They have since changed management and upgraded some of the decorations, and the prices have changed - but, for the quality you receive, the prices feel worth it. I usually get a 60 min combo massage with cupping, on a monthly basis. This, plus tip, usually runs me $100. My mother and I came to get a back massage and as we got there Leo greeted us and invited us both into a room where we can be together to relax. He set up two buckets of hot water for our feet and gave us sheets to put over our body as we laid down. My mom got Leo and she told me he hit all the right pressure points! I went to get a massage today, and I've always had great experiences with this shop--the owner is really nice. But today was awful. The young lady massaging me is usually good, but for some reason, she decided to slack off. She was texting while massaging me. At first, I noticed her movements slowing down while she was working on my lower back, and then I felt her typing on her phone. I ignored it for a bit, but she kept switching sides, rotating her phone as she moved. Then, her phone slipped off my back and fell between my legs. Since I was lying on my stomach, I couldn't see what was happening. After that, she got way too comfortable--she actually paused the massage to start texting! At that point, I was done. I turned over and asked, "Are you seriously on your phone? You can't be texting while giving me a massage." First time visiting this Jun foot Massage. I found this place on Yelp and I needed a foot massage really bad. Being on my feet all day and due to COVID, I have not had a foot or any other part of my body rubbed in a long while. So I decided to give this place a chance. I called and a lady by the name of Nancy answered the phone and told me you can go now and someone can help you. Due to Father's day celebration, she said she is not at the business. She was at home. Told me 3 times for me to go and someone will take care of me. So I went. Now, the rest of my review has a different approach/outlook at my masseuse Jessie. The minute I walked in she made me feel so anxious and uncomfortable with her anxious self, with her unpleasant attitude, behavior and approach. She RUSHED ME from the minute I walked in until the minute I walked out of this place. I was so excited that I found a new place that I could go and that Nancy gave me same day and time appointment. Jessie was good at her work. She rubbed/massaged my feet medium to rough and was very enjoyable. But only my FEET. I kept telling and showing her half of my leg(knee down) can you also do half of my leg? No response. I said 2 more times, but she was only doing my feet. Later with her broken English she made me understand that the 40 minute/$25 massage was only for my FEET. I wish I had known that before hand. I have been to other massage parlors that half of the leg was part of the deal with the feet. After she finished rubbing my feet, there was still 5 minutes left for my 40 min. to be up. She finished early. Right away she stood up and disappeared. I turned around to look for her and couldn't see her. Then, she came back looking at me like what am I still doing there? I said can I get cold water? With an attitude she walked away and got me the water with a tiny cup that I could only wet my tongue in it. Nice relaxing music in the background. Get rid of the TV. Even though it was on mute. News was on and that is what many people are trying to escape from. Especially trying to get a massage to relax. After I left the place, I was so frustrated, angry, and stressed out with this Jessie woman, I decided to call and talk to the owner even though she did not speak English. Luckly, Nancy's son Eddie picked up the phone and I told him everything that happened with their employee Jessie. He apologized like 10 times and invited me back reassuring that I will have a MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE next time. He also told me that they will have a talk with her.I am hopping she will come to her senses and have a better attitude and friendly approach next time I decide to go back. If she is not happy with her job, there are so many people these days that are looking for work. She will be replaced INSTANTLY. I do want to give them another chance. Don't give them your business. We had gift certificates given to us as a gift and we tried to redeem them and they wouldn't accept them. The gift certificates were valued at $120 and they refused to allow us to use them because they were bought under different ownership. The business has the same exact name and address as the gift certificate. Businesses like these should not sell gift certificates if they aren't going to honor them. This isn't just a massage where someone slathers some oil for a rubdown. These ACUPRESSURISTS work hard and have a SKILL. This is Acupressure, an ancient healthcare practice. And unlike in America, in MOST other countries, healthcare is part of a life style, accessible to all. And this compassion and generosity, by Chinese foot massages, is reflected in their LOW prices. Many even have discounts for senior citizens. So when you get a full body massage for 25 dollars, be prepared to include a real tip. They're putting all their weight into it, are remedying things you don't even know about (ie: when their rubbing your big toe their working out kinks in your neck? ) A soft tissue massage at Burke Williams, (just rubbing your oil) is $145. Any chiropractic visit is a minimum of $50 per 15 minutes! And even the use mostly machines now so they dont have to touch your nasty skin and hair. So grow up and stop slapping these hardworking guys in the face (who are making less than you do at MacDonalds) with your cheap ass tips. And for those of you who already know, if we compensate w bit more for these assholes, we're still getting off cheaper than ANY other type of massage in Los Angeles or the United States. I decided to give this place a try as it was recommended with a specific massage therapist. One of the things that are very important to me is cleanliness. Usually the overhead of a massage place is pretty low compared to other service based businesses. You need the oils/lotion, something for a client to lay on and CLEAN TOWELS/SHEETS. I noticed as I entered the room the lady pulled out a pillow with a towel on top from beneath the bed that was laying on the floor. I kindly asked her for a new towel and she went and got a new one. Well after the massage I noticed a strong scent on my body like body spray (I don't use any and plus I brought my own unscented oil for her to use) I immediately new they don't change their sheets after each use, YUCK! And While I was paying, the same sheet that was placed over my body to get massaged was being refolded for the next client to use, DISGUSTING! For crying out loud how many bodies did that sheet touched that day. I came out of there with my body reeking of strong male body spray that even after a shower I can still smell on me who knows what kind of bodily secretion was on those used sheets and towels.
