This is a review for a birthday party! We had a fantastic experience planning a birthday party for my son at JumpinJax. Shannon was fantastic to work with to iron out all the details and answered every question we had. Marleen was our day of person and she was great. All decor and set up was ready when we arrived and they set out all the birthday treats for us. This facility is a perfect birthday spot if your group ranges from babies to about 8 years old. We had a handful of tiny tots and mostly kids between 5-6 and it was perfect. Everyone had a great time and I saw staff actively walking around cleaning up the place and making sure to contain the chaos and look out for kids safety. It's definitely not a cheap place to have a kids party, but it was definitely worth it. My only negative feedback would be that the parking lot is tight and got crowded fast. A lot of our guest had to circle for a spot. The second feedback would be that they could definitely benefit from getting a better caterer. The pizza was pretty disappointing even by a kids standard and they all went for the fruit and veggie plates originally got for the adults. Otherwise it was great! We have been here twice- once for a birthday party and once for open gym. This place has a ton to do for your preschool aged kids - playspaces, ball pit, huge slides, pretend grocery store, legos, dress up area, dance area. Went here for a kids birthday party and it was a good time. What was nice about the place is that it has a section for kids 2 and under to run around and play in. Most places dont have that, so the fact they had that is a great move on their end. A lot of different areas for kids to play in so that they can have the time of their lives. My children have attended a few parties here. The space is nice, and there are a variety of activities for the children. There is smaller kids play area, a dress up area, a climbing area, and some slides. My children who are 4 & 2 used all the areas. I was here for birthday parties. So we were directed into another room for cake, and pizza. As a teacher myself I didn't really like that classroom that are used for schooling purpose were also used for party room. I understand why they do this, but I don't know how I feel about it. I'd definitely still come here again in the future. read more

Brought my LO (20 months) on a late weekday afternoon. The place was quiet but it looked preciously ransacked. Unlike other indoor playgrounds, there wasn't anyone who was regularly helping to clean up and organize the areas. It also wasn't the cleanest of indoor playgrounds I've been to, but certainly the largest. For the price, it's a decent option to visit on a very hot or rainy day. read more

While this place had potential it is so severely understaffed that it has become a more of a pain than it's worth. At check in, expect to pay $50+ (they now add 4% for credit cards), and they never seem to have my waiver so I sign a new one at each and every visit. Once you enter the play area there is rarely if ever ANY staff overseeing, or cleaning, or managing ANY part of the facility. During my visit today alone, there were toys everywhere, old crusty food everywhere, broken bathrooms (literally a hole from one bathroom stall that opens to another stall!), broken ride on toys, and on and on. If you can find someone at reception to ask for assistance, there is no chance they will come help. It's incredibly frustrating. After an hour and a half of my kids playing today, a manager came over to my party to reprimand us for having some outside food on our table. We spent $30 on JumpinJax food and somehow THIS was where management wanted to step in and enforce the rules. For a $50 entry fee I would hope management would fix the equipment, clean up regularly, and have at least one (non-preschool) staff walking the play area at all times. read more

If I could rate this business 0 stars I would. They charged us for two hrs of play but kicked us out after one. They didn't notify us before we decided to play there that they were going to have a private party and charged me 25 dollars. When I asked to be refunded they would not give me a refund. Also, half their toys do not work, and the food is terrible. read more

I just recently had to take my child out of this place. The kids are constantly sick and I'm hearing a lot of kids don't wash their hands so the germs are everywhere... Please do yourself a favor and look for a safer, and cleaner, place !!! go read more

Really cute space for kids to pay and run around. The slides are really steep and I don't recommend for younger kids. The price is steep at $18/kid but for 2 hours of fun it's worth it. Remember to bring socks for your little one and yourself. read more

I brought my two children to JumpinJaxKids two or three times, everytime on a Saturday, and each time they enjoyed themselves. The parents that come here appear to know one another from various activities or schools that their children attend; they are attentive of their children; and the staff appear to be attentive and on top of tidying up. I would say it's on the pricier side, but they place is clean and set up nicely. There is a parking lot that is shared with ENA Gymnastics and Crunch Gym. read more

