My brother and I visited Jungle Adventures for my birthday recently and had a great time. It's such an authentic and classic Florida experience. They have so many different animals to spend time viewing and feeding. The types of animals you will get to see are turtles, a lynx, a Florida panther, goats, raccoon, birds, tortoises, lemur, macaque, obviously alligators of all sizes and more. We attended the show hosted and guided by Alex who was very informative and great at her job. She brought out various animals for us to hold and pet while talking about each one and the ability to answer any questions that came her way. We got to experience animals up close and personal that we would never have the opportunity to outside of being in the wild. Alex also led the alligator feeding show with the same level of professionalism and intellect as the indoor animal show. I highly recommend watching the gator feeding, they can get about half their huge bodies out of the water and they know their given names. In addition to the animal shows, Alex also led the boat tour. Absolutely get on the water and cruise around, don't sweat which side of the boat to sit on because you will get to experience both sides of the shoreline during the cruise. There is also a jungle nature trail to walk through that takes you through a real Florida swamp where you will see gators up close in their natural habitat and other animals like frogs, lizards and anything else that may exist in that environment. Becca at the front register was very sweet and helpful and was even willing to go out of her way to snap a few photos of us on my phone when we asked her to. The gift shop has tons of stuff to purchase as a souvenir and they also have drinks and snacks as well as an indoor seating area to cool off if it gets too hot out. I was on vacation in Florida, visiting from California. We wanted to see alligators and was only catching glimpses of baby alligators while we were out and about. We came here so we could see full size alligators and learned that we weren't seeing the bigger ones out because it was too hot out and they prefer to hang out at the bottom of swamps to stay cooler. I saw so many large alligators here! They have about 200 of them here. We got to see them getting fed and learned how smart they are. I loved our guide who made our experience here that much better. He was very funny and informative. He took us on a boat ride and he also gave us the option to hold a baby alligators and a tarantula. I held the baby alligator but opted out of holding the tarantula even though she seemed very nice. read more

We came here on a Saturday morning at 10:30. I want to give them a great rating, because they didn't have a lot of clients and probably need it. But there were too many negatives I can't overlook. The facility is nice. They have some cool animals and I LOVE you can feed some of them. The first show they have was great!! We didn't go see the indigenous show because my teens were not interested... although I would have liked to go to it. I enjoyed walking through the paths... they made you feel like you were in the true wetlands of Florida. The feeding the big gators was cool and I enjoyed the boat ride. However, the canopy was missing on the boat and the sun was burning my scalp. I had to put my hood on. They should fix the canopy. Joe was the guy who did the animal show and took us on the tour on the boat. He is the shinning light in this gloomy place. He was knowledgeable, friendly and happy. I put a tip in the box, and I hope he doesn't have to share it, because he is the only one who deserved it. Now, the rest of the staff was not. When we first walked in, no one greeted us. There were two people talking and they never broke their conversation to say hello or welcome. I finally walked up to the pay area and spoke to them. The lady who checked us in wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly either. But then when we left the checkin area, every other staff member we encountered were mad or sad or just unhappy. They didn't say hi... they didn't smile, or anything. Even when I spoke to one lady telling her an incident that happened with the baby gator feeding... I was hoping she'd offer advice, but she just sat there, but never responded. Not one word. Oh, wait, one lady did say hello... when she was smoking. Like why is your staff smoking right at the entrance to the facility (when you pass through the gift shop and enter the "jungle")?? It smelled so bad walking past the smoking area. Why even have one??? I come to your facility to get the nature experience and your staff are polluting the nature experience. It's just gross. I get it's an addiction and people need to take a break and smoke... but put it away from the clients behind the building or in an area we can't go. And if your clients want to smoke, they can go out into the parking lot. Maybe the owner smokes and that's why they made it so convenient for smokers and disregards the non-smokers who have to walk through it. It just seems so backwards to have a beautiful nature experience ruined with a smoking area, especially right when you walk in. Between the rude employees and smoking area, I just can't recommend this place to anyone. Joe is the only reason I gave 3 stars. He is the only thing making the place enjoyable, so don't ever lose him. read more

