The other parks in town charge more and do not include electric in the price. No, this park does not look like a high end park, but I've been in town for 2 years and I feel safer here than some of the other parks around, just by location and access. everyone here keeps an eye out for other RV'rs so I feel it's a good place to be.

During our stay, we encountered some significant problems with our rig that left it undrivable. We had to stay quite a bit longer than we expected, but the manager was very helpful throughout the process and even allowed us to leave our disabled rented RV behind after a new one was delivered to us. (The mechanic and tow were reported to be coming soon.) We had only expected to stay one night, but we were very thankful to be in a safe place when we encountered engine problems. It's a great place to use as a base camp to explore the area, although we didn't get to do much of that. Thanks again, Kayla for being so understanding and helpful!

There are many attractions to see if you want a day trip. Medicine Lake, Glass Mtn and Lava Beds are just a few. You are one hour from Klamath Falls Oregon. Jessie is on the grounds daily. They're pretty tightly packed, and most people are sort of one top of one another, but campers were generally respectful and it was quiet by 10pm or so. There was at least one water faucet. I only saw one set of bathrooms, three stalls in the women's room, no showers. There were small RVs there, but I don't know if there were hookups. I think all of the sites were $10 per night, self-pay. It felt safe and clean. It's right in the National Monument, about 5 minutes' drive from the visitors' center and the main cave loop. It's way the heck out there, but there are paved roads the whole way. The nearest food I found was about 35-45 minutes from the campground, to the north.