Went last week with my 3yr old son and4 yr old niece. Paid $15 per child and $2 for myself for 2 hrs. We have been here before and have enjoyed ourselves-when my son is happy-I'm happy so yea, both of us have enjoyed. This visit however, was unfortunate and disappointing. The main reason my son enjoys this place is because of the slides. Unfortunately as soon as he went down the slide he bumped his head HARD at the end of the slide because he slid down so fast and towards the bottom his head went back and hence, the hard bang and noise from his head hitting the slide. One Of the staff members saw what happened, ran to us and seemed concerned. He was kind and said that he went down the slide very fast because of his clothing. (My son wore jogging pants) staff recommended jeans for the next visit. So we had just arrived, my son is hysterical and scared of the slides-usually his favorite part/and well, extremely saddened. We didn't leave because I felt bad I had another child with me. Had it been just myself and my son, we would have left. So even though my niece had no problem down the slide because she had jeans, she did not go back down the slides without my son. Kids played in other areas but it was definitely not the same. About 35 minutes before our 2 hrs was up, I convinced my son to go down the slide again on my lap this time assuring him that I would hold him the entire time. Why did I do that???? I had thick tights on a thick jean shirt that covered my bottom therefore thinking there would be enough friction. I WAS UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY WRONG! We slid so damn fast that we went eventually turned sideways down the slide (my son and I, he sitting on my lap). My knees rubbed down the borders of the slide (slide ripped knee part of my pants on both sides/knees). Even though I held onto my son he still got hurt. Quite a few people noticed and came running as well as the same employee from earlier. Well I ended up having 4 bruises. Knees, elbow and ankle. The staff member came with a first aide kit because my knee was bleeding and hurt like hell. Yes, believe it or not, from a measly kids slide! My gripe and disappointment is not from my son and I getting hurt. I am just shocked and appalled by the extreme lack of customer service towards my exit. I spoke to the front desk staff member about my experience and she kindly admitted that the establishment is planning on getting sacks so that individuals can easily and safely go down the slides because people always get hurt. She was super sweet and got a manager for me. The manager, Caroline, I think? What a face on her! She seemed annoyed or bothered that I was explaining what happened to us and just stared. No apology, no surprising face, etc. I asked kindly if there was any way that I could possibly have a comp for just 1 kid for another visit because none of the kids were able to use the slides during this visit. She rudely said no. Asked to see my wristband and cut it off immediately as if I was going to try o go back in or stay longer! I was totally shocked and disgusted! People get hurt. It happens and I NEVER ask for comps for anything but I figured I would just ASK. I DID not expect rudeness and unprofessionalism. If you come here--PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear jeans! Im afraid that kids and adults can really get hurt if something is not done to correct this!! I will post a picture of one of my knees that got scraped (skin came off) and after at least 10 minutes of bleeding. My pants got damaged And my knees still hurt after almost 4 days. This place is fun. When you walk in it's very colorful, so you could imagine the happiness your child will have when they walk in. 4 areas to play, 1 rock climbing wall and a slide obstacle course and a cafe for snacks and treats. 9 flat screen TV wall with a dancing game and you can watch yourself on the tv. If you could, go on the weekdays so that your kids can enjoy the entire area. Weekends are crazy busy with parties and kids and parents. It's a 2 hour playtime limit at $15 for my son. $2 per parent. Granted they only need about 1.5-2 hours of play before he started to get bored. They give you wrist bands that has the time you checked in. That rainbow slide of death needs to be cautioned. My husband went on with my son, and at the end slammed right to the ground. Another father slid down and turned to his side and hit his head :( I almost thought he was going to tumble down. Ive been bringing kids here for years , as a nanny . The children have a fun time and thats what's most important . However, it's become disappointing for me for a couple of reasons ... First, there are now very few choices of costumes for the dress up section and they are the same ones I've been seeing for years now,...the little girl dresses are torn and in poor condition . j It would be nice if ownership showed a little more regard for its customer base and added a few more options for both boys and girls. Came here On a week day afternoon with a friend and her daughter. The color and aesthetic is very inviting and the kids they're all seem to enjoy all the different things they offer. There were the slides thanks to climb a Lego section and dancing and much more. The one thing that did seem a bit weird was the mixing of outside patrons and the kids that are there for pre-K. A couple times there were kids that seemed upset and were crying... as an outsider a few people would look around for their parents not realizing they were kids that attending preschool there. What a great place ! Upon entrance I was in awe of the colors, space and cleanliness of the venue. I came here for my friends daughters birthday party. Initially parking was a problem, the lot was full and the street was busy also but after doing a few laps i found a parking space. My children and I were greeted and i noticed most people were in socks but was unsure if the rule was for adults also( it was). My 8 year old i felt was a bit old for the space but had a great time helping his 3 year old brother play. The space was set up nicely and was a dream for a child, and plenty of sitting space for the adults to sit and watch the kids play ( unless they were very young and needed a parent at all times). I appreciated that the attractions allowed the adult to assist and be with the child. The vibrant colors were great and seems like even on a rainy snowy day it would be a great time. My visit then spilled into a private room ( classroom ) setting where we had cake and pizza. I did not know this place was a preschool and it was so freakin cool. The moms had a great time. I think it felt good knowing your kid was in a clean, safe space where you could watch them have fun and sit and relax. Will ABSOLUTELY suggest this for those with small children. read more

