It's not easy finding a nursery that carries adeniums. The semi big ones were a bit pricey, but maybe inflation hit. I ended up getting two sweet little babies to watch them grow, and what's more to like is finding the ones that calls you to take them. It was a hot day, sweating bullets in the green house tents, but I made it through happily!! Love this day walking through beautiful succulents and finding a huge variety.

Having grown up in the Valley, I would see these dinosaurs and be curious as to who the owners were. Were these dinosaurs well fed? I had only recently returned to plant keeping as a hobby and was so delighted to find this cactus ranch in the neighborhood. You could spend hours here looking at their selection, and you will find them at reasonable prices, although I fear writing about reasonable prices will cause prices to increase. The people working here are knowledgeable. You will find some unusual plants here, and I was so tempted to buy one of everything, but of course that is not feasible (yet). I am cutting it down and want to replace it right away. Called Exotic Garden and Jimmy the owner is ordering our new lemon tree with fruit already on it. Jimmy has a been the owner for over 15 years. He has his Gardening contractor's license and is full of knowledge. He has the soil recommendations and fertilizer that will keep all of your fruit trees happy. They have a full selection of Palm trees, privacy bushes, hedges, succulents and decorative plants. Exotic garden is very large and the trees and bushes go a long way. Look at my photos. I Yelped nurseries that were open mid afternoon on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that they were still open. I met Ryan and Carlos who were helpful in my search. Carlos showed me the different roses they had and I was so happy to find the last beautiful and fragrant rose Julio Iglesias! He taught me how to cut roses which I thought was nice of him. My dad and I really enjoyed our experience here and will come back again to check out their other plants! It's open from 8am to 5pm daily with an all-star cast of incredible knowledgeable and caring individuals who help keep GTN great. Grab a wagon and load up because you won't know when to stop with some many great plants, deals on supplies and their inviting layout. As a small chain of garden centers meets plant nurseries I have to say this location stands out. Their online shop is easy also with get learning materials, newsletters , resources and even a plant library. I'll never forget my first trip here with my friend Sam, definitely need to hit her up again for a plant day, but absolutely still enjoy coming here with others and of course solo for some planty self-care. Adding some Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) friends to the plant family at home. Absolutely and 818/SFV/LA Valley favorite among many. You'll want to get lost between the many areas the have here and in the main area as well as their extended open air garden on the parking lot side. Staff here is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. From lawn and outdoor patio furniture or fixtures, fountains, decorations and plant care musts, GTN has a bit of it all. Even fun seasonal items and sales. Entrance in back, where you'll also find their parking lot, fairly spacious, but it can and does fill up on weekends. Restroom available for customers.

Pricing here can be a little steep, depending on what you are looking for. We were looking for pots, and found some nice terracotta ones that were reasonably priced, but inventory was a little slim. I also saw that some of the items on their shelves have been there so long, the boxes are faded and kind of dusty. Some of the signs for pricing are hard to read, so we had to flag down an employee to help us, but they were happy to help. A good portion of the nursery and store are in the shade, but some of the other plants are outside in the sun so bring your sunscreen! There's a lot to explore. Would be a great place to take the family, or even have a little day date.
