Worst experience ever! I don't believe I've ever worked with a tailor so incompetent. I dropped off my suit 7 days in advanced for MINOR alterations. Tony said he needed 1 week! I went back to pick them up today, (7 days later) and he hadn't even started on the job! You're busy? I understand. No communication though? I had to call him. He said he'd call me back and he didn't. There are SO many tailors in town that actually CARE. DO NOT waste you're time here! Go to men's warehouse or mission tuxedo down the street! Tony was amazing but, unfortunately, he's retired. The new owner actually told me to "buy a smaller size" instead of trying to alter. I brought Tony a number of challenging alterations, he never turned me away and he always delivered. My advice would be to go elsewhere. read more

Julia is a very talented tailor. I have a leather jacket with zippers at the bottom of the sleeves, which I needed shortened. Went in there just asking to have measurements taken because I'm ordering a custom drysuit for scuba diving online, and wanted to make sure I got the correct numbers and they recommend not taking the measure yourself. He couldn't do basic measurements like inseam, height and chest measurements in centimeters because "he hadn't done them before". He refused to help, and was less than pleasant about it. read more

Tony altered the sleeves on a suit jacket and the length of dress pants for us. We were worried that altering the sleeves would look weird because the sleeves had buttons on them, but we can't even tell it was altered. He got them back to us extremely fast and he is very reasonably priced. His shop is easy to find and there is street parking. Highly recommend. read more

My expectations were a bit high because of the positive reviews I read, and the high pricing. I figured I'm paying for quality service. I went to Tony the Tailor to replace a broken zipper on a dress. Price: $35.00. Length of time before I would get it back: a week and a half, but because I needed it rushed he was able to have it ready in a week. I was told that I would get a call, but I didn't, so I called an hour before close. I was told it wasn't ready, but that it would be done before close. I picked it up, and unfortunately the new zipper was not sewed on straight :/ Will I go back again? Not likely. I also didn't like his unfriendly attitude, then again... it could've just been bad days that I caught him in. My advice... do your research if you want reliable service, and less pricey charges for fixes and alterations. Sorry I haven't explored enough to give any additional recommendations. read more