My almost 3 year old liked this place. We went on a Sunday morning and there was also a birthday party going on. It was not over crowded but plenty of kids running around. Pros -huge slides that my lo eventually loved (he was scared the first couple of times) -I did c staff cleaning the play area -the place is pretty big (not huge but a decent size) -price seems decent Cons -some parts of the play area that is not accessible to customers had a lot of dust (I guess it would b nice to c less dust as it was a lil gross) -some broken items (the train was out but didn't work, one foot latch on the horse was broken, etc). Not all the ball guns worked well. -my son did not care for the costumes or market area We will return but will also check out others as well. Would absolutely NOT recommend this daycare center. My child was bitten twice on his back and I was not notified. This happened on Monday, 5/10. I brought my child home to discover the bite marks (see photos) - I immediately called to speak with the Director and was told "nothing happened." She then called the teachers to inquire. She called me back and again stated "nothing happened today." I then asked her to review the tapes (they have cameras on the grounds, but parents cannot access the footage). She then said "that would be very difficult because we have no idea what time of day this happened or where it even happened." THAT is exactly the problem. My child was in their care for 10 hours that day and they have NO IDEA how he sustained these injuries. He was bitten. Twice. On his back. And NO ONE noticed. NO ONE tended to my child. NO ONE corrected the child that did the biting. Till this day my child still has bruises on his back. Ultimately, I pulled him from the center because it was clear that the Director completely missed the point. It is now Monday, 5/17 and I still have not been told who bit my child or under what circumstances. I wouldn't recommend anyone send their child to this place. Paramus has a TON of daycare centers. Go elsewhere. Other negatives to consider: 1. Young & Inexperienced Teachers: The infant room lacks experienced childcare givers and seems to have a high turnover rate. My child was there for six months and the infant room had two teachers leave. 2. Lack of Supervision: My child was fed another child's food on one occasion that I know of because they sent back the unfinished meal. I can't help but wonder how many other times that happened. And also, what if my child had a food allergy? 3. Unsanitary/unhygienic procedures: My child has come home wearing another child's socks, without his breast milk (it was often left behind at the center by the teachers), and with another child's belongings on several occasions. One time we received another child's crib sheet, another time it was another child's food containers/utensils. Again, would NOT recommend anyone with children under 2 years old send their kid(s) to this center. read more