If you ask the common man what they think of with the equation: Florida + Touristy + Gators = X, most will say that "X" is Gatorland. However, just northeast of Gatorland, is a smaller "red-headed stepchild" of the same ilk in tourist attraction in Christmas, FL: Jungle Adventures. Located on the northside of East Colonial Drive in between Orlando and Titusville, Jungle Adventures is an iconic and historic tourist attraction doted as one of the first "zoos" here in Florida. Beckoning tourists by entering the mouth of Swampy, the "World's Largest Gator," Jungle Adventures (which I will shorthand to JA for the remainder of the review) is a nice albeit simple and small tourist attraction for those who want to step outside of the tourist bubble. However, JA is definitely a place I would like to call, a one-and-done visit. Though it is good and cute in its quaintness, I cannot justify choosing this over others given what you get compared to how much you pay. JA is one of the "unique" tourist attractions of Christmas, FL that helps make the super-small town stand out, outside of its name. It is a small-ish zoo of some sorts that houses a variety of animals, has a nature walkway, an Ais Native American village (replica), and a pantoon boat tour on the green river. My dad and I went here because he got tickets for my birthday, and for what it is, not too bad. We got to see many animals, got to hold some as well especially the hedgehog, and learned much about the culture of the time, especially the Ais Natives. Things I learned because of JA: 1. The Spaniards talked about the "Lizard People" in Florida because Ais would wear the gator hides and look like upright lizards. 2. Ais were ingenious with the land in capturing gators. They used small channels to lure gators as if they were in a tight channel, they could not turn, and they would shove a huge tree trunk into the gator's mouth. It can't bite if its mouth is full right? Overall, it was a good visit, but it is a good visit that as I said earlier, is one-and-done. For starters, all the animals are in smallish animal pods or cages. It doesn't look like they have the room to be moving about like they would like to. The Florida Panther definitely didn't look like they were doing much in their shelter... and it seemed the panther was all alone. A lot of the shows are informative, more so compared to others in other zoos, but overall, Gatorland has shows that are on a higher spectacle with the room and setup to perform such, such as their Jumparoo show. Finally, the price of entry is about the same as Gatorland. Given that fact, I cannot justify as a whole on what Gatorland has, to pick JA over it unless 1.) you live north and don't want to drive any further south for Gatorland or 2.) you just want to visit JA for novelty sake. In the end, I am happy I got a chance to visit JA. As mentioned earlier, I enjoyed my visit and learned much. Too bad it will most-likely not keep up with Gatorland unless they get a huge financial boost to improve. But on the conservation side of things, they are doing amazing with what they have and what they are able to do. For my initial visit, I am giving JA three out of four stars. I cannot say I will ever be back for a second visit, but my initial visit was satisfying for what my dad pay (which was what I was going to pay soloing this place) and what JA has to offer. I even got more pressed pennies made for my pressed penny collection. NOTE: For those who are into geocaching, Jungle Adventures is one of the locations in the Christmas, FL Adventure Lab. read more

DON'T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE OF EMPATHY TOWARDS ANIMALS Not sure why this place has so many good reviews, it blows my mind.This place has very unethical conditions for these animals. A lone Florida Panther and a lone Lynx living in a tiny cage on concrete with barely any access to grass. Two random wolves in a small cage. Macaws literally biting the top of the chain link fence to get out of their tiny cage they're confined to. Two random goats in a small cage. One monkey sitting by itself in the corner of another small cage. A couple of lemurs also in a small cage that you couldn't get close enough to even get a good look at them. Too many "enclosures" with smaller alligators stacked on top of each other confined to a small concrete block with barely any water, basically a puddle. If you have any sense of empathy for animals, you do not want to come here. The wood bridge that went around the swamp water was rotting and had a lot of uneven parts. Peeling paint, just overall very rundown. They tried to feed the gators for us, but they were all just sunbathing, so one of the workers started jabbing the gators with a wood stick to get them to move into the water for the sake of trying to entertain us. Even the lady at the register to pay was very unfriendly. Overall, it is a very small area, and you finish walking around in less than 10 minutes (without the boat ride) with a $32 admission! Biggest waste of money. Do not give this place your money. This place needs to close for the sake of these poor animals. read more

