We decided to rent a pontoon while planning our trip to June lake. The website was informative and easy to use. Upon arrival at our scheduled time, we had no issue l checking in. The staff were kind and welcoming. We had forgotten a water bowl for our dogs and they were kind enough to provide us with a paper bowl. The gentleman that gave us the pontoon operation tutorial was nice and funny. He gave clear instructions (no wake in the lake, no faster than 10 mph). He was very friendly to our dogs! Our time on the lake was very fun and relaxing! We did a few laps throughout and just hung out. We had lunch and relaxed. We found half day to be the perfect amount of time, given that we were not fishing. I would definitely recommend renting a pontoon or other boat if you are in the area.

The staff at June Lake Marina were nice and efficient, and it really is a beautiful lake. However, a few things could be better, namely: - Pontoon boats should have ladders so users can swim in the lake and easy get back on board. But right now none of their boats are equipped with ladders, which makes swimming next to impossible. - Pontoon boats should have stereos but they don't. - Currently pontoon rental windows are for 5 hours in the afternoon. Most people would be hard pressed to spend 5 hours on a boat in a lake that small. Luckily, boat rentals are fairly affordable ($200 for a pontoon) with no added gas charge. However, there is a $12 online booking fee. Not sure if this is waived if you book via phone.

This review is for the shower only. You buy the shower tokens at the store ($3 for 3 minutes). The ladies working at the register were friendly and helpful. There are only 2 single occupancy showers but only 1 was working at the time, so there was a long line in the afternoon. The showers were decently clean given so many people had been using them. The shower pressure was fine, as was the water temperature.

There boats are nice. Everything is so relaxing

Had a great time. The ladies that run the convenience store / boat rental place are awesome. They helped us get a nice boat and we did appreciate their help. The gentle giant who runs the boat part is very accommodating explaining the boat to us. Definitely a nice place. FYI, they just restocked the lake with several types of fish.

I have been coming here ever since I was 4 years old. Nothing has changed too much except for the fact that they have more boats and paddleboards. Fishing is still great and have always had good fishing. My only gripe is that the trout seem to be of the smaller caliber. But knock on wood I have yet to be skunked here. Pros: The lake is very clean, crystal clear water. Beautiful lake surrounded by mountains Lake is always stocked with trout Cons: Not sure if this is a con but majority of the trout we catch are pretty small. Maybe I should up the game and start trolling or find new spots. Again not really a con but It's probably best if you rent a boat, shore fishing seems a bit more complicated than other lakes. Overall: Highly recommend fishing here. The lake itself is so beautiful especially if you rent a boat. Fishing is always consistently great.

Boat 35 was absolutely filthy when we got it

Been going there for 40 years in a row. This is the best marina in all of the Eastern Sierras. Perfect owners and crew.

If you keep a boat at the marina or spend a lot of time on the water, it's a convenient stop and the staff is always helpful. For anyone mooring a boat here, the marina is well maintained and makes getting on and off the lake easy. Several boaters I've talked to have had positive experiences with the docks and marina services, and it's a great home base for weekends on the water. One tip: get to the Edison parking area early on busy days because it fills up fast, often by 10:00 AM. Such a fun lake only about an hour from Fresno. Love coming here to fish, relax, and spend the day on the water.

We rented a pontoon boat and had a very disappointing experience. The first employee who gave us…read morethe instructions was unprofessional and did not properly explain how to operate the boat. We were never told that the motor had an issue with lowering, which left us stranded trying to figure it out ourselves. At approximately 1:08 p.m. on July 11, we had to call for assistance because we couldn't lower the motor. It wasn't until we called that someone finally explained how to lower it. We also requested a different boat, but were told that this was "the best out of their broken boats" and that it was all they had available. That information should have been disclosed before we rented the boat. We requested a refund due to receiving a boat with known issues, but were told the manager was unavailable and no one could help us. Renting out equipment with known problems without informing customers, then refusing to resolve the issue, is unacceptable. We expected a safe, fully functional boat and honest communication, but received neither.
