2x Blushing Philadendron Prince of Orange
Joe G.

Such a lovely place! Green Thumb Nursery has become one of my favorite nurseries in terms of plant selections and probably the best choices of pots! 2 weeks ago, I got a beautiful ZZ Plant and 2 Peace Lilies, and yesterday I added a stunning Gold Aralia and 2 vibrant Blushing Philadendron Prince of Orange! Going here is like treasure hunting, and pairing the perfect pots for my plants is half the fun! And thanks to Bobby for really helping me choose the best soil, Gary's Best.

Someone recommended Green Thumb Nursery so I went and checked it out also reviews were good. I redid the front of my home and wanted to add some new plants . I walked in from the front as my 1st time being there and wow the place is very big and they have a wide selection of Indoor and outdoor plants and everything you can imagine for gardening. I went all the way to the back and found some one to help me and we looked around and guy seemed pretty knowledgeable but didnt he seemed like he was busy to help and out to no where he goes I have to go to lunch hmmm ok anyways I ended up looking around some more and found few I liked. They are planted and looking very nice I will definitely be back for more things.

You wouldn't expect such a huge nursery to be located in this area but they have a large selection of plants from tropical to flowers, vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, succulents, & seeds. They also have a large selection of soil and fertilizer/ pest management products. I went in looking for herbs to make teas & found some chamomile, peppermint & some seeds to plant lemon balm & bergamot. Super excited to plant my new seeds & will definitely come back with my mom to get more stuff for our garden. The workers there are also super helpful & friendly

This place is amazing the employees are very kind and polite I was here 3 days in a row the manager and Johnathon helped me each time the customer service is really excellent. Sylvia repotted my monstera and she did an awesome job it looks soo beautiful now.

Is it dog friendly?

Yes, they are. I bring my dog often, and she loves checking in with the staff. It's one of our favorite outings.

We stopped back through for a tea and honey tasting in the afternoon. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Topanga nursery. The grounds are surprising. You really have to see it because you can't judge it from the street. There are community classes and activities. Follow their IG and FB pages then go to their website to view a calendar. You can go to the Just Vibes grab a custom coffee and then walk the grounds and speak with the staff about what they offer there as far as trees and plants. They also have beehives and in their gift shop they have every variety of honey you can think of as well as lovely gift items from books to body care to jewelry to honey. It is a hidden treasure in the San Fernando Valley. It's a fun day out for families with kids and just by yourself. Go check them out!

The prices seem very reasonable too. I talked to one of the workers and he was so sweet and answered all of my questions. They were also doing an event for children which is great! Clearly very community oriented which I love. I can't wait to come back to get plants for my yard.

The older gentleman was upset that my kids were trying the fruit off the big trees, even though his employee was letting us try them to see which fruit tree we would be able to take home for ourselves to grow... i'll give them a three star just because he was stalking us around afterwards, even though I bought trees from here multiple times.

I found via Yelp that Paradise Nursery had an array of different types of citrus trees along with other fruit trees that I was interested in. The yellow brick road led us to a very busy free and down to the outskirts of Chatsworth. The exit from the freeway was easy and it took us straight to the nursery. I drove into the parking area and got out into the hot sun!! Citrus trees everywhere!!! It was quiet...strange. I thought there would have been more folks roaming the nursery. Guess what I found out that day as the owner (Shawn) was walking towards us. They were closed and I was trespassing (kidding!) he was nice enough to allow us to stay and find what we wanted to purchase. I felt bad. And also embarrassed at the same time. But here we are. Sixty miles away from home and all I wanted were the lemon trees. Shawn told us we can roam around and see if there was anything on his lot we would like to purchase. After a few minutes of checking out the citrus trees, my older sister wanted to see if there were other "species" of lemons. Lo and behold, she found the Buddha's' Hands and was adamant about bringing one home. Of course I couldn't say no to her so we got a 5-gallon one which had two fruits bearing the stem and then I found a mini Myer lemons and decided to bring both home. The trees came to the total of $118.00 and I cannot be any happier than to have forced my way into Shawn's nursery that day. He was a good sport and answered all the questions I had regarding taking my new plant babies home. Please note the nursery is closed Sunday and Monday. They also do delivery of your purchase to your home or office. I will be stopping by again and I promise this time, it won't be on Sunday!!