Old Florida at it's best. This is NOT Gatorland but it is the most authentic Florida place I have been to in a long while. Two friends that had visited this site recommended it to me. It is located on SR 50 to the west of I95 by about 9 miles and just before Christmas, Fl. It does not have a lot of parking but has a very large concrete alligator across the front entrance. To enter you go around the large alligator statue mouth and into the gift shop. The staff was very friendly throughout the visit. The entrance prices range from $18-34 with lots of discount opportunities. Tickets include a nature explanation/show, an Native American show and tell, gator feeding and boat ride. They run groups through these 4 items in order so I would suggest staying with your group. The Kilted Conservationist was really knowledgeable and made sure everyone got their questions answered through all 4 parts. He was fun and the experience was very educational and enjoyable. There are lots of alligators of all sizes. There is a walkway that goes around the main enclosure. Be on the lookout for the panther, turtle, lynx and emus. Be careful of your footing as the wood planks are not all even and could be a trip hazard for some. I thought it was a wonderful experience and would recommend it to those that want a truly unique experience where they can hold an alligator or snake and see natural Florida. read more

Had an awesome time here. 5/18/2025 We were able to walk around and see so many gators it's incredible. Reptile Ryan is the best!! He performs multiple presentations and they are very informative and have interactions for the kids. The kids absolutely loved it and the vibe was cool and chill. We were able to purchase animal food at the gift shop to feed all of animals. We also had the option to buy a little magnet with a photo of us holding the gator/snakes. Stumbled across this place on Groupon while looking for something fun to do with my little one during summer break. The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The Groupon didn't include taxes, which I had to pay when I arrived. It was only $3 extra, so it wasn't too bad. We walked around and saw a few animals on the trail before having to return for a gator feeding show. After the show, we took a boat ride through the swamp. I thought we would see more gators on the boat ride, but we did see a very large turtle. The smell in unpleasant, but it's nature! It's sulfur water, so be prepared for it to smell very natural haha. After the boat ride, we went back into the shop, where they had several tables and chairs and items to purchase to eat. You are allowed to pack a lunch and snacks from home as well, which we did. They have soft drinks, bottled water and Gatorade available for purchase, as well as snacks like chips, ice cream, crackers etc. After the boat ride, we saw another gator feeing show, and another show with hands on experiences with a baby gator, a non venomous snake and a skunk! After that show, we went to the Native Village and learned about the AIS Indians and how they survived in Florida. Overall, a great experience. My son highly approved! read more

This place is amazing. I took my grandchildren twice and they both said the Airboat at Midway and Jungle Adventure were their favorite. The guides are knowledgeable, there are gators galore, but there are plenty of other animals to see. You can feed the baby gators and turtles. There is a short pontoon ride, an experience holding animals, an interesting lecture about the Indigenous people, and you watch them feed huge alligators. YIKES! read more

'Jungle Adventures' in Christmas Florida has the initial appearance of a 1970's Family Vacation road trip destination. I was skeptical! The regular entrance fee ($27 per adult) seemed steep for a big unknown, so I went out to the car and found a gr0up0n for much less. The wildlife demonstration started promptly at 12:30. We got to hold a baby alligator, the option to hold a snake (no thanks!) and our guide let us pet a skunk! We walked over to a Native American pavilion and learned about Florida Indians. An older Native gentleman in the back validated all the info. We headed back toward the gators and watched our guide LaurieAnn, feed some gators. She had names for every single one! And after all that, we went on a quiet pontoon boat ride thru the lagoon. It was a relaxed afternoon with a knowledgeable guide and the experience exceeded my expectations! If there was a negative, it's old. Some of the boardwalks are uneven and the enclosure for the few wild cats they have seems small to me. But it's charming, and they clearly love what they do there! Extremely good experience! October is a very good time to visit to avoid high amounts of foot traffic. All of the employees were very nice and knowledgeable about the animals and area. We were able to watch alligator feeding, hold several animals including snakes, a bird, and an alligator as part of the cost of admission. In addition to this they have swamp tours on a boat that is driven around the swamp to view the gators as well as other animals they have. They have optional feed you can purchase to feed the turtles and baby gators which was very well priced and a great experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun experience with local animals and people. Very kid friendly as well. We will be returning again next time we are in Orlando! read more

