I came here about 1-2 months ago on a weekend to grab some food for takeout as this place is pretty close to me. A friend had told me the food here was pretty good. The place is ultra small and easy to miss on Post Ave. Inside, it's not huge but they have a bunch of tables and their lighting is pretty good. So I grabbed one of their menus that they had by the cash register and took a look. I was impressed because their prices seemed very reasonable. Key word being 'seemed'. I decided to order their enchiladas platter with red sauce, which was listed at $14. Unfortunately, when I went to pay for my meal, I was told that the menus were old, and that the real price for the meal was closer to $20. I might've even paid more than that with tax included; don't remember 100%. But that was very disappointing. I told the young lady who was working there that they price was listed at $14 on their own menu; she responded that the correct price was listed somewhere on their board. Though I'm pretty sure it was unintentional, I felt a bit duped. Anyways, I took my food back home to see how it was. I couldn't help but to compare this enchilada platter to the one offered at Little Mexico about a block away cause they offer the same thing. So, first off, Little Mexico gives you a ton of chips and salsa when you order a platter from them. This was not present at Juicebox. The platter at Little Mexico definitely gives you more food overall. Anyways, I dug in, and the platter from Juice Box wasn't bad. The flavor was pretty good and there wasn't anything too offensive about it, but unfortunately it just pales in comparison to the enchiladas at Little Mexico. I couldn't help but to be disappointed that the enchiladas platter at Juicebox was less food, no chips, tasted worse, and was more expensive. The enchiladas platter at Little Mexico comes out to about $17-18 after tax. So those were my thoughts overall. So that was my experience with Juicebox Cafe. I might give it another shot in the future cause it's close to my home, but I don't feel inclined to, especially after the pricing debacle I experienced and the price I paid didn't seem justified. read more

Nice spot for a quick bite. The name is a holdover from the previous incarnation as a yogurt & snack bar. However currently they offer a full breakfast and lunch menu including pancakes, paninis, salads and burgers. Furthermore they offer Mexican dishes such as tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, and full platters (steak, chicken, shrimp, etc) including paella. They offer weekday lunch specials and Happy Hour specials such as a burger and fries for $4.99! So far I've like everything that I've tried here. Definitely a good spot to try. read more

I love stopping in here for a sweet treat! The juice is made fresh while you wait and is always delicious. My favorite is the "health shot" ginger, carrot, apple in orange juice-Yummy and super healthy! It is a littttle bit pricey (~$7 for a medium) but I'd rather spend that on a fresh juice drink over a fancy latte at starbucks any day. I usually ask for the size up cup and to add ice (depends how concentrated you prefer your juice). Taco salad here is excellent here, it has soo much food (and your choice of meat on top)! Quesadillas and tacos are great here too (i found the pork a little bit too fatty for my taste but chicken and steak were fine). I was a little disappointed to find the chicken paninis have a processed chicken patty over chicken breast. I do really like the veggie panini here though and the spicy salsa (or sometimes queso) and chips you get on the side (who doesn't love that!) The food is really delicious and the juices/smoothies are great. Yet the service is horrible. I called in my food order one time 30 minutes before I got there and when I arrived I waited another 40 minutes for my food. They kept saying it will be right out just a minute. They even tried to have my pay for the food before I saw it EH-EH not going to happen. On another note my wife, drove to the loacation to get juices and 30 minutes after they were to open doors were locked lights off. So she called and asked them what time they open. In response they said "Who wants to know?" I must say that the only reason I did not give them 1 star is because when you eventually get your order the results are good. Pleasantly bright and cheery café featuring excellent fresh squeezed juice, smoothies, and a good assortment of Mexican and American dishes. I can personally vouch for the good service, the huevos rancheros, the banana peanut butter smoothie, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. With a name like JuiceBox cafe, how could you not be tempted to give it a try. Ever since I saw this spot pop up in Westbury I've had it on my list of places to try. I recently got a chance to go in there and I was pleasantly surprised. They don't solely make juices, they also make food, shakes, frozen yogurt, and many more. The first time I came I ordered a peanut butter banana smoothie and it was delicious. The second time I came in I wasn't sure about what I wanted to order and the woman behind the counter suggested I get a Green juice and it was yummy and I felt super healthy after. The place is clean and the prices are decent. Their ingredients seem to be fresh and I appreciate the customer service I receive when I go in there. What a rip off. I order from there weekly and pick up my food. I get the taco salad which is really good. They give you about 1/2 a tsp. of salad dressing which isn't