I thought this place was fabulous. I stopped by for a quick lunch on a drive to Chicago. They have…read morea housemade strawberry lemonade which was delicious, not overly sweet and garnished beautifully. I got the country fried steak skillet with hashbrowns, two fried eggs and a pancake. The country fried steak was cooked perfectly with a salty gravy with hearty meat chunks that complimented it well. The hashbrowns were crispy and served in a massive portion. The pancake was surprisingly good. This does not taste like a frozen pancake nor even a box mix. It had flavor without syrup which was nice to notice before I drowned it in syrup. Price was fair especially for the portion size. I had leftovers. They do share a building with a gas station which is a bit interesting. I was able to seat myself where I liked. This is an old school diner still doing things the right way. I might have to go here on my way back home!

The restaurant is a decent size, and there's plenty of parking available. Overall, the food is delicious! The only issue was with the Reuben. The corned beef was cut very thick, even though we had confirmed we wanted it thin-sliced. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and we had a very enjoyable experience.

We sat down and waited a considerable amount of time for our drinks. 10 minutes maybe. When we got our order in, it took about an hour to come out. Our waiter told us pretty much as we got our food that there was a wait because a big party decided to order a lot of food. I do not think it is fair to make a two top wait as long as what seemed to be a ten-twelve top to get their food. Those people were comfortable and (really loud...) and happy to sit and chat while my partner and I were already itching to leave thirty minutes in due to the noise... we got our food and luckily it was good and we wanted to order more but truly we decided it was not worth the wait due to all the people and fear of having a wait again. We promptly asked for the check so we can leave and go to Culver's. I would have appreciated a heads up about the wait as soon as they figured it would be a while. Not a minute before we received our food. I get that things run behind but they didn't look short on servers based on the space. Someone should have told us a lot sooner. And the noise, man... there's a point where you gotta tell people to quiet down.

The bar area that we walked through seemed like a great place to gather and enjoy a cold beverage. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp and she said it was some of the best she has had in a long time. I ordered the t-bone steak and it was cooked the way I ordered it and came with a lot of Montreal steak season on it but it did taste just fine. Our server kept the kids drinks full as well as our beers full. Before we left we got to meet the owners and both of them where very nice and shared some information about their great smoked meats they're so proud of. We will be back to try this out as we don' t live too far away.

Love the Round-A-Bout! The restaurant is a nice and cozy north woods restaurant/bar. The owners and…read moretheir family are always great bartenders. The food is a step up from the typical "bar" food you find in the north woods. The pulled pork is wonderful (sandwich and nachos). Cheese curds come with two dipping sauces, ranch and chipotle-ranch choices. The broasted chicken is my favorite in the area, but not served on Fridays. Fridays they have a fish fry. They have a dining area that is separate from the bar area, both serve drinks and food. The restaurant is clean and there is a good atmosphere. We will be back.
