My regular therapist of 5 years just moved and so I've been testing out replacements. I'm glad I found this place. Easy to set up appointments, very sanitary and professional. Great attention to areas of concern. My therapist was Katy, I can't speak to the other therapists that work there. I did find it odd that they expect you to pay upfront. I recently was visiting the town near Meridian Idaho for the company I work for these past several years. Part of my job requires me to travel to visit the company customers. In the past company trips, I never had time to visit the areas. Except I did have some time this time to see some of the local area of Meridian. It is a beautiful area. This time, it was. a little different. I was feeling the aches and pain of traveling for the company, when I discovered the Bamboo Massage Spa located in Meridian. I called to make an appointment for a back massage. A receptionist greeted me when I arrived. I told her that my lower back needed treatment for my soreness. The receptionist went to see who was available. The receptionist took me to one of the rooms. The therapist asked what type of lower back pain did I have and did I know the cause? I told the therapist that the pain seems to be from the long airplane flights and setting in several meetings at different companies with the buyer representatives. I told her that I am a salesman for the company and I did a lot of traveling and setting in many meeting with potential business clients. Sorry for the long back grown story. But, important to give a little background and the results of my appointment. The massage appointment resulted in giving me a lot of relief from the lower back pain that I started with. The massage therapist was a trained in the art of healing. The Bamboo Spa was clean and quiet with music playing on the business speakers. Trust the 2 stars and go take your money and spend your time somewhere else. You have to pay up front and the lady had 2 moves, caressing and elbowing. No massage happened whatsoever. Absolutely do not go here. They make you pay up front which is weird. Now I know why. People are more likely to just tip when they pay. If you pay after you would not want to tip because the service is awful. The worst massage I have ever had, if you can even call it that. They just rub, wipe hands, push places with zero method or intent, like they are trying to rush through. Not calming at all. No conversation before about what we wanted or areas to focus on. We got a couples massage, one masseuse got a call and left the room in the middle, left the door cracked open, talked to each other, we could hear everyone coming in the front door. My masseuse kept flipping my towel to move it, zero accounting for modesty most masseuse places go by, I almost got up in the middle and said enough. Unfortunate. I called a week ago for a massage appointment and specifically asked if they massage pregnant women. They said "oh yes yes yes" and said "see you then" I said well don't I need an appointment time? They said "what time can you come" we agreed to Saturday 12:00-12:30....... I arrive at 12:15 and they say they are too full and cannot take me. Another women is called to speak with me and says that I'm pregnant and they cannot massage me, sorry. Having been dropped off by my husband I had to walk out and call him back to pick me up. What a waste of time. Bad communication. I'm really unhappy read more

The time, quality of massage and the overall experience dropped with each visit. They begin your hr as soon as they take your $ upfront, then take their time before entering the room. Who needs 5 minutes to remove clothes and lay down? One of 3 visits a dog continued to bark sporadically the entire visit, and the music CD skipped. Once finished, usually 5 minutes early, they jump in your face with a tiny cup of water and a mint as you exit the room. I've overheard other customers complaining as they arrived for their appt. only to have to wait like at a Dentist appt. I've never experienced the multiple oddities, outside noise and did I mention the multiple interruptions during your already shortened hour. read more

