This is an overdue review. Julie is an ANGEL in human physical therapist form. Her office space is clean and comfortable. Her bedside manner is attentive, knowledgeable, welcoming and "goal"-oriented (she wants you to get better asap!) I went to Julie for mysterious bladder symptoms in 2020 that I suspected were endometriosis symptoms. The various doctors were unable to relieve the symptoms or confirm the cause. Julie did both. Julie treated me for these endo symptoms. I had been experiencing extreme recurring bladder pain for about a year when I went to her. After 3-4 pelvic PT sessions, my bladder pain completely resolved. I did not experience pain for another 2 years, and that was because I went off birth control and my endo got worse. I went back to Julie 2022-2023 for endo symptoms (bladder, bowel and ovulation cramping pain) and infertility. Once again, Julie helped reduce my endo pain significantly. I believe our sessions also improved my body's state for getting pregnant. I have suffered from IC/painful bladder syndrome for a decade. I have been to 4 urologists and some of the treatments gave me some relief; however, they were only treating the symptoms. After my last botox treatment in June, my urologist brought up pelvic floor physical therapy to help with the pain and near-constant spasms. Most people don't know why someone would go see a pelvic floor therapist. They think it is simply a question of getting help with urinary incontinence. That is what I thought as well. I made an appointment with Julie, as she came highly recommended from my gynecologist. I found Julie to be interested, calming, reassuring and thorough in her preparation to work with me. She spent time explaining what she would be doing and going over my expectations. I find her to be compassionate, empathic and detailed. I went to Julie to solve a problem with lymphedema. She was helpful in so many ways, from teaching me about the condition and the lymph system, to lymph drainage massage technique, telling me where I could obtain compression garments, and training me to use compression bandages. I found Julie on Yelp and saw her for a postpartum check. She really listened to my issues and very thorough in explaining to me about how the pelvic muscles work. I came to Julie with PN issues amount others. She did an extensive evaluation and didn't work on the PN. I got extremely flared up in the following weeks and had to cancel appointments. I couldn't get into reschedule and the problem for out of control. She didn't have any advice for me on how to handle the problem. I ended up needing surgery and then had to cancel more appointments and could t get them rescheduled. She didn't have availability and seemed annoyed with me instead of interested in helping me heal. People rave to me about Julie, but when I went somewhere else, my issues were quick addressed and treated and now I am getting better. Julie is excellent! She is very gentle and listens carefully to restrictions in the body. The first session is a thorough evaluation of the abdomen, lower back, hips and pelvis with some treatment. Consequent sessions are mostly treatment. I highly recommend Julie for PF dysfunction. I had chronic hip and SIJ pain radiating down the leg. Despite the multitude of possibilities my pain could be from, Julie was very pragmatic and learned where my dysfunction originated. I had pain in my upper hamstring area that simply would not go away. I had done all kinds of stretches, yoga and even been to a physical therapist for it. I sat on ice bags for a few weeks.
