This year I waited too long to schedule where I usually go, so I went online to find another place and found Julie. She is a warm, friendly, and professional therapist. I love having my back worked on. Julie works on your back first, then does the rest of your body. This was a change from what I'm used to, but I liked it- I think it really relaxed me right off that bat to where I was more relaxed for the remainder of my massage. Massage was okay on a scale of 1-10 I rate as a 6. Great job setting up appointments & confirming on day of. I had a couple trouble muscle areas that I wanted highlighted & they weren't addressed. . I don't remember if staff asked if pressure was okay or not. Room was really warm & stuffy. At one point when staff left for 3-4 mins to heat up rice pillow (‍) the door was left open with no explanation. I was last appointment of the day & it felt impersonal. I didn't feel that I got any more attention as a first timer as one of regular monthly clients. Her service came highly rated so I called last Thursday to get an appointment as I recently broke my shoulder and really needed a good massage. Julie was very fast to reply and she wrote she was booked until today, Tuesday, 4+ days later. She made it very clear that she took cash only which was fine and after a few messages back and forth the appointment was locked and confirmed. She was very prompt and thorough and verified I knew the location and time and the payment in cash requirement. I did and all was fine. Last night (memorial day holiday) she texted me giving me 2 hours to reconfirm the appointment once again and that if I didn't reply within 2 hours she was going to give my slot to other people. I replied with 4 hours but that was outside her warning period so she gave away my appointment. I texted back that I would accept the delay until Friday (now 8 days since my first contact) and that she needed to accept that this was really confirmed and there would be no other last minute cancellations again. She replied that she understood and wished me well to find another massage therapist in the area. This is not the way to treat a new customer nor is asking for so many reconfirmations nor proactively cancelling appointments that were confirmed several times already.