I'd give my experience a 3/10. I read only the first few reviews - that being good, I should've looked further down. They have you pay/ tip first- odd. I left 20% but it wasn't earned. I paid for a 45 minute massage. I got maybe 34-36 minutes? She walked out of the room 4 times. Her pace, way too fast, hard knuckles into my back, massaging up toward my neck, not away... really bummed I wasted money going here. Now, 8 hours later I have more pain than I started with and I would bet I'll be bruised tomorrow. Oh, and to second another review, no hot stones were used. The front door was also locked when I tried coming in and so I called and was humiliated by both 2 women speaking a language I can't understand, but I could tell what they were saying. This was a terrible experience! Asking me to pay first,tip too, was ridiculous! How can I tip on a service I haven't had yet so no tip up front from me. The massage was mediocre, never touched my feet. The sign in the lobby says hot stone massage but no stones were used, they said "next time " ! There will never be a next time! Terrible. They want you to pay up front... how can you leave a tip??? The lady was turned off by my $8 tip (I should not have left one at all because I'd not received any service) She then decided to look at her phone the entire time! How do I know? Well of course I was face down, but the entire massage was off because she'd start working an area and then stop, she's move the remaining had just a bit while she reached for something. I thought "No way she's messing with her phone." But sure enough, when she left the room to go get a towel to wipe me down... I am writing this for my wife. She was deeply hurt by the masseuse here. She has an adrenal condition where her stress response causes weight gain such that she could be mistaken for early pregnancy. She gets asked this question often, but usually with a simple "no I am not" the person apologizes and moves on. This lady looked at her in disbelief, called her supervisor and spoke in her language about her in front of her, the supervisor asked if she was pregnant, she answered "no" and the supervisor spoke in their language to the masseuse to tell her it was ok. The masseuse continued to stare at her abdomen with a shocking look of disgust, then asked her if she would be able to lay on "it". Of course she could, it is just extra weight which is not a "condition" to disclose before treatment. She had not slept for 3 days because of the adrenaline from stress, and was looking for a massage to help calm her system. (So she didn't leave, mostly because she didn't know that lady checking her in was also the masseuse.) The massage was nothing to write home about. She did not put a rolled towel under her ankles to keep blood from pulling and feet going numb. The pressure could have been increased. She also tried to up sale her on the 90 min session while she was giving her a massage. It really didn't warrant any tip. (Tips are for service above and beyond, not obligatory for doing the service paid for.) The masseuse asked for a tip and gave her the credit slip used to pay before service. My wife gave her $3. The masseuse scoffed at her and yelled something in her language. This place is not worth the money. If you want to be offended and treated badly for a mediocre massage, go for it. Tuesday, 8/31/2021, I was about to take a road trip and decided I could use a massage before heading out. June Massage Spa was able to take me on short notice. I read some of the reviews online beforehand, many good, some not so much, so wasn't sure what I would get. But I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really was. I selected their 1 hour body massage for $60, paid up front. The table was one of those that has a cutout for the face. They had some cushioning to make it comfortable. My masseuse worked my shoulders, arms, back, and legs, both front and back. A little stretching was thrown in on the arms a few times, but not the legs. My masseuse wore a mask but I was not required to. The actual massage lasted 55 minutes. There was a step-out for a minute a couple of times to get a hot towel to wipe off any excess oil. It would have been nicer if there had been towels heated right there in the room. After it was over and I was dressed, my masseuse was waiting for me with a tray holding a (very) small cup of water and my choice of hard candy. I decided my tip would be $20, partly because I didn't have change but mostly because they booked me on such short notice and did such a good job with the massage. I got the name of my masseuse, Lily, as I intend on returning. Next time I think I might try their 90 minute body massage. read more

One of the best massage places I have been too. I have been coming here for a couple years now with my wife and the service is amazing. The massage therapists here are sweet and kind. This is my go to place every time for me and my wife. I usually have knotted muscles in my shoulders and are always hard to get out but they take there time and knead out the knotted muscles and I feel relief every time I visit. The place is simple, calm, clean and quiet and just a lovely place to relax in. I recommend this place if you have serious knotted muscles cause they do what they can to help you with your aches and pains! We really like Heidi and Weiwei'a massage, highly recommended! read more

I walked out with more pain than when went in. Told the lady to take it easy because I was in a crash 6months ago and had multiple injuries one of them being multiple broken ribs so they are tender and she proceeded to what only describe as try to re brake them. Little did I know, she cut the session early. - After getting dressed, I calculated the stop time against the receipt timestamp and concluded that she shorted me by about five to six minutes. It appeared that the massage therapist was rushing near the end. - When I was about to leave, the massage therapist confronted me and demanded that I give her a tip repeatedly. I politely explained that she shorted me after I paid her for the full hour. She could not comprehend what I was telling her and engaged one of her colleagues. - Her colleague then demanded that I tip the massage therapist accordingly. I tried to explain the situation to her, but she also could not comprehend what I was saying. - After five minutes of going back and forth, the manager finally came out and asked me to leave. I bought a gift card last year for my anniversary and It was a mess. The lady that helped me didn't understand I wanted a gift card for 2 hours so she gave me two separate gift recipe cards for an hour each.. The language barrier was frustrating but I understand. My fiancé used the first one for an hour last year with no problems. Well, he tried to use it today and got told that we were fabricating the second gift card that the name of the lady who signed it didn't work there. They went on to ask for a copy of my bank statement from a year ago. I had found it and let her know when and how much I paid. After she left to go talk to the manager again they still didn't believe me. very upset with the services and WILL NOT go back or refer any of my friends. read more

