We took our 4 month old daughter to the zoo for a fun afternoon to see the animals! This zoo is the…read moreperfect size for small children and families as you can stay for a few hours and still feel like you have seen everything! It was HOT the day we decided to go so we only stayed for a couple of hours. I do wish there was more shade on pathways, and fans and/or covered spaces to take a break from the Florida heat. We thankfully found a spot by the black bear exhibit that was air conditioned and had only two chairs, so I could feed our daughter. There were MANY other moms that came in looking to also feed their kids and it turned into a waiting game as we had to take turns using the two chairs in that building to sit and feed our babies. The animals were neat to see, because it was so hot a lot of the animals weren't out or were in shady places within their enclosure. I liked that there were zoo workers and volunteers near many of the exhibits that were available to answer questions and provide more information about the specific animals there. Overall we had a great time with our daughter and look forward to bringing her back again in the future.

There is so much to see and do there. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the whole place was. I got there right at opening at 10am to sign up for the capybara experience, but the petting zoo did not open until 11am, so the gentleman at the ticketing gate recommended that I line up around 10:55am. The capybara experience was $15, and it includes a 10-minute time slot from 2-3pm to feed and pet capybaras. If that is all you are here for, apparently Gatorland does allow re-entry so you can just reserve a time slot and come back during your assigned time. I would highly recommend this experience if you are even remotely interested. It was a really cool opportunity, and I did not feel rushed or crowded at all during my time slot (12 people total). Other than that, I enjoyed the shows and train ($3 for unlimited rides all day). There are a variety of animals to see outside of just alligators and crocodiles, so I think there is something for everyone. This is an affordable option ($34) for a day of fun that does not involve large crowds. I spent about 4-5 hours here but could have probably stayed longer if it were not so hot. The website says food and drinks are not allowed, but honestly no one checked. Free parking is a plus!

Since I'm an adult I looked at this area as more of a interactive art section because the animals could be considered statues and it was like a giant art tribute to the Dr. Suess book. Whether you want to just look around or have a kid that wants to play, this area is honestly a fun area to check out.

Ever time we came to Islands, she'd just have to come in here and play around for a while! It's bright and colourful and themed so well. There's just so much to do! There are so many water features here that it's a great way for kids to cool off from the FL heat. Like other parks, there's things to climb on, ride on, and slip and slide on (thanks to the water). Trust me, your children will not get bored here! And fear not if they get wet, it's FL, they'll dry off quickly in the sun. It really is a fun place, mom & dad, you may just even find yourself in this "park" playing with your kids and getting wet too!

(Think someone's very large back yard..) We fed and interacted with goats, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, pigs, llamas, turkeys, peacocks, horses, and a donkey. We spent roughly 1-1.5 hrs there and the owner gave the kids popsicles before leaving. The kids and I had a great time and it was such an easy excursion. All in all money well spent and for a great cause. Tip- you pull into a dirt driveway. Forget about bringing your sports car. You'll bottom out at the entrance. Any regular car is fine.

I was on vacation in Florida, visiting from California. We wanted to see alligators and was only…read morecatching glimpses of baby alligators while we were out and about. We came here so we could see full size alligators and learned that we weren't seeing the bigger ones out because it was too hot out and they prefer to hang out at the bottom of swamps to stay cooler. I saw so many large alligators here! They have about 200 of them here. We got to see them getting fed and learned how smart they are. I loved our guide who made our experience here that much better. He was very funny and informative. He took us on a boat ride and he also gave us the option to hold a baby alligators and a tarantula. I held the baby alligator but opted out of holding the tarantula even though she seemed very nice.

My two year old was probably a bit confused about what was going on when we climbed into our safari vehicle, and I'm not sure she was totally on board throughout the ride to be honest. Although we've been to Lincoln Park Zoo, she was very very young at the time and would not remember being this close to an animal that wasn't on the level of a dog, snake, or turtle. So whilst I think being mere feet from giraffes, elephants, and wildebeests was unexpected, she said she enjoyed it. The driver was informative and didn't make the embarrassing jokes that the "captain" of the Jungle Cruise did, for which I'm thankful. In addition to the aforementioned animals, we came across black and white rhinos, lions, hippos, cheetahs, flamingos, and more. The ride was leisurely and comfortable, and there's no height requirement so anyone can ride. This was a lot of fun to start our first visit to Disney World. It's a very popular ride, apparently. 45+ minute wait times are not uncommon. We used a lightning lane to cut through most of it but we did have to wait 10 minutes or so before we got on. I'd definitely recommend lightening lanes for this one!

She gave a great tour. The animals were active in the morning, so we saw most of them then. My toddler really loved the Safaris. It was a fantastic experience for both kids and adults.

It's not just a theme park. There is a good amount of learning that goes into it. It's education educational for all ages. On top of being a viewing area for different fish, they have different facts and learning material about the sharks that they have in captivity !
