Had my baby shower here and highly recommend whether just coming for pastry's or to have an event here. They rent out their rooms and cater. They also did all set up and clean up. The food was soo good! We had fruit cups, chicken salad sandwiches, turkey bacon wraps, pumpkin soup, mini cupcakes, and a chocolate with raspberries mousse type shooter. What a GEM! Not only is it the cutest and most welcoming environment, but the staff treated us with great care and the sweetest smiles. Live 40 minutes away. Did an online order for an hour ahead so I would have plenty of time to get there and make sure my order was ready. Not one to cut in line even if it's an online order. Not fair to anyone else that has been waiting. So I stood in line and waited my turn. And I ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes. Finally get up to tell them my order. The First Lady that asked my name did apologize for me waiting. And was trying to get me taken care of. Another older woman then stepped into help. Ended up getting told that not only was my order not even started being packed up, but that there would be 10 minutes left on cinnamon rolls. Went back to my car for over 15 minutes to make sure it was going to be ready. When I went in, the same girl that told me it would be 10 more minutes after my already 20 minute wait after the scheduled pick up time brought out my food. She told me that they were 2 short of my muffins so she just replaced them with scones. Honestly was pretty bent out of shape already, because my order wasn't ready an hour and a half after I placed it. But there was ZERO communication on their part. I didn't receive a text, call, email, nothing saying they were behind. I was asked if I wanted anything extra for my troubles. I declined because I honestly did not want anything else. Was asked if I wanted a refund which I said yes. More than once. And offered a $25 gift card. And I declined multiple times.. told them basically "quite honestly will probably not be back because I have waited 40 minutes past my hour ahead pickup time and I not only had to wait longer, but my order was not fulfilled either". She took my order back, took the scones out of the box. Gave me the gift card anyway. But did not refund my order for two missing items. And I was told that basically the reason my order was not ready was because someone must have not been handling online orders and I placed my order during their rush. Honestly, I am a very understanding person. As long as the communication is there. Communication is literally key. I get being busy and meal time rushes, but being told that not only the rest of my order is done, and they were just waiting on one item. Then got told they didn't have enough of what I ordered.. this is a favorite place for my dad's work. I have never had them personally, and then was told that the muffins tasted old and stale.... I feel like there is such a wall built between front of house and back of house. And there is zero communication between what they have and what they are out of. I heard more than once "we are basically out of everything". This was said before 1030 and they are open until 2. Very disappointed and have been left feeling beyond frustrated. read more

Such a cute little shop. The employees were very welcoming and everyone wore a mask. The place was very clean. The food was overall delicious. The mini cinnamon roll was really good, my only issue is the large cinnamon roll was a little dry on outer edges but moist and soft in the center. I would probably just get the mini cinnamon roll next time. Yummy. No fancy coffee--don't expect a latte or flavored coffee. I had the hot tea. The menu had hot chocolate but they didn't have any. This was my first time dining in their new location. I came at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning. Upon walking in, I was hit with the heavenly smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls. I was hungry, so I opted for something more heavy. I chose the biscuit and gravy, coffee, and cinnamon roll. Let's start with the biscuit and gravy. Comes with a nice and rich sausage gravy, delicious! The biscuit itself was very good, though it did seem to break apart easier than some other more "fluffy" biscuits I have had. This was just to give insight to the texture. Flavor was spot on! As far as the cinnamon roll, very tasty as well. Not overly iced--not drowned in icing, which I liked. This cinnamon roll was more "bread-y" than usual rolls I have had, which again was simply different, still absolutely delicious and worth trying. I will definitely be back. I'd heard there was a good eatery out on Loop Rd, but instantly forgot about it, until someone posted about it on social media. So hubby and I trekked out there (really not far from home) on a rainy Saturday morning. The parking lot looked very full, so we opted for the drive-through. So nice to have someone come out and take our order and fill it so efficiently, but I felt bad for her in that heavy rain. Since we had heard about the cinnamon rolls and didn't know how large they might be, we opted for a six-pack of minis. What a great introduction that was to The Humble Crumb! Even the minis are large enough we could only eat one each at a time. I can't wait to go back and try items people have reviewed here! Maybe inside next time.