I can't say enough about this place and it's staff! I hosted my son's 1st birthday party here and everything was perfect! I've hosted so many birthday parties and this was by far the best experience for my family and I. We had an exclusive party, which of course is pricey but absolutely worth it in my opinion. From minute 1, the staff was so helpful and although I didn't expect this level of attention to detail, I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I walked into a party room that was all set up for us, matching our theme perfectly and decorated so well (not sparsely like you'd find at other party venues). Balloon centerpieces on each children's table and 4 large balloon bouquets at the cake table. I came in ready to use a bunch of my decorations but did not end up needing most of it bc the staff already had things covered. The playroom is so spacious and there are activities for all ages. The parents were able to eat by the cafe and there's more than enough seating for guests while simultaneously supervising our children. Our guests were so happy with the space and everyone had a great time. We had about 85guests (children and adults). This venue is also so clean which I loved! The staff is always wearing gloves when they are anywhere near food, hand sanitizer for all the kids before entering the party room.... the bathrooms are kept spotless. This place is dangerous! There is a really tall slide that should be removed. Of course every kid wants to go down the big shiny slide, that is until they almost break their neck or bust their head open going down. I have no idea how they have not shut this place down yet. My 4 year old niece went down the slide and the last bump going down, she practically flew before she hit her head on the landing. I actually sat there for 2 hours and watched it happen to 20 other kids while taking care of my niece, until I started warning the parents. The regular play area is cool. There are clothes which kids can put on to play dress up and a large selection of toys to play with. I would have totally given this place 5 stars if they didn't have that death trap. I just could not in good conscience encourage other parents to go here knowing that their kid could be injured while playing. read more

My kids have an amazing time there. They are having fun, they are safe and they are running around in a contained environment getting lots of exercise! The gym is so clean! I made sure I watched for that! It is very impressive how clean it is kept for all the action that is there. At the cafe area is many things to chose from. Cafe is a nice spacious area where you can see your kids but they cannot 'escape' passed you (Unless your nose is in your computer). Staff is friendly, helpful and eager to please. After reading some poor reviews, i was hesitant to check this place out... But on a rainy day with a energy filled child, I decided to check it out. I got there at exactly 10am when it opened so there were only a few kids there. I bought the 2 hours , because honestly i didn't think that he would even be entertained that long. I had to buy myself socks because I didn't realize I would need to take my shoes off... My son loved every area and was so entertained. It was definitely the best $20 I've ever spent and he was exhausted by the end of the day! By the time we were leaving (12pm) it was definitely WAY more crowded... I was actually hesitant to come here mainly because of the pricey admission ($15 for kids ages 2-17 and parents $2 for 2hrs) and since I had two kids just the admission alone would be $32, but after going and seeing my kids ages 4 and 2 enjoy the place I can't say they both didnt have a great time. The two hours spent there, both my kids were able to enjoy variety of play options such as big slides, dress up play, kitchen and market play, train rides, lego section and even the infant and toddler section for children with younger siblings. However, while everything is great I wish they had more staff to watch to supervise the children coming down the slides and watch over children on the metal train tracks. The slides are pretty steep for young kids and some kids even had burns or hurt themselves on the way down and the metal train tracks are definitely dangerous if there isnt a parent to supervise the children and can easily hurt themselves. I mean the environment is very kid-friendly with colorful sectionals and decor throughout but regarding safety aspect of the place, i would try to keep an eye out for your child more than so. read more

Here's what I like: - the giant slides - the ball area - the infant area - the grocery area - giant dance screen - the food is tasty - employees are great What I don't like: - costume area (pointless, waste of space) - Lego area (pointless, waste of space) Replace these pointless sections with train set, pretend baby nursery, light brights, trampolines, ball pit, etc. the list is endless, but please get rid of the LEGO and costume room! read more