AS far as epic level might go, this place would really rank a 2. Having said that, this is one of those roadside attractions that actually has live animals, an area to walk through, a few shows, Boat ride and a gift shop. When I drove by a building that was the shape of a Giant Alligator I knew I had to make a U-turn. I was expecting to find just a gift shop. Man, I was excited when I got out of the car and saw a bear! I swiftly walked up to the fence and discovered there are two bears in here with a PVC pipe. I instantly knew this was a feeding tube. I progressed into the building and ask right away if I could feed the bear. She started to explain to me the process of having to buy a ticket for the park and bear food. However, I really only wanted to feed the bears. I did find out there was a bag of food where you could feed some of the other animals. I jumped on that why not feed everything? We walked around and saw a lot of alligators they have a very big collection of them. You can feed the baby alligators but that was only ok. They should give you a little fishing pole to clip your hotdog on and drop it into their cage. The peacock follow you around right away when they see you have food. You can get them to jump and eat out of your hand. The main show stopper here in the Florida Panther. I saw 3 of them there. Once appeared to be a small young female. She walked right up to me and talked with me. I wanted to pet her but Claws and Teeth said something different than her cute face. The real fun was feeding the Bear! The bear was awesome looking and he sat when I told him to sit and he ate peanuts I dropped down the tube. This was a great random roadside stop that turned out really well! I had a fun time and they people who worked there were happy and helpful. It's not someplace that I will visit time and time again but one a once in a lifetime stop it's pretty good. Productivity is slowly removing all the wildlife around us and to loose all these beautiful animals just for money is disgusting. We had a fantastic visit to this park today, I wish the website was more clear on how the park worked though. Your ticket includes 3 shows and a boat ride. We arrived right at 9:30am, we were told at this tine the first show would start just before 10am, the shows are back to back, so if you arrive at this time you will effortlessly see everything! Each show is about 30 minutes long as well as the boat ride, it was done all at noon, we packed a lunch (there are picnic tables you can eat at) and then we spent some time exploring the park ourselves. They started the second set of shows around 12:30 or 1.... So if someone showed up at 11:30 and the boat had already left you are kind of just walking around until the next set started. We felt fortunate to have shown up to be able to hit everything flawlessly time wise. Holding the gator was the highlight of the dat for our group! The shows were educational too! Sarah hosted all of our shows, she literally grew up there and her love for the animals was clear! Rescues are sent here to be taken care of, also alligator farms send the babies here if they do not have room. The people here truly just love these animals. All animals that we saw looked well fed. We saw zoo keepers in and out of cages and exhibits feeding, cleaning, and playing with the animals. read more

Near Titusville is this reserve adventure park where you'll see many many alligators, baby gators, birds, turtles, peacocks, plus a swamp filled with algae which you can take a boat tour to see the rest of what the reserved wildlife has to offer. This is the only place where I've seen a times gator feeding and boy, do the workers know all of the gators. It's amazing, they know the sound of the bell and when it's time for feeding. The experience becomes interactive when you buy animal food which has little labeled bags that tell you who the food is for. My family spent about 2-3 hours here and it was more than enough time to see everything. If you're near Titusville, come by! read more

You are so immersed in the swamp ecosystem it's beautiful. At first glance it looks like it is a kitschy Tiger King situation but far from it. We've driven by Swampy 100 times and decided to finally check it out. We were all pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The gift shop where you check in didn't smell good but the staff were friendly and helpful. For the cost of admission you get an animal encounter where we were able to hold and alligator, a boa, and she brought out a skunk we got to pet. They did a talk and display showing Indian artifacts. She fed the alligators in the water but they weren't too lively. It ended with a pontoon boat ride around the lagoon. We walked around the whole facility ourselves as well. Lots to see, we spent 2.5 hours total there and thought the value was very good for experience. They didn't charge extra for the animal encounter and other activities. You could option when you buy food to feed the animals but we didn't. I would highly recommend stopping by if you want an old Florida experience that won't break the bank. read more

