopping with them again in the near future, I do want to applaud the lengths they went to to make it right. My original issue: I placed an order for five juices a week ago. Today I opened the last one, and noticed it tasted kind of odd, and checked the date on the bottle, which says it is best by 12/25/20. This order was placed on January 3rd and delivered on January 4th, and I was a little horrified to see something that was already a week past it's best by date was still in circulation and got delivered without anyone catching it. I started going here regularly as the weather got nicer. Their açaí bowls are very good. I'm still a little confused where the ingredients like the banana is (maybe it's mixed into the açaí?)... anywho with each açaí bowl they let me have three toppings which is fine and delicious. I guess what's extremely disappointing and a deterrent to going back is that there is consistently a crew of students (in the private outside area) who seem to be cutting school and smoking cigarettes and weed, yelling at each other for weed and going back and forth into a tinted window car right in front. They are clearly not customers, but they are there consistently for hours... The smell of the smoke and the environment while trying to enjoy my açaí bowl is no longer a place I want to visit and spend time at. It really taints my image of this place as a healthy place. I wonder if the owner can really do anything in this tricky situation? The workers are kind. Just confused by the listed ingredients that are not there (or maybe they are hidden?). It's been over 1.5 yrs since I've been here and I was looking forward to getting some freshly made delicious soup. Previously, they would offer 4-5 different flavors of soup. Sadly, they now only offer Tomato and black bean soup. I ordered the tomato. A woman who was sitting down eating told me it wasn't very good and super thick. I decided to try it for myself. Mistake!!! I saw the worker (who was very nice) mixing water into a tomato paste substance. I was surprised. I figured their soup was fresh made. I asked the young man to add more water to the mix. Only reason I keep coming back is because I like the menu and the products. But the girl who works behind the counter with the glasses has a dingy aura. You walk in, she isn't welcoming, her presence gives off "i dont want to be here today". AND it's like that every time I come. Whenever I'm trying to decide what I want, simply because the menu is so good, she is often hasty, rude, and nasty like she doesn't have time to wait for you. I'm often afraid to ask questions just because she's often nasty and blank in her responses. Never a hi, welcome, with a smile and happy presence. I suggest she get a job she enjoys because she clearly doesn't enjoy this job. I almost walked out today because in my mind I was "should I really give this establishment my money when this worker is rude. This place is super cute! It's is small, but a really quaint set up. You walk up to the counter to order. There's not a lot of people working so it was a little slow but they have an array of organic foods. Smoothies, salads, soup, and acai bowls. I got the Almond Butter Acai Bowl. I added coconut flakes and the chia/flax seed mix. It was delicious! Super refreshing, and adding the toppings gave it a great crunch. I would definitely suggest it! It kept me so full too. I also tried the blueberry acai as well and that was really good! The cauliflower soup was really tasty and flavorful. I will definitely be back to try their different foods :) read more

Made a pit stop at Juice Press today after a walk. Not my first time here, but first time reviewing. So Juice Press has a lot of pre bottled juices which are delicious, believe me, I've tried many....Today I bought the Green Light for $ 10.00 which is freshly made, it has spinach, kale, banana, date, vanilla extract, maple water, it's healthy and yummy!! The staff is extremely unfriendly and have "can't be bothered" attitude (different people each time). 1st time I ordered online for pick up - they couldn't find my name and they acted like they are doing me a favor giving me what I already paid for even after I showed them a receipt. Second time they wouldn't acknowledge me at all. They closed 10 min before I showed up because of revised hrs (not posted online) and would not even attempt to make an eye contact. A friend of mine picked it up for me the next day and it was not what I ordered. In addition one of juices was expired. Not using that location anymore. I did a three-day clean eating cleanse and was surprised to discover that the items were delicious and relatively filling. Unlike pure juice fasts, which leave me hangry, I felt satisfied, and when it was finished, I was left with cleaner skin and a new motivation to continue eating well. The cleanse is pricy but, in my opinion, well worth it for anyone who wants to jump-start a diet. The staff also could not have been more helpful. I bet this thing is going to so unbelievably delicious that I will need to go home and write a review on Yelp!" It was "OK." Not delicious. Not worth $10. Like I said, you walk down the street and get a smoothie that is double the size and tastes better - for half the price. On a personal note... remember how I said I live across the street? This place leaves their big screen TV on all night long, constantly playing videos that show how "green" they are. After riding on my bike at Prospect Park I had a really strong craving for a juice and to my surprise I discovered there was a Juice Press two block from the park. I loved that they had outside seating for those nice summer days. The heaven on earth drink which consist of almond milk, bananas, cinnamon and cocoa among other ingredients was truly heavenly. The staff was friendly and professional. They even gave me a plastic bag for my juice as I had to ride back to the park and don't have a cup holder. What is up with this place? Second time here. The first time, the employees were blank-faced and confused about my questions re. the menu. The second time, they charged me $11 for a drink that says $10 on the menu because "it's $10.10 with tax." When he was finished making it (only employee in the store), instead of coming back over to me at the register, he held it over the barrier so I could walk to get it. I used to go here all the time. It was healthy, tasty, and satisfying...that was, until they watered down everything. All, I mean ALL of their foods, drinks, smoothies, and every other product they sell is 99 percent water. This started since November 1st, 2017. They add just enough food to make it look like there's food so that it's not just clear. Also those colors are much brighter (obviously water and like no food) and I drink something in 5 sips that used to take 50. Or eat something realizing I might as well just pour myself a glass of water and find a few crumbs worth of the "food" that they lie is in there. Used to like it, but there is NO food in its food! I hate writing bad reviews, but this is the second time I've been extremely disappointed with the service. The first time I ordered a drink online, and arrived about 5 min after my order was ready. I live right next door. I wasn't greeted and instead waited in plain view of the person working while he was listening to music. He continued to make smoothie after smoothie before even addressing me. I waited 10 min before he finally came over to the counter without saying hi or can I help you. I asked him if my order was ready. He grabbed my smoothie and set it on the counter. Never saying a word. Then this morning I walk in to grab my smoothie I ordered for my second visit, and I hear the man whose working is clearly upset and arguing with either someone on the phone or a coworker. It was pretty aggressive and after 2 minutes I decided to walk out without my smoothie. My husband is going to go out to get my smoothie because I don't feel comfortable going in the store. It's really hard to spend $120-150 a week to get attitudes from the people who work at the Park Slope store. They are horrible, not helpful and never said thank you. They should see how awesome the TriBeCa store employees work. They are super helpful, always smiling unlike the Park Slope location. I think I will have give all my business to the TriBeCa's store.