My wife and I and our 2 kids have been here twice for birthday parties. Both parties for our daughters friends, but our son was also invited. Never having been here before it was fairly easy to get to. The entrance could be a little confusing, as it looks like a one-way going the opposite way you are. It's not, after a circle around the block we learned that. Once parked we get the munchkins out of the car and go inside. The kids and adults must remove their shoes, which are placed in plastic containers until the party is over and you're ready to leave. The kids get wristbands, which I'm assuming change colors after the 2hr allotted time of the party so kids can't stay and play all day. Once inside it's a free for all. We release them, and off they go. From a kitchen and dollhouse play area, to a slide, a ball pit, a rock wall, and so much more. For smaller children you have to keep an eye on them cause they could climb up to the slide or get turned around underneath the slide which leads to maze to the top. Everything is well padded and protected from someone banging their head or any other body part. Most adults can follow their kids thru the mazes and to the slide, there is enough space to accommodate an adult. Our son is a little wild so it was my job to watch him like a hawk. There is much he could get into, just had to keep track of him. After play time the kids and parents are escorted into a classroom. Yes this does also serves as a school during the weekdays. Kids and parents are given hand sanitizer by the staff who are BTW are very helpful and professional, to kill any germs acquired during play time. Now it's food and cake time. They do supply food through a caterer. Pizza, sandwiches, chicken fingers, juice, soda etc. parents can decorate the tables and chairs with table clothes, balloons, favors. No outside food is allowed, other than the Birthday cake. Also they have a small cafe that sells coffee, teas, and juices. Each room has closed doors which is good for some of the kids who are runners, like our son. First time we attended a party here he was in an empty classroom going through the books. Needless to say after that it was pure lap time. The kids both time definitely seemed to enjoy themselves, if I was them I would. Over an hr of playtime and food/cake how can you go wrong? Once the food and cake time is over there's only 1 way out, which is great as the kids won't be tempted to try and re-enter the play area. Grab your and the kids shoes from the bin, put them on say your goodbyes and your out. Exiting is easier than entering, which for all of us is a good thing. Time to head home now, with a couple of hopefully tired kids! read more

I've gone to this place since it opened in June 2015. I like that this place is so spacious and there is so much to do. They have big slides (please be careful with younger kids), nerf ball shooting area, rock climbing, a dress-up area, legos, play kitchen, a toddler area, and a big screen where you can dance along to the wii music videos. For the first two years, I struggled with coming here cause they were slightly rude about allowing my kids with food allergies to bring their own food. In the last year, the staff seems to be better trained and more friendly and I haven't had a problem with bringing my own food. I usually buy some food from their cafe. The cafe seating is spacious and great for parents to hang out. read more

If you're looking for a different play place to occupy the kiddos it fits the bill. Kinda pricy ($20 for 2 hours with one kid). Seemed to be clean and airy. Lots of options, a toddler area with little kid stuff, Legos, dress up, coloring, and huge climbing structures. I probably should've read the reviews before I came with a friend. The commenters calling it the "rainbow slide of death" are spot on. Luckily my little one isn't old enough to want to go on that. Other safety risks I noticed were the giant humidity plugged in in the toddler area, and uncovered outlets (please correct me if they're the safety ones). The American Gladiator air gun thing is deafeningly loud and takes over the entire place when it's on. read more

WOW!! We just had our sons 3rd birthday here and everything was beyond amazing. The place itself was beautiful, very clean, and so much fun for all the kids at the party ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. Even the adults had a blast!! The staff were FANTASTIC!!!!! Everything was set up perfectly and they were so great with the kids and took care of everything to make the party run smoothly. There is NO clear signage when you pay about the cost of play. It's $15 for 2 hours, but $20 for the whole day. It was my first time there, and I thought we were only going to stay for the 2 hours and then go out for lunch. We wound up having lunch there, and then played a bit more. So we wound up staying there another 2 hours. When it came time to check out, I fully expected to pay for the extra time. But instead of just charging you the extra $5 you would have paid up front for the whole day, they charged me $5 PER HOUR! I'm sorry but that's a rip-off in my opinion, especially after I spent an additional $18 to eat lunch in THEIR facility. I wouldn't go there again for the fact that the manager refused to budge over my $5 complaint. So they will not see anymore of my money in the future. Poor customer service imho. AND, on a side note, just because it's a large play area doesn't mean you shouldn't supervise your own kids. There were so many young kids left to play on their own without anyone watching them, it's terrible. There are so many opportunities at a place like that to teach a kid how to behave in public and to learn to share, and it goes to waste. At the end of the day, my son had fun, but the staff could use some better customer service training. read more

It has an area for 2 and under and the rest has slides, climbing, a ball area, etc. There is also a large screen with music and dancing that the kids can follow. Plus, a lego area, dress up area, and grocery store area to play pretend. Plus, there is one air hockey table and a rock climbing wall. The wall costs an extra $5. I like that you only pay for kids. It was $18 for my daughter to play. We played together 2.5 hours. She is 8 and had a great time. There is lots of staff walking around and available if needed.
