    Adorable Easter cookies

My man is a fried pie connoisseur, we have traveled to get a pie or to check out a bakery in hopes a scoring a pie. Julie's fried pies are delish. He prefers a stronger flavor in the cherry filling but the rest of the pie is top notch. I bought a box of Easter cookies while we were there. Adorable

Good morning! I just want to let Mrs. Julie, know that the babay shower cookies were a hit as ALWAYS! Every party we have, Julies cookie are on the dessert table. As a matter of fact, they are so cute they could be used as decoration! Oh, and of course they are DELICIOUS!

Ordered my wedding cake from Julie's and everyone loved it! I wanted something rustic and simple. Top layer was my daughter's choice of cookies and cream; bottom layer was Italian cream. Both delicious!

As a former employee, please don't eat here. I observed unethical practices as well as hygiene nightmares. We were forced to sell customers plastic bits instead of throw away contaminated icing or the buckets that would peel. I saw roaches and a dead mouse and brought it to Julies attention and she literally doesn't care, I think she actually got mad at me. Mold was literally making me sick while I was here please steer clear.

Hulk cake that had an edible image that wasn't big enough for the cake

Edit...I spoke with the owner and she is refunding my money and apologized. She has 5 decorators and will speak with them regarding this cake. Original review: I ordered a 1/4 sheet cake for my son's birthday party. I told them I wanted a Hulk cake and I thought they would have some examples or some cake kits since they are a bakery. They didn't so I asked if maybe I could have a cupcake cake with Hulk's face. The worker who was taking my order had to keep going back to someone in the back of the bakery, I guess the decorator and came back and said she couldn't do that but could do a edible image. I said I wanted whipped icing. She said the image properly wouldn't work on that so I said buttercream was fine. When I picked it up, I guess they couldn't print an image big enough for the cake, so they airbrushed the rest of the cake and put an ugly book boarder around the image. There's some kinda of pink below Hulk's pants which I didn't think Hulk was a pink kinda guy. I've attached pictures. The only reason I didn't give the bakery 1 star is because I ordered their smiley face cookies as my son wanted also which are amazing. My total was $60 so I probably paid $50 for this ugly cake. The take away is really check your order before leaving.

Notice the ratio of cake to icing. The cake isn't even as thick as the knife. I've never been given a cake with such little cake.

Cake is all icing, barely any cake! This use to be my favorite place to buy our birthday cakes and cookies. Not anymore. After my order yesterday, I won't be using Julie's again. I ordered a small cake and 6 cookies. It's cost over $50. I've never complained about the price before, but I was given adequate cake and well designed items. The birthday cake barely had any cake! There was more icing than there was cake. My issue wasn't the amount of icing, it was the LACK OF CAKE. Had the cake been the thickness it normally is and should have been, the icing would have been appropriate. The cake wasn't even as thick as the knife I cut it with. The ratio of icing to cake was ridiculous. There was more icing than cake. Everyone commented at the party that there wasn't any cake! All of the cakes I've bought there in the past had 2-3 times that amount of cake, so I have something to compare it to! Please see my attached picture. I've never had a cake with those proportions. It was as If they had sliced the cake in half before frosting it and only left the bottom portion. The icing was gross. It had a heavy sickening taste. Most of the people at our party scraped it off. We've never had to do that before. Buttercream icing is the only icing I've ever ordered from there. I love buttercream frosting and have had Julie's before, and it didn't bother me. This time it was gross. The cookies tasted ok, but it took two people to identify that three of the cookies were rabbits (Easter cookies). They were done so sloppy that I was embarrassed to put them out. They didn't need to be elaborately done, they needed to be shaped correctly and frosted appropriately. There didn't seem to be any care put on them at all. Just a blob dipped in icing. I've ordered other "simple" cookies from them before and they looked professionally done. The eggs were ok, although they looked more like circles than eggs. I'm giving them two stars after getting a response from the business because I use to love them and expected more from the business than trying to make it seem like it was somehow my fault for the disappointing product. I know what I ordered and should have been given better quality for the amount I paid. I'm the most upset by the incredibly ridiculous lack of cake. Guess that's a way for them to cut corners. You don't realize they cheated you on cake till you get home and cut it. My last review was 5 stars. I wasn't super impressed last time I ordered and said I wouldn't use them again, but still gave them another chance. I will definitely go somewhere else for my next cake. So will the 12 customers that were at my party. Very disappointing. For $50+ I would expect better. Please support a different bakery. There are others that give better quality and quantity, and apologize when they mess up, not say the customer didn't know what they were ordering. I don't like being insulted or taken advantage of. Go somewhere else.

The 10 inch cake we asked for succulents on. My husband called it the Shrek cake. The cookies and cream tasted like blueberries.

I used to be a huge fan of the smiley face cookies but they have nothing on the AMAZING chocolate chunk cookies they have.

Oh, good Lord! *insert hard eye roll*…read more Shipley's no longer lives here! I pulled up to the drive thru, checked in on Yelp, and had to do a double take when I saw that all the Shipley's signage had been replaced by "Shimmery Donut" signs. (If you aren't paying attention, you'll miss it as it looks almost identical to the original, stylistically speaking.) Was I tempted to immediately burn rubber and drive away? -- YES! But, I decided to give them the ol' college try AFTER discussing 2 major concerns with the girl working the drive thru window. Me: Ok, my eyes aren't deceiving me and this is no longer a Shipley's location, correct? She: Correct. We switched names about 6 months ago. Me: K! Me: But what about the product, has it been salvaged? She: Yes, it's the same. Me: ok, PERFECT! (Crisis averted!) But, the crisis was NOT averted at all! I ordered my donut-ty breakfast usual: One dozen original glazed donut holes and an ice water. (lol) Of the 12, I could only stomach two. How in the heck are the donuts not fresh, pillowy, and amazing at 7:27 in the morning? -- It's friggin' 7:27AM for Pete's sake! If they're stale at 7:27am, there's definitely no hope for donut lovers visiting at 8:30, 9, or 10AM! -- Just save your money, don't even bother. And you dare not take them to work for your colleagues. (Sorry, my doughnut standards are high!) That's not the Shipley's way at all. Shimmery is cutting major corners, y'all... and to their detriment. Staleness aside, they didn't even taste the same, and I cannot. 10 hours later, the 10 remaining donut holes are currently still sitting in my car. (I'll trash them once I get over my disgust!) Funny thing is, I couldn't even pawn them off on the hubs-- and he'll usually try anything I offer. But, he's a smart man and he knew there was a problem because I always buy a limited quantity and I NEVER offer donut holes. (especially not Shipley's) He usually has to wrangle the bag out of my hand! Le sigh. So, there went that! As the saying goes... "Fool me once, shame on you!" Shimmery, you got me this morning! I was trying to continue to support local, but now you've forced my hand and you'll find me over at Krispy Kreme for my donut fix-- when (and only when) the "hot sign" is on! Fact: Shipley's is greater than Shimmery.

Stopped by for a couple of donuts and was very impressed. The donuts were larger and had more…read morefilling than most other donut shops. My only regret is that I don't live in the area.
