I am so sad to write a negative review because I had heard such great things about June and I do think she's clearly an expert at what she does but I wanted to share my experience. I brought in my wedding dress to get altered, mostly just concerned about the length because it fit everywhere else how I expected it to. When I tried it on for June, she pointed out some places she felt could be tighter to emphasize my figure better. When I went back for the second fitting, I was immediately concerned because I could no longer zip the dress up by myself and needed assistance whereas before I could fit into it fine (and I had been losing weight slowly for the wedding so if anything it should have been looser). I expressed my concern that it was too tight in the back and that it was digging into my skin, but she told me it was necessary to keep the bust in the front tighter and blamed it on the dress company not making the back more elastic. She was definitely right that the front looked much better after her alterations but looking at the back made me feel like I looked like I was a sausage in casing with little bits of fat spilling over. I wanted to trust her judgment so I didn't say anything more after that, and that was definitely my fault. I know she would've loosened it if I had pushed instead of just saying I was worried about how tight it was. When I went back for my third fitting, the dress was still tight and I was feeling disappointed. I mentioned my concern to her while we were looking at the dress, but she brushed it off again. While I was changing out of the dress though, she told me completely unsolicited about a "diet" plan and that I could just drink beef broth for three days before my wedding to shed a few pounds and it would be more comfortable. I was completely taken aback by this because I'm a 110 pounds with not a lot of weight to lose at all and I found that to be an inappropriate thing to say to a customer, to comment on their weight and suggest they should do something so drastic to fix something that she had stated multiple times she didn't see as a problem. I also don't think she shortened the underneath of the dress enough - I had so much trouble walking up the aisle because my shoes kept getting caught in my dress and it was incredibly embarrassing. I was wearing shoes with lots of small rhinestones and I've recently learned those types of shoes can cause the bottom to catch so this could definitely be my own fault and not June's. But I did wear these shoes to every appointment with her and if she, as a professional in this field, was aware my shoes would be a problem, I would've appreciated a heads up. I loved my wedding and had an incredible time and this was the only thing I had a negative experience with. But having a problem with my wedding dress made me feel bad about myself and self conscious on what should be an entirely celebratory day. read more

June's is a lifesaver!!! I was in a wedding and the bridal shop sold me a dress that, despite the measurements they took, was waaay too small! I brought the dress to June's knowing that I would need them to work a miracle by making the dress fit but also doing it in a short window of time! Ms. June altered our oldest daughters dress for her recent Dutchtown Highschool Prom. We purchased the dress from David's Bridal and they could not guarantee that the alterations would be complete in time. I simply googled alterations near me and called Ms. June. Best decision ever! She was extremely professional, meticulous and kind. She had to hem my daughters dress and take in and reshape the top of the dress. This was no simple feat being that the way the dress was made, the beading and off the shoulder top portion had hidden access that Ms. June had to work with. She worked us into her schedule even though her shop and calendar were packed with dresses and appointments. She finished the dress on schedule, the day before the prom, despite all the the extra work she had to do once she got started on the dress. She was less expensive then David's Bridal quoted and she got it done in 2 weeks! We will definitely use her services for all of our sewing needs!!! read more
