The best local tuxedo rental shop in town! Mission Tuxedos is where I had rented the outfit for my senior prom, and I've also come here for two weddings I was in. It's been in the same location for decades and while the parking lot is small, it's centrally located with great road visibility. The shop consists of a single room flanked by a few dressing rooms. It's bright and very clean. They offer a good selection of tuxedos to rent, along with different tiers of pricing and quality. I've found the staff here to be very helpful and friendly - a pleasure to work with. They take pride in their work and it shows. My measurement and fitting appointments were conducted in a professional manner. So I'm echoing everyone else. 5 Stars all the way across. Been coming here whenever I needed a Tux, probably about 7-8 times and Never had a problem. 2018 NYEve, I looked Good! Lots of compliments. Here's what I think gets overlooked sometimes, the Quality of these rentals. It's Nice stuff, never poor quality or bad material or worse yet smelly. This is a owner ran business. John was so helpful, sweet and easy to converse with. He allowed us to bring our dog in the shop (in a dog purse). Kid friendly shop for ring bearers. Has its own parking lot. Price reflected the area (Santa Barbara). We wouldn't be back for two weeks, he did NOT charge us the daily fee over x amount of days. That was so sweet, he knew our plans and was flexible on his own accord. Lastly, we asked if we would be in trouble if we jumped in the ocean with the suits, he said not at all unless they rip, salt water can be washed off! =awesome!! read more

Came in as a group of four not really knowing what we wanted, other than all an white tuxedo. We totally forgot about the vests, accessories and even the type of tuxedo. There was only one guy working there at the time, who I think was the owner, but gave us his full undivided attention even as phones were ringing and people were coming in to return suits. He gave us great recommendations and dealt with us in a very zippy and friendly manner that in no way felt rushed. Our measurements, trying of the suits, and checkout was a very smooth transaction. So in regards to customer service, it was an awesome experience. We got our full suit, vest, tie, pants, and shoes for 130 which I think is a perfectly fair price considering it comes with literally everything. Personally having never rented a tuxedo before, this was a great first experience for me and if I'm ever in the area again I'd gladly use this small business' services again and recommend it to friends. read more

Fitting only took 5 minutes. I was able to pick up the tux the next morning and it fit great. They even threw in a nice pocket square. I was worried it would be more expensive then corporate rental places and the rental was significantly less money. Great local business. read more

My husband and I recently had a destination wedding which tend to be stressful be it the long distance planning, finding vendors etc. I am genuinely happy to state that the one worry free decision we made was to hire the highly recommended Mission Tuxedos for all our grooms men tuxedo's and shoes. John and Jim are an absolute delight to work with and are rightfully so, renown in the area for what they do. The process was simple and quick and John was very knowledgeable with our options and captured exactly what we wanted. We had not one issue arise. In fact, when providing the grooms measurements, John was able to identify a measurement that was off and request the best man to reconfirm a measurement which circumvented an improper fit before it even happened! With a wide selection and large variety of name brands to choose from, their pricing is extremely competitive and customer service superior to the other tuxedo stores. We were very happy that Mission Tuxedos selection offered charcoal grey tuxedos because most stores don't and if they do their sizing's are limited. The tuxedo's were there as promised and in great condition, pressed and ready to go. To note, while we were confident that all would go smoothly, we were also assured that if there were any issues, they would be resolved in a very short turn around time which in itself is untouchable in the industry. The groomsmen were able to leave their tuxes at the hotel where they would be picked up which adds yet another level of extraordinary customer service. Now if only they sold wedding gowns.... In summary, statistically, we had our wedding in the second most popular month; August, which also happens to be considered a high season in Santa Barbara California.....yet you wouldn't know it because John and Jim handle every transaction professionally, timely and with such a personable friendly demeanor.