I love this great place. Everything is so new and clean. I enjoyed the massage so much that I had to extend one more hour to focus on my lower back - it helped to sooth my back pain. Great Massage! I have been to almost everywhere in town and this was definately in my top pics for massage. Love that they are open 7 days a week and late hours as well. Not sure what the other reviewer was so uptight about, tables were great, had a hole for your face and actually softer than any I have been on before. If I could have gave this HORRIBLE massage business zero stars I would have. We scheduled an appointment for three of us. I'm going to skip the part of getting into the room etc. The part I was pissed about was when I was on my stomach the masseuse touched my butt and said "ohh you have a big one ". I do have a big butt but I don't need to be shamed for it! I recently had a knee replacement and she was really hurting me when she was massaging it. I asked her to do it softer and she just laughed and went to a different part of my body. After we were out my daughter told me that her masseuse was rubbing oil on her inner thighs and said "do you see this? Do you see this? Not good". We paid our bill and left no tip due to the poor service and fat shaming. We were walking back to our car when the owner came running out and got in our faces about not leaving a tip. She was shouting " these girls work hard for you and you don't tip? Do you tip when you go out to dinner?" We went back in because she wouldn't gI've us a receipt and the owner bullied us about the tip. Our friend was having a panic attack and ended up giving her a $20 tip. Before I knew it she had run her card and that was that. If you feel like getting body shamed and getting bullied into giving a tip for a HORRIBLE massage this is the place for you. Please take my advice and check out another massage parlor before you even consider this place. read more

They make you pay BEFORE your massage. I should have taken that as a clear sign that my experience would go downhill from there. The massage "therapist" left me completely uncovered for the entire massage and kept leaving the room to talk to someone and at one point, stood in the doorway talking with the door halfway open! Then when I went to leave (trying to get out of there as fast a possible) she asked if I was going to Tip! This place is a nightmare, don't go. read more

I visited this place and had a very similar experience to Natalie D. It was very weird to say the least. I was pretty sure this lady had never had any formal training in massage therapy. She basically moved her forearms along my back rubbing some weird smelling oil on me. She also left me completely exposed when she left the room, leaving the door open so she could take a phone calls, get supplies and talk to someone else. And yes she climbed on the table straddling by back. There was no relaxing at all, the only thing I could think was could I grab my clothes and make it to my car without being seen by other people that may be outside. I am 100% sure I was violate during this process. I couldn't even stay for the whole massage and told her to cut it short. I felt so gross after. I'd never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I will not return to this establishment. First of all, I am someone who frequently gets massages. I just relocated back to the area and saw the few good reviews of this place and figured that I would try it. When you walk through the front door, there is a LOUD doorbell sound DING DONG DING DONG that is unbelievable! Really? For a massage establishment to have that loud noise every time a customer walks through the door is insane! Massage establishments are supposed to be quiet and tranquil. In addition, there was a cell phone on the floor outside of the room that I was in and the text message notification continually went off from the time I walked through the door until I left. I believe it belonged to the massage therapist who performed my mediocre massage. If I have to tell you more than 2 - 3 times that I want medium pressure and you continually apply a deep tissue massage approach, there is a problem! I also paid for a 30 minute foot massage of which in this place is simply an extension of the massage. Very disappointing! Typical foot massage places have reclining chairs to sit in and soak your feet...this is not the typical foot massage. Also, the massage table did not have the typical heat rest where there is an opening while one is lying face down...I could barely breathe as there was barely any oxygen! The rooms are very warm and the walls are paper thin. There are no towel warmers in the rooms either which is typical so the massage therapist walks out not saying anything which cuts into the massage time! She clearly went to get hot towels from another area. I also made an appointment specifying that I wanted a 60 minute massage and 30 minute foot massage...the woman at the front charges me for a 30 minute massage and 30 minute foot massage after telling her twice over what I wanted. I gave one star but would have given a zero if that were an option. I have a feeling the woman giving my massage had no training at all. She took three phone calls during the massage, left the door open when she told me to get back into my clothes and went in and out of the room during the massage to get things (leaving me exposed with a towel barely big enough to fit over my body). Those weren't even the worst parts. She actually climbed up on the massage table twice putting her feet beside me and straddling my body and then massaging ‍. The weirdest experience I've ever had getting a massage!! I don't even have the words to describe how strange it was and NOT relaxing or therapeutic. I only stayed because she had me pay up front. YES, that should have been the first red flag. At a couple points during the massage I almost started laughing because the longer she went the more bazaar it was and I couldn't help but think someone from the show Impractical Jokers was going to pop out and tell me I was being pranked. I could go on and on about how every bit of it was just wrong and not just technically . I went there for a quick foot massage and felt a bit violated. The girl had me sign my credit card while I was already undressed which was a bit uncomfortable trying to stay covered while I sat up to sign. But on top of that, while I was signing, she put both her arms on my head, rested her head on my head, and whispered "you're so pretty." I was very uncomfortable for the rest of the massage. When she did my back, my arms were out way out to the side so I had massive side boob the whole time. She spent way too long on my butt- and I don't mean the normal top muscles of the butt that is normal for a massage- but the blanket was down way to my quads. I finally pulled the blanket up past my butt and asked her to just do my back. When I left she gave me the receipt to sign AGAIN so I could fill in the tip which I had missed in my original discomfort. I sort of understand that but then she leaned her head INCHES from the receipt as I signed, no exaggeration. The whole thing was extremely uncomfortable and I would not go back there read more
