Thomas's is everything that you wish for in a true diner experience. From the minute you walk in,…read moreyou're greeted by their friendly staff members. The interior gives that nostalgic retro diner feel. On a Saturday afternoon, our wait was about 25-30 mins, but it flew by quickly. Thomas's is beyond generous with their portions from the egg skillets to the pancakes. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions. And most importantly, everything here is absolutely delicious. My fiance & I ordered two orders of the blueberry pancakes, which was a mistake because of how MASSIVE each order was; we could've easily split one. We also ordered the sides of corned beef hash and ham steak. Highly highly recommend both. The corned beef hash is SO delicious & homemade, and the ham steak is huge! The staff here are really lovely and attentive. Our coffee cups never went empty. Parking is available on site, but incredibly difficult to get a spot. I wouldn't bet on parking here - be prepared to park elsewhere and walk over. Definitely our new go to diner spot!

I had the croissant French toast, which was incredible. Flaky outside and was and gooey inside. The Irish breakfast came with blood sausage, toast, eggs, beans and ham and tomatoes, it was very filling and flavor packed! Prices were very reasonable, and for that, when I'm in the area again I would definitely stop back in for a hearty meal.

This is my go-to spot when I'm in Williston Park, it's a spot I've been visiting since I was a kid…read moreand will continue visiting since the food and ice cream are so delicious! Ambiance has changed a lot since I was little, now going for more of a horse racing theme since they sponsor a race horse in Saratoga. Very cool but I do miss the vintage vibes! Maybe a few pictures of the original diner would be cool? The food is great. This was my first time trying the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger and it was so tasty, especially paired with the homemade fries. Milano ice cream is top-tier! It's like cookies & crème but replaces Oreo with Milano cookies. Service was a bit slow, which was odd considering we were one of two tables at the time. Also, we ordered a burger with grilled onions and ended up with a cheeseburger (no onions) instead. Otherwise, all was well and staff was very nice. (Alfredo at the grill is iconic and always the best, always remembers us!) This is a must-try spot- don't miss them at Citi Field either!

Ordered Cobb salad for delivery and this is such a disappointment. For 18$ this is nothing…read more Not packed at all, minimal tops and quantity of toppings. After removing the tomatoes, where's the lettuce? Half an egg, maybe 2 pieces of bacon chopped up and half of a tomato hugely sliced. Not a dense salad at all. Dressing was tucked into salad too. Not worth it in my opinion. Another person ordered a burger and fries and stated the burger was flavorless and so were fries. Not the Hildebrandts we knew.

I haven't stepped foot in a diner in over 20 years. Every time I tried in the past, it was the same…read morestory: overpriced food, lousy quality, and a dying culture kept alive only by Instagram trends. I am so glad this place proved me wrong. They stick to their traditional roots and put real heart into their food. The home fries are seasoned to perfection--crispy on the edges with a soft, perfectly cooked interior. While the eggs on their own are standard, pairing them with their hollandaise, Canadian bacon and an English muffin turns it into an absolute home run. The real star, though, was the pecan banana bread buttermilk pancakes. I was initially worried it would just be a lazy sprinkling of pecans on top, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The pancakes were pillowy soft with banana chunks inside, and--the ultimate game-changer--served with WARM syrup. Something so simple, yet so rare! Hats off to the chef, owner, line cook. This easily beats any over-hyped "trendy" pancake spot out there. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Mineola Diner has a lot of nerve calling itself a diner--it's really just an OVERPRICED, DUMPY…read moreCOFFEE SHOP. For these prices, you're much better off going to a real diner. WE WERE OVERCHARGED TWICE BY $10! We ordered two omelets, and our check somehow came to $45 with no itemized breakdown. When we questioned it, our server--a petite brunette woman who appeared to be in her late 20s to early 30s--insisted it was correct. After we pushed back, she claimed she had confused our order with a different omelet. There isn't a single omelet on the menu that costs anywhere close to $22 each, and that excuse makes even less sense considering we were the only customers there. She adjusted the bill to $35, but the total should have been less than that as well. Even then, the tax was still wrong. On top of that, they added a credit card fee without any notice. There was no sign, no mention on the menu, and no warning beforehand. The food was just as disappointing. The home fries were mushy and barely edible. Despite overcharging us more than once, our server NEVER APOLOGIZED! Hidden fees, inaccurate charges, terrible service, and mediocre food--this place is a rip-off, and we definitely won't be back.
