Julius Katz & Sons is an amazing shop located in Disney's California Adventure on Buena Vista Street. Once you walk onto Buena Vista Street, which has a quaint 1920s era Los Angeles feel, you'll see Julius Katz & Sons on the right side of Buena Vista next to Trolley Treats. From both the exterior and interior designs are like the local, small town, destination for shopping and discovering something unique. Once you get in, I think one of the best things about Julius Katz & Sons is that it combines the old school charm of Disney with the practicality of your everyday lifestyle stuff. There are tons of T-shirts and pins, etc., to collect, but it's also where you can go to buy Disney stuff for your house, like decorations, kitchen gadgets, plates, cups, aprons, towels, and all sorts of seasonal treats that could easily fit right in on your own shelves. I think one of my favorites is how they take that same storytelling and weave it into almost every aspect of this store. The store is based on Julius the cat, the lead in the Alice Comedies! I really enjoy how this store ties into all of Buena Vista Street. Since it is located so close to other locations such as Trolley Treats and Kingswell Camera Shop, I will sometimes go into this store after getting a snack from Trolley Treats or after shopping around the area. More times than I can count, I have left this store with a little seasonal decoration or a fun pin that has some way captured the excitement of that trip. This is another stop on Buena Vista Street that even if you weren't planning on shopping there, you're happy you stopped by! During one of my last visits over the Holidays, My family and I ended up getting the Magic Key Lanyard for the Sip and Savor Pass at the Disney's California Adventure Park for the Disney Festival of Holidays! We also bought a few kitchen items that were on sale during the Holidays. Service is fantastic at this shop too! read more

I visited this store several times while in the park. Honestly, it was one of my first stops and definitely my last stop before heading out of the park for the nights. When we had already gone on a few rides we decided to come back this way to get a locker and then stop in here. Sole purpose of that stop was to purchase one of the bands as to not drain my phone as fast when entering rides. At the time of my visit it was during Pride month and I grabbed myself a Pride themed band. The ladies in here were really sweet and helpful. Checking out was quick. But that wasn't the end of my purchasing items here. Much later in our day and near the park closing time, we ended up back here. While my friends went into other stores I came back in here to purchase some souvenirs to take home to the littles. I try to get them a t-shirt from each area I have visited. Disneyland was no different. I browsed and browsed, mixing and matching colors to take with me. Each kiddo got a Mickey shirt in varying colors and I grabbed a Mickey sweatshirt (I have yet to have worn it). Ended up purchasing more than I intended, but it was worth it. Checking out this time was much more fun. I actually had a chance to speak with the lady ringing out my items. We chatted and she learned it was my first visit here. I had no idea they did this, but they give you a pin that you can write your name on to keep for free if it is your first visit. read more

They have a TON of adorable things!!!! This store is amazing! It might be one of my favorite stores at Disneyland California Adventure Park! I swear they have the cutest stuff! Lots of Jack Skellington/ Nightmare Before Christmas. Annnnnd they have two sections for doggos!!!!!!!! Freakin so adorable. I wanted to buy it all lol I ended up getting a shirt and dog toy. After a couple of months of use of the magic band, it broke. Anyone who has bought one knows how pricey it is. I initially went to the guest services to see if they could help. The person at first tried and could get it to connect. Unblinking and then linking and it just wouldn't assign it to the proper person on my account. She brought another person over to help and the conclusion was the watch was just not functional anymore. I asked if she could replace it since we only used it a couple of times. Her empathy was just so insincere. I was just blown away and it was not the Disney customer service I was used to. Disappointed at this experience, I went to the store Julius Katz and sons to buy another magic band. The clerk behind the counter heard of my dismay and immediately took care of the matter. It made up for the ugly experience I had and made my day so much brighter. My family couldn't be more grateful for this Disney cast member superhero! I thank her a million times over. This store is one of our favorites at Disney California Adventure. Although known for its great selection of pins, Julius Katz & Sons also has a nice selection of home decor and cute novelty items. We noticed the huge selection of Disney's 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration items the moment we walked into the store. There are lots of fun dishes, blankets, frames, toys, and other collectibles with their anniversary theme. There's also a pretty extensive collection of Disney Vinylmation figurines and frames here. There are plenty of towels, toys, mugs, lanyards, messenger bags, totes, kitchen items, and dinnerware throughout the store as well! This store also tends to be quiet which is nice when you want to get out of the DCA crowds! The employees are helpful and there always are fun selection of novelty items when we're here! read more

My favorite store inside of Disney's California Adventure. They have a fantastic selection of pins and usually have a pin board and a Cast Member or two geared up to trade with you. I've encountered some of the more personality-gifted CMs here and have had enjoyable shopping experiences inside. There's also a dedicated Vinylmation section that's bigger than some of the stores inside of Disneyland Park. The retro design and storefront are huge plusses. For fans of pressed coins, look around and you'll find at least 2 or 3 machines inside Katz & Sons. There's also a sizable home goods section, seasonal item area, and a photo shop. read more

Like the previous review, this is my favorite shop in California Adventure. It is similar to The Emporium across the way, in Disneyland. Just minus the large crowds! I absolutely adore the vintage store front and old Hollywood design, it definitely adds to the feel of the shop. This particular shop is located on Buena Vista, just before the fountain, between Mortimer's Market and Trolley Treats. I love this store because they have several pin board locations and CM's out with lanyards, ready to trade. I collect and trade pins, so I'm always popping in here! They also have TONS of Vinylmation figurines, including some that I can't seem to find in other stores. I love the princess ones and the special edition ones that catch my eye! Anyhow, right now as it is the holidays, mostly everything is jazzed up for that specifically, which I adore because I love Christmas so I'm stocking up on household goodies for our summer move! Who doesn't love a Disney home :) they also have the most Penny Press Coin machines inside, I believe 3-4? Those are always fun for the littles, my nephew has to have every single one with Mickey or a Cars character. They have a few presses at each machine, so you've got plenty of options. I mentioned home goods because they've got the cutest selection of home goods and kitchenware! Dish towels, mugs, wine glasses, plates, wine stoppers, etc etc! There's a TON, and they have plenty of seasonal items as well. From jingle bell character busts, Mickey ear hats designed to represent various Disney characters, cute high heels showcasing various female Disney favorites and of course the traditional glass balls with pixie dust and Mickey ear designs in glitter. They even added a furbaby section too! So now your babies have cute princess bow collars or dapper vests for when you want them to look fancy. There is also a photo shop, and plenty of artwork to purchase as well. Oh, and they have beach towels! One of the only places to get them in fact, is here. Or at the hotel gift shops but that's it :) Honestly, I love this shop, it's not crowded, there's always tons of items to stop in and look at, and it's just so cute. Plus, you can catch the Bell Ringers performance if you're inside shopping! Check Julius Katz out while you're visiting DCA, you won't be sorry. read more

The store is very well stocked and clean, and the cast members are always very friendly. My cashier was Tiffany, and I was surprised to hear that she was new here. She was knowledgeable, fast and smiled a lot. It's a little pricey, but that's to be expected at Disney. If you're at California Adventure, stop in and look around. A lot of cool stuff. read more
