I've been getting my eyebrows threading for about 3 years. Used to driving to the south side, I…read morewas happy to try a walk-in location closer to home, even if it was more than I usually pay. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. I went on a Monday evening, and waited for about 10 minutes. There was only 1 lady working at the time. She had me sit in a chair while she finished another customer's brows. It was a little uncomfortable sitting in the mall with people staring as they walked by, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with for a good shape. When it was my turn, I was not asked anything regarding my goals - clean-up existing shape or did I want some more sculpting? Granted, I thought that after 3 years of consistent threading she would be able to see my pretty clear shape and what was new growth. Apparently not. It seemed to take twice as long as my eyebrows usually take for threading, and only after she presented the mirror did I find out why - half of my existing shape and eyebrows were gone. To add insult to injury, my left brow had an indent where she had evidently slipped. It appears that, in order to correct the gouge in the left, she took even more off. So my right eyebrow is visibly thicker than the left. The end result - uneven, pencil thin eyebrows, one with a gouge in it, and neither with the arch that I've so spent 3 years having perfected. When I said "Oh, you took a lot off" she said nothing and shuttled me to the register to pay. At that point, she couldn't give me my brows back, so I paid and left, and will not return.

She also asks periodically if I like what I see and if there's anything wrong to tell her. I'm a quiet person and I don't usually talk during appointments and Emily didn't pressure me into having a conversation with her. The place is clean and very organized. Everyone is friendly and I can tell that the other customers are regulars. Highly recommend this place and booking with Emily!!!

I love my regular nail salon in St. Albert - but I really needed to find something closer to home…read more There are two nail salons within very close proximity to each other. The other one, when you go to their website, it tells you to message them to book an appointment. So i did that and never received a response. Turns out that was for the best though. Next on the list to try was Virgo. They have a great online booking system. Although, I messed up somehow and instead of booking 3 of us for services at the same time, the system thought I was booking myself for 3 services back to back. Once I realized the error I called the salon and they fixed it for me right away. 2 of us got shellac manicures and my boyfriend got a pedicure. We were all really happy with our services. My manicure was done by Emily and she was wonderfully thorough. I also loved how encouraging she was. I was bummed because my nails are short and brittle and she just kept reassuring me that we can get them healthier. She was also very patient with me when I changed my mind on the colour I wanted. I'm already excited to go part!

The massage therapist is AWESOME. He is one of the few people who have been able to solve my problem areas AND he has figured out the cause of my chronic knee pain! The guy is a freaking miracle worker. Cupping and hot stone are included for free, and your appointment time is never cut short, unlike some of the other establishments nearby (I'm looking at you, Massage Addict). They have monthly specials that range from microdermabrasion to massages. Massages are cheaper when purchased as a package of 3 or 5. Credit cards accepted. Direct billing available. Ample free parking. Free wifi.

Yelled at by manager, spa doesn't honour Groupon terms and conditions…read more I had an expired Groupon for this spa so I phoned them to see what their policies were. They said for an upgrade fee I could book the service I had purchased the Groupon for. I went to my Appt and was rudely told they would not Honour the value of my Groupon. The terms and conditions via Groupon are that the dollar value of your Groupon never expires and that the merchant is liable to honour it! So was basically scammed for $39, when I could have easily become a regular customer. The manager didn't respond well to me explaining their obligation in the terms and conditions, so she began yelling at me. Awful experience!