This place is not a Florida theme park like Disney or Universal, but it's such a neat "Old Florida" type of place. It's perfectly kitschy and lots of fun. Jungle Adventure's exterior building is "Swampy", "the worlds largest gator". I was sort of confused by this, as I thought Swampy was an actual gator inside the park, but the moniker only refers to the actual building. This touristy looking building serves as the ticketing front counter, information desk, restroom, and gift shop. You can also buy food here to feed some of the animals in the park. I opted for the "special" feed mix which is a combination of turtle, deer, bear, fox, monkey, baby gator, and bird food for $10. It was worth it if you like to interact by slipping food to the animals. It seems like the goal of Jungle Adventures is to support the native Florida species and their habitats. They also take in donated (or abandoned) animals to give them a home. While walking thought the park it was pointed out to us that many species kept there were abandoned and as a last resort (instead of being euthanized) they were taken in by Jungle Adventures. There are small show demonstrations conducted throughout the park on alligators, and a "show and tell" dedicated to smaller critters. During one of the shows the staff show and explain the habitats of a small alligator, a ball python, a tarantula, and a friendly opossum. After each creature is explained you can take turns gently holding or touching the various creatures (with staff assistance and supervision) and you can take some photos too. The only exception is when you hold the gator the park uses their own camera to turn the images into individual photo magnets that can be purchased in the gift shop. You can buy your photo magnet for $5, not bad! Overall the presentations were informative and I was impressed with how well the creatures were handled and cared for by the staff. After the shows we were able to walk around and feed some of the animals in their cage areas via a plastic tube to deliver treats into their specific cage. The deer were really sweet and gentle and it was a lot of fun to feed them. The red foxes were also adorable too. The bears didn't seem interested in the food, but maybe they already had too much. There were other animals that we couldn't feed, including two wolf hybrids, a coyote, a serval cat, a Lynx, and some Florida Panthers. Towards the end of the day we took a pontoon boat ride around the perimeter of the park. Things at the park look a bit dilapidated, but some of the park boardwalk area is currently under work being refurbished. The boat ride was nice and slow and we were able to see the waterway with alligators and lots of pretty duckweed in the water. We also spotted a heron bird. Very interesting place to visit and like that it seems very "hands on" and educational. Also appreciate their preservation and conservation efforts. It took us about three hours to see everything, but we took our time. read more

After meeting Jungle Jim at our resort in Cocoa Beach for the last three trips, our curiosity was piqued by Jungle Adventures, but we never made the trip over to check it out. This year, my brother-in-law bought tickets but couldn't go, so my wife, myself, our three boys, and niece and nephew headed over for the afternoon and the VIP after hours tour. Upon arrival, our kids spent a lot of time in the gift shop, amused by the three talking parrots...one of which says "I am a taxpayer too!" Pretty funny. Once we finally got outside, there is plenty to see. Florida Panthers and cougars and wolves and coyotes, black bears...oh my... so much to see. Deer, turtles, iguanas, mccaws...all very entertaining. And yes, some large crocs and lots of baby alligators. The show was hosted by Allie, who let the kids hold a baby alligator, a tarantula, a corn snake, and a boa. Whoa. Each was presented with interesting facts. After, we went to the Seminole Indian Village, where a Seminole descendant told the history of the tribe and showed tribal tools and weapons. We wandered, fed some animals, and finally around dusk met up with Jim for the flashlight boat ride. The ride itself was fun to cruise the loop in the dark, but we only saw one gator the entire ride. Granted, it was 54 degrees out, so the ones that had been visible during the day were now buried at the bottom of the swamp. If it's cold out, odds are you won't see much at night. But, with over 150 gators in the swamp and another 150 on the property, you will see gators at some point in your visit! Through the afternoon, Jim was quite affable, with lots of facts interwoven with interesting stories. He is a great guide! I guess my real criticism is that compared to what I'm seeing posted by other yelpers, I think things must really slow down during the winter. I'm didn't see the level of interesting shows, feeding displays, or animal interaction that is being touted by others. Hmmm. Jungle Adventures really is a 50's era tourist trap, and areas of it are in need of repair. Time has taken its toll. Yet, despite the $25/adult and $18/child admission fee, it is a really interesting place. Gators galore? Can't see that in Pennsylvania. It was definitely worth the price of admission...but kind of like floating on a raft in gator-infested waters...you only will do it once! read more