enough. I usually buy a small container of salad dressing for .75, sometimes I get 2 containers. Today when I got 2 containers I was told each one is 1.75. There prices just went up, now 1.00 extra for mayonnaise and ketchup. That's no way to treat a regular customer. Never ordering from them again. Rip off others not me. Been here a few times as it is about 3 mins walk from M. Phipps Sports Center in Westbury Village. The place look clean and the fruits are fresh. Staff are easy going & friendly and I usually will sub apple for Kale on some of the juice combination. The juice are fresh and taste very good. They also sell pre bottle drink such as coconut water at a decent price. They also have wifi , ask their employee for the password. First: I wish I could give this 2.5 stars, because that's what it deserves. Because it is a local business---and I want them to improve and succeed---so I'll give it 3 rather than 2 stars. The short version: the juices are very, very good -- with a top notch selection. HOWEVER. food is not healthy, the food selections makes zero sense, given this is supposed to be a healthy little cafe, and staff is over-the-top unpleasant, sullen, ignorant about the food and its preparation. In all: a good start but if they don't radically improve this will be a case study in missed opportunity--and they will go out of business. Most astonishing to me is the menu is not better. If this place wants REALLY to succeed they have got to revamp their menu. This should not be a taceria with greasy burgers and fries. If it they serve these items, they should be high-end, with the best freshest local ingredients. I asked how the beef was prepared in, I think, a burrito (burrito in a juice joint?! if so it should contain kale, sweet potatoes, fresh fish or meats, a delicious seasonal sauce). The staff literally couldn't tell me what kind of meat it was. The woman said, "Uh....you know....beef." I said, "I actually don't know what that means. Is it skirt steak or tri-tip or sirloin or what?" She spent nearly 10 minutes in the kitchen----I almost left but I wanted my juice, which she had not started making. She came out and said "You know....it's yknow like streak, like regular beef." The cook came out and gave a shrug and a helpless smile. Perhaps there is overall language difficulty? That in itself doesn't have to be not problem, if staff is friendly about it---and really tries to accommodate you, not acting like you're taking them away from checking their phone--or insulted that you don't speak Spanish. I couldn't believe the dripping with grease french fries I saw there and other really unhealthy foods. My fiance and I finally checked out the much anticipated opening of a badly needed dessert place on Post Ave. It is at the far northern end of the village strip of the main part but it's worth the extra block or two walk up from the Space at Westbury theater. They offer coffee, espresso, smoothies, fresh juices and an assortment of a half dozen different flavors of frozen yogurt and about 3 dozen different toppings! The prices are reasonable and the staff is nice. They are just newly opened so I'm sure they are testing the hours of operation and are just becoming discovered by the locals. The good reviews here must be from the young workers' friends. I ordered a burrito bowl, but was charged for a burrito. Then, she mentioned the steak is $1.00 more... menu does list options of chicken and steak, but does NOT list extra charge. Fine, I'll pay for the steak. I have passed by this place a million times and wanted to try it for so long. My fiance and I were hungry and decided we would give this place a try after hearing wonderful reviews....It did not disappoint! As other reviewers have noted, the cafe's menu is a little all over the place HOWEVER, the food is made to order and absolutely delicious! We both ordered chicken & rice (arroz con pollo). It came with refried beans & a side salad. I ordered the Berry smoothie and my fiance ordered a tropical smoothie. We decided to dine in as there is seating inside and we were in no rush. The two women working were incredible sweet and accommodating. After ordering, we chose a table and one of the woman brought us fresh chips & salsa while our food was being cooked. We both got the smallest smoothie size (16 ounces) and it was more than enough & very filling. There are a lot of smoothie options. They have pre-selected choices but allow flexibility. You can substitute almost anything & you pick the base of your smoothie (almond milk, yogurt, regular milk, orange juice, etc.). After about 10-15 minutes our food was served (brought to the table for us so we wouldn't have to get up). The chicken and rice was SO flavorful and cooked to perfection. Side salad & beans were great too! The customer service was also a huge plus. I didnt feel rushed or uncomfortable and they did not even make us pay until after we were done eating! They have a fairly large menu with lots of options , fresh juice, smoothies, and frozen yogurt. Negatives: not open as early as it is stated and when called later in the day to confirm, the woman who answered the phone was rude and asked "why I was asking what time they opened?". The smoothies and fresh pressed juices are absolutely delicious! The peanut butter and banana with a scoop of whey is the perfect on the go breakfast. The juices are always made with crisp fruits and veggies with a freshness you can definitely taste. I believe they used to be a frozen yogurt shop and wish they would bring it back.
