I had tried counseling before but it never really worked for me, that is, until I went here. The waiting room staff was incredibly friendly, warm and helpful - every week, without fail. They always greeted me with a smile and a wave, knew my name, and made me feel welcomed and wanted, unlike other places where the front desk can be brisk and aloof. They worked with my insurance and were always helpful and communicative should an issue ever arise. My therapist, Kevin, was the first counselor I had ever been able to build rapport with. He was supportive and encouraging, yet not afraid to challenge me and directly address the things that were causing me distress. Over the two years he worked with me, he offered me resources to help me understand myself better and work towards healing, gave prayer and spiritual encouragement, and even worked with my community to help us come up with strategies to make me successful in my life and career. I always felt respected, heard, and equipped after each session. When we reached the end of our time together, Kevin networked to help find the best suited and experienced counselor to help me take the next step forward in my life. He does not return phone calls within a reasonable period of time, the firm is deceptive in their billing practices as well. When someone is walking through a dark time in their lives or is in crisis, this is not the person to see. I cannot speak to the other therapists within the practice. If you are without an insurance plan the rate is $100.00 no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Do yourself a favor and find another person to work with who stands by their mission statement and has a heart. If I could have given no stars I would have.
